The best restaurants in Waterford

12/07/2026: Read this was a popular sports spot in the city. Met expectations! Watched a World Cup quarter final. Busy spot with lots of movement. Screens left and right.

14/05/2026: We recently had a small 40th birthday party down in Jarrz and it was perfect. I was dealing with Suzanne via email beforehand to confirm and she was very helpful. We wanted somewhere with a good atmosphere, where we could get food and also watch the Arsenal match. It must be the best sports bar in Waterford at the minute with the sheer amount of screens and every single sports catered for. We had the match on in front of us, we ordered food down from Espresso and the bar staff were very good. There was also karaoke at the end of the night so our party were happy out!

27/09/2026: Staff was not overly friendly- a bit off putting. There was only 1 other party sitting in the bear area and it took a few minute discussion to decide where to seat us. Wait staff was efficient and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Food was presented well but lacked flavor ans a bit bland. The interior of the restaurant is dated and a bit rundown...not sure if would return or recommend.

21/09/2026: Superb experience! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We had the fish pie with relish, and it was an incredible culinary discovery. Everything was fresh. Thank you!

09/10/2026: A quaint Irish pub in the heart of Waterford. Excellent beers, simple and tasty food, friendly service, and live music. Everything you could ask for.

05/09/2026: A favourite place of mine since I was a child. I go to Tramore in the summer specifically for the melted chocolate dount in the dount bar. 🤤 Staff are always excellent, quick serivce and the claw machines are win everytime fun for adults and children alike. Plenty of staff so the tables and general areas are always kept clean. Have seen staff on countless occasions open the machines and swap teddies for little kids who grabbed the wrong one. This is always heartwarming as not many places would do this. Shows respect for customers and not greed telling them to try again. See ye next summer ☀️

09/08/2026: Lovely and clean rooms, Good buzz in the resturant over the weekend also at the evening ! Food was excellent also from breakfast to dinner. Always happy to stay here and look forward to the next time im down.

28/09/2026: We had a very positive experience dealing with Tom during the purchase of our new home. Tom kept us informed and responding promptly whenever we had a question. Tom's clear communication and support made everything much easier. We really appreciated his assistance from the initial viewing right through to receiving the keys. We would happily recommend Tom to anyone buying or selling a property.

11/09/2026: First time buyers - viewed a property with John and told him what we were looking for. He very quickly let us know what he had on offer and what would be a suitable fit for us. We had the next place viewed within 2 weeks and sale agreed within two days. Smooth and transparent bidding and professionalism unlike other processes we have gone through. Contracts and questions were answered and completed in a timely fashion. From this experience I would reccomend John as a buyer/seller.

13/09/2026: Seems to have the same managment company looking after it. In way better shape and managed very well compare to kilkenny market cross and more open shops

05/10/2026: Positively the best bar food available in Waterford. Absolutely delicious, prompt service, fresh as the day is long and served with good cheer and friendly banter especially if you are lucky enough to be served by Lindsey who I am guessing is the manager such is her friendliness and efficiency....she drives it like she owns it!!....if I had a restuarant I'd come for her to take the lead ....i'll be back again soon. Top of the range

16/09/2026: Had a small wait to get a table, but we didn't book ahead so that was on us. Had a drink at the bar, got a seat in about 20 or so minutes, place was packed and I can see why. Menu showcased a lovely selection of food with respect to ingredients and support for other local businesses. Food was top notch, left beyond full, this gastropub has shown why it deserves the awards and returning clientele. Would gladly make the long trip back.

04/06/2026: Quick roadside cafe great for a quick bite. lovely staff that welcomes you as you walk in. Food was great with a short wait after ordering and food came hot and ready.

17/06/2026: A humble and quaint French inspired cafe with fantastic, personal service by Eddie. A hidden gem of a cafe spot in Waterford City, along the Quays. Would highly recommend!

25/03/2026: A really good pint of Guinness, even had a nice tour through the history of the pub. Would recommend to go there and have a few pints.
