25/05/2025: Room was a good size and bathroom freshly refurbished was top class. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. I really enjoyed my stay. The only issue is that the carpark is very small so I had to park in the glen carpark one night.

29/06/2025: Delightful place... I had a really good Reuben Sandwich! I didn't know you can get that in Ireland... But man it was good! Staff were friendly and my iced caramel latte also hit the spot!

21/06/2025: Great pizza and good beer. It was a little bit of waiting for food and drinks but the place was very busy. I give 5 stars. The manager was nice. She apologized for waiting and in general the restaurant is a good place to stay for lunch with the family or friends. Some people who left here some reviews should understand this place is not a fast food.

07/07/2025: There were 6 of us on Saturday night and we all enjoyed our food, however, my wife was very sick after eating the fish pie, while she had a very bad experience, the rest of us thought it was top notch. Just avoid the fish pie.

20/07/2025: I had been looking forward to dining at Mara for the longest time - and it did not disappoint. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely top class. Luis and his team are nothing short of phenomenal. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and passion for what they do shine through in every aspect of the evening.
The highlight? The Basque cheesecake. It was out of this world - easily one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.
Everything about the meal was memorable, from the beautifully crafted dishes to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. If you're in Waterford, Mara is an absolute must-visit. You won’t regret it.
05/07/2025: Fabulous Dining experience , we had the taster menu and wines to match. It was an outstanding night. the attention to detail and the engagement from the owner and chef was amazing .... would highly recommend.

15/06/2025: One of my first choices in Waterford for lunch. I ve never got a bad meal here no matter what I choose. Most options allow a ' half dinner' reduced price choice. Free diluted squashes with your meal. Toilets nice and clean ( I always think that's a reflection of kitchen standards too). Friendly service. Easy parking straight ourside. Heartily recommend.

20/06/2025: Showed up to view a house I was interested in. Now, at no time was it ever stated it would be a group / open house type scenario, but as more and more cars appear followed eventually by the agent, we just left. Had I known in advance, I could have just declined and not wasted my time trying to shuffle around a small house with 5 families present.
Edit: Received a clarification response from the owner John Rohan. Whilst having not enjoyed the experience at the viewing, Mr Rohan was very fair in his response, hence I have moderated the review and we can move on.

16/06/2025: Nice restaurant in the middle of nowhere with a terrible viewon the power plant. The steak and Guinness pie was excellent, the prawn curry was a disappointment, too much corn, otherwise indefinable, overcooked vegetables. We searched in vain for berries in the berry and apple crumble. The portions are generous, and the restaurant is small but attractive. Overall, highly recommended.
30/05/2025: Stopped in with my family and had the best sea food chowder we've had to date! Martin was super welcoming and made us feel at home, I can't suggest stopping in highly enough!
