17/06/2025: Fab takeaway burrito, loved the crispy salad mix, especially the veggie one. Tasty and wholesome. Great to get compostable takeaway boxes too. Will be back!

24/06/2025: You always know when there’s a line out the door that you’re in the right place! Bought a large white sourdough, baguette and carrot cake here - all unbelievable. The staff are incredibly kind and I had a great experience chatting with them. Great range of goods from the Real Olive Company, Harry’s Nut Butter and My Goodness (and even more) Always a must when in Tramore 🙌

26/06/2025: I had the most bizzare experience here yesterday. While in Waterford for the day myself and a colleague wanted to get a bit to eat and a coffee before driving home. We walked in the door and my colleague tried to go upstairs to look for a seat. The girl behind the counter stopped him, telling him he had to order first.... fair enough... We then went to the counter to order but were told the menus are on the tables. As there were tables outside we went out to look at the menus. We then walked back inside to order, but the girl behind the counter wanted our table number first before taking our order.... my colleague joked "you're making it very hard for me to order a cup of coffee here", but the response was "I DID tell you to get a table number before ordering" I pointed to a table outside the window and said we'd sit at that table, but the girl asked me what number it is. Surely, working there you'd know the number of the table. Anyway, she refused to serve us until we gave her a table number. At that stage, with the poor level of service and attitude from the staff, we decided to go elsewhere.

01/07/2025: Mushroom soup yummy and wholesome, pints of Guinness zero perfectly poured with care, Amy then recommended the Sticky Toffee Pudding without hesitation. Im not going straight to heaven anyways but this was sinfully finger licking delicious and I was then treated to the best Calypso coffee I have ever tasted. I've eaten here the last two days and all the food and staff are first class but in a country that has somewhat lost its cead mile failte je ne sais quoi, it is such a delight to watch someone so absolutely deadly at their job. The lady from Croyden is a gem and The Local and Dungarvan are lucky to have Amy and all the crew at The Local. Greatly appreciated by myself and Buddy.

31/05/2025: Decent authentic Victorian pub, not much craic from younger staff but that’s like most places nowadays, definitely worth a visit

29/05/2025: Awesome place. This American had heard the term “creamer,” but I had no idea. It was definitely the best Guinness I’d been served all week. Service was good too.

26/06/2025: It's a giant high quality media display of the history of Guinness. It was wonderful and the gravity bar was really spectacular. One caveat - it was crazy busy

18/06/2025: New layout is fabulous, loads of spaces to gather with friends. Had lunch there, chef wasn't that friendly and food was mediocre. Wasn't impressed that a half portion was only €2 cheaper than a full portion. Would go back for drinks.

29/06/2025: Shamrock Restaurant Dungarvan Located just off of the Square in Dungarvan, there is plenty of on street parking as well as parking in the square and surrounding areas (paid parking) The Shamrock Restaurant has a light airy feel, and although it can get busy at peak times, it doesn't feel overcrowded or claustrophobic. The perfect balance of maximising their floor space, without making it feel too cramped The Service here is very efficient, as can be seen if you visit at peak times, where tables are turned around in a prompt efficient manner ensuring that they can accommodate as many customers as possible, yet you are not felt rushed once you are seated. I assume it is the owner, who is ever present, overseeing the customers and staff, making sure that no detail is missed, and that everybody is looked after. Obviously a very popular spot for breakfast, and is testament to how well it is run and operated. The Breakfast here was great quality, and the tea and toast plentiful One of the few places that serves toast in a toast rack.. Not that counts for anything but most places now just serve toast in baskets, the toast rack was a great idea, especially as it takes up less space on the table! The prcies here are very reasonable, and certainly represent great value for money, given the food you receive. Main courses coming in about €12 /.€13 on average. Well worth a visit!

12/05/2025: A fantastic, quirky and really well run coffee shop and restaurant very close to Waterford Airport. The Thursday hot specials are off the charts. I got the fully loaded nachos with crispy corn tortilla chips, melty cheese, taco beef mince, taco beans, pico de gallo salsa, sourcream, avocado & lime, topped with chillies, jalapeño and fresh coriander. The staff are always so welcoming, warm and the coffee is great too.
