The best restaurants in Waterford

28/07/2025: This cafe was amazing! My partner and I had the best oat milk latte and Mocha along with a delicious apple turnover (vegan)! They had a huge selection of on the menu of sandwiches, pizzas and sweet treats it was hard to pick just one thing so we took a few things away with us for home later. The staff were so lovely and helpful and overall it was just such a pleasant experience I can’t wait to go back!

24/07/2025: This place is a real gem! Delicious salads, sandwiches and meat and cheese boards (I’m looking at you gluten free folks) in a welcoming, clean, non-ostentatious environment. Because it’s a bakery everything is incredibly fresh! Oh and the baked goods are delicious.

19/10/2025: Very nice little Italian restaurant... Great food and wine choices. I would recommend this Gem to anyone who is looking to original Italian food.

17/10/2025: Love going to this Osteria, every time we are in Waterford we pop in, the food is amazing just like in Rome. We always leave with a few extra tubs of tiramisu.

14/09/2025: Possibly the best Chai latte in Waterford, a friendly staff member recommended the flatbread to accompany my Chai latte, I'm glad she did, it was very tasty. I will return again 😊

12/09/2025: We had a lovely pistachio hot chocolate, tiramisu, and a Black Forest dessert. All of it was absolutely delicious! The staff are also amazing and friendly! We will definitely be coming back!

30/12/2025: Fantastic hotel. We had a room with a balcony. It was winter and we had a view of the waves crashing over the rocks beneath. The room itself was beautiful. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a meal in the bar/restaurant. My steak was the best steak I have eaten in a long time. However my wife's chicken wasn't great. Despite that we really enjoyed our stay. It's expensive but worth it.

30/11/2025: Stayed for a our Mini Moon in Sept 2025. Beautiful location. The staff on every turn were very attentive detail. The views from restaurant and room were amazing and to have 2 baths on our balcony was something amazing. Spa facilities were top class. Could it be argued that some of the decor / carpets could do with an update? Maybe. But still a very well presented hotel and the food in both restaurants very enjoyable. House restaurant was something different for us in terms of the menu but still a great experience.

01/11/2025: Stopped in Vee Cafe for a quick breakfast/brunch during the half term and it was superb. Despite being absolutely rammed the staff were attentive and speedy in taking our order and answering questions. The food itself took time to arrive, understandably given that every table was full once we sat down. We had the peanut butter porridge, a full breakfast, and a half breakfast all of which were excellent verging on perfect I have to say in all aspects: taste, presentation and value.

20/12/2025: It was my first time in Mezze and my wife would go there often during the year. We had full Middle Eastern and Shakshuka. Food was super tasty, atmosphere great. Bought chocolate almonds as a treat on way out and a lovely hamper too as a gift for a family member. Prices were very good value for the quality and flavour of food.

18/01/2026: Decent spot. Definitely trying to be a higher end big city bar rather than a pub with cozy character which is fine. Loads of space. Guinness zero is lovely. Food is decent. Smash burger too salty but decent.

25/01/2026: Gone downhill I have eaten here a lot and left a previous positive review, but sadly with new ownership a few weeks ago it is awful. Breakfast is cheap in quality, and in the carvery ban marie for you to line up for. And most recently I had carvery lunch - awful tasting veg, non tasting plaice! Genuinely was the worst fish serving I have ever had. Deep fried frozen potatoes cubes. Awful in every aspect.

24/01/2026: Beautiful food, in such a lovely setting. We had the scallops and crab to start, john dory and beef for mains, and the flavours were excellent. Someone in our party is on a strict dairy and gluten free menu, and the staff were so helpful. Highly recommend.
