The best restaurants in Waterford

01/02/2025: We came here by chance with no reservation, the place was busy but the owner kindly offered us a table. We had amazing seafood pizza, artichokes and olives pizza and extremely high quality tiramisu. I have to say, it was one of the best pizza I’ve ever tried for. Really nice and tasty ingredients. The waiters were looking after us well. Nice music in the background. Enjoyed every moment of our visit and will defo recommend it for anyone who likes real Italian cuisine.

10/03/2025: I'm a regular here at the Granville I go for a carvery everyday love the food went in today thay have a new guy serving the carvery well I was so disappointed in the meat he carved it wouldn't have filled my 7 year old won't be going bk again

10/03/2025: Stayed here for one night on the way from Dublin to Cork. The staff were incredible, room was very clean, breakfast was lovely, and very walkable location in town. Thank you for a memorable stay in Waterford!

21/02/2025: Ate in the Mol’s restaurant section ; Had lunch with 3 friends. I had chowder with a side of fries. Chowder was very tasty but the chips were far too heavily salted. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals. Paid the bill and after 20 mins chatting we decided to stay and have a coffee. Asked for coffees and we were told someone would be up to our table in a moment, 10 mins later asked again and was told the same thing but after 10 more minutes we ran out of time and had to go. Lovely spot but just a few things which reduced a star.

19/02/2025: What a gem. Delighted to find Teolaí. From the minute I opened the door it it ticked all the boxes. Bright airy and welcoming. Coffee excellent bruscetta tasted as good as it presented. Worth a visit.

10/03/2025: Out for a walk on a Monday evening and decided to pop in for a drink . Adam greeted us with a smile and took care of our drinks order . We took a seat and he arrived with two menus just in case we wanted a light bite which turned out to be a fabulous burger and chicken wings to share all very well priced . Kieran checked in on us as he was passing to see if we wanted another drink . All in all the two guys were doing a fabulous double act . I didn’t get the other staff members names but they appeared to be doing an equally professional job with other patrons . These guys deserve your custom and if it wasn’t a school night Margaret and I would have been tempted to stay for the music .

08/02/2025: Incredible views. Food in the restaurant was good and staff were friendly. However don’t expect much luxury, does not feel like a 5 star hotel at all. Very dated with mismatched furnishings and in general lacks any attention to detail. Breakfast was limited. Very expensive price per night for what you get in return

07/02/2025: This is quite the place to visit and stay. This hotel was beautiful and the staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Definitely a 5-star hotel - without being over the top. The hotel was clean and comfortable and upon arrival, you immediately feel relaxed. It was seamless - from arriving at the hotel, to check in - being brought down to our room. We were in one of the Terrace Suites and it did not disappoint! We were wowed upon check in - 2 balconies and a living space and small details in the room that showed the attention to detail in the design (example - lantern provided to walk around at night or to light up your balcony). Everywhere you went, there was a view of the water. The pool and spa were great - highly recommend one of the outdoor baths! Our only complaint was that the food service staff was sub-par. We have dietary restrictions and the food service staff (we only dined at the Bar restaurant) did not seem to be trained to note this. We are allergic to eggs and dairy (it was noted when we booked dinner in the bar restaurant, verbally noted to the host and the server). Brown bread and butter were dropped off at our table (server said there was "probably" dairy in the brown bread). When I asked if dairy could be removed from some of the menu items, she did ask the chef and the kitchen could accommodate certain dishes. However, when dessert came, she handed us the menu and again seemed to forget that we had allergies to eggs and dairy (all desserts had dairy and/or eggs in them). She did ask the kitchen to see if they could had anything dairy and egg free after we reminded her. For a 5 star hotel, I would assume that the service standard flowed through to the bar restaurant. It happened again with breakfast (room service). We noted on the form that we had an egg and dairy allergy (no eggs), and both breakfasts' arrived with eggs. When we called to have this corrected, the service staff came to take away the food, but never returned with the corrected breakfast. We didn't call to follow up/complain as we didn't want to make more of a fuss, so we left it. This is the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Everything else was beyond perfect.

09/02/2025: Went today as another restaurant we usually visit was fully booked,been a while since i was here,it's a lovely restaurant on beautiful grounds but the food was very disappointing,got roast beef,the meet was mostly fat,it was served with no roast potatoes,Yorkshire puddings or stuffing,it just wasn't worth the price there charging for it,place was spotless clean and all the staff i met seemed very plesent,the ice cream at the hut outside was very good.

15/02/2025: “Good halal/vegetarian options “ It was really good place to have a breakfast mostly ready made , love the cozY ambiance and staff is too good, i asked them to warm my cappuccino it got cold while eating instead they made me another new one 🥹so nice of them and cheese cake was very nice , craving to for that cake to go again 😊👍

19/01/2025: This is my second time visiting this restaurant. The food is fantastic, price was very good for 3 course menu €40.00 I thought portions were a little bit small, but we were very full after dinner. Staff were nice and friendly,. We had a lovely evening. The only thing I wasn't impressed - leggings on one staff member. Places like this, should have proper uniform.

21/12/2024: Made a phone booking for a birthday dinner and from start to finish the staff and experience was warm and welcoming! Fish and veg were brilliant loads of extras. Scallops with cheese n mash are worth the price.

17/03/2025: Older hotel. WiFi and outlets in the room didn’t work. It was clean and people were nice, but overpriced for what it was.
