01/08/2025: Lovely local pub, food is good value.

29/06/2025: O'Donnacha's Bar Kilmeaden O’Donnachas has ample parking around the rear of the premises, and a back door which is easily wheelchair accessible. It was, and still is a Traditional Irish Pub. It has a lovely feel to it, and you can tell long before it became a foodhouse, it was a genuine traditional local pub. Much of the character and decor of the building remains providing a cosy pub grub atmosphere where one could anticipate a good hearty meal, and a nice cold pint. Seemed quiet when we were there, but not overally quiet, we were in after the lunchtime rush, and there was a nice few customers enjoying their meals, which gave an overall impression of a place that has a loyal and regular customer base. Despite it being an older style pub, it was spotless inside, and despite some of the tables looking a bit worn with age, and use, (which is perfectly acceptable given the setting) they were spotlessly cleaned and bussed immediately when customers left. Service was prompt and efficient. Upon aerial we were greeted by a nice young male staff member who provided us with menu’s and although he was immediately going to direct us to a seat, as he was about to do so,he left it to us to decide, as the place was not too busy, and there was no need to seat customers in particular spaces. When placing an order, an enquiry was made if a slight change could be made, and to his credit, he immediately said that he did not know, as he had not been working there too long, but would check, which he did promptly and returned confirming there was no problem. Everybody is new to their job at one point and dont always know everything, and I always admire those that openly admit that. They are humans not personal servants. I ordered a chicken Burger, which as you can see from the picture, was perfection on a plate. The chicken was well cooked with a deliciously crunchy coating, when you bit into it half the contents didnt fall out of the far side of the bun, all served with a portion of hand cut chips, and side salad. Zero complaints here about the food Toilets were small but adequate, and although the general feeling of this place is now more foodhouse than pub, the toilets definitely come from the time it was solely a pub.

27/08/2025: I caught them on a bad day this time. No haddock, ling was nice but small, chips were warm, not hot and they had run out of Pelegrino lemon drink. My previous visit was 5 star for everything

03/07/2025: Rib roast 17:50 per portion. 2 of us ordered this. To say it was inedible is an understatement. Full of fat and tough as a boot The veg was like there was a film of grease on them Left most of it and just left. I heard its changed hands in the past year. It shows !!! Definitely wont be going there again

19/08/2025: Ordered a large pizza for delivery yesterday and it was absolute garbage . It was overdone dry and didnt have all the toppings I asked for . Paid over 30 euro for the rubbish. Avoid

01/09/2025: I really love Kyoto Waterford, but I’m taking a couple of stars off because every single time we order chef’s selection of sushi (even the larger portion), it only comprises of nigiri & never any maki or uramaki. It’s really frustrating (I like the mix of types, but nigiri is my least favourite). This hardly represents a variety or selection. I had thought that maybe it was because they didn’t want to prepare a whole maki roll & o my use some of it in the platter, but they use a couple of pieces per bento box, so that’s not the reason. I really wish they would change this, or at least actually call it what it is: Chef’s nigiri selection, not a chef’s sushi selection. As it stands, it’s very misleading. If they remedied this, it’d be 5 stars from me.

20/07/2025: I had been looking forward to dining at Mara for the longest time - and it did not disappoint. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely top class. Luis and his team are nothing short of phenomenal. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and passion for what they do shine through in every aspect of the evening. The highlight? The Basque cheesecake. It was out of this world - easily one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Everything about the meal was memorable, from the beautifully crafted dishes to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. If you're in Waterford, Mara is an absolute must-visit. You won’t regret it.

05/07/2025: Fabulous Dining experience , we had the taster menu and wines to match. It was an outstanding night. the attention to detail and the engagement from the owner and chef was amazing .... would highly recommend.

18/03/2025: Wendy made my daughter's birthday cake. No detail was a hassle for wendy from start to finish.The cake was absolutely stunning and tasted devine .I would highly recommend Wendy for any cakes going forward a pleasure to deal with 🙂

22/04/2025: Our favourite coffee is Yopo - absolutely what one needs first thing in the morning. Blue Butterfly deliver directly to us here, just so easy to order and genuinely the most delicious coffee!

07/08/2025: I enjoyed a great pint of draught Beamish while sat outside watching the world go by. The bar is quite snall but there's a small rear seating area & patio too with toilets. There's some nice historic memorabilia on display.

31/07/2025: Very disappointing lunch. The cafe is very unkempt and the floor was dirty, there was a horrible smell coming from the toilet area and the cobwebs, leaves and dirt in the little exit hallway was awful. I had a vegetarian quiche and it just tasted off. The coleslaw was dry. The staff were lovely and it has great potential.

07/07/2025: Great live music. (Few times a day at weekends). Pints and cocktails are top notch.

04/07/2025: I met with some of my teammates from Waterford, and we had a great time there. The music band was phenomenal!
