23/12/2024: I was in waterford working on winterval and Mario sorted me out with an excellent 15" bruschetta and a great cup of soup. The service is fantastic and the food is top notch, I'll definitely be going back there!

18/02/2025: Me and my partner often go here for food. Today they were absolutely slammed and I was just fancying a takeaway sandwich and a coffee. All the lads there even though they’re rushed off their feet we’re so accommodating and friendly. Even stopped to have a chat with me. Brought the food home and the quality is too as always. Thanks so much lads. Keep up the hard work.

21/02/2025: As a family we spent €98 garlic cheese chip and bacon portions were small, steak sandwich was cheap strips of beef and cold, cheese burgers you couldnt find the cheese, chicken spice bag left alot to be disired size was good but old chips, we also got a curry chips again small portion and old chips, not sure how this place is in business

07/03/2025: There is a reason this is 4.6/5 on google. This gem since the day it opened in dungarvan has always flung out the freshest and most well presented dishes! Everything is cooked to order and arrives hot, but not so hot you can not eat it. Their coffee and hot chocolates are second to none. While at first glance you might be surprised at the prices , the food that you will get will make you see why. It’s simply high quality food at reasonable prices.

19/02/2025: Food was okay. Staff were friendly and food did arrive quickly. However I'd never return. My tea mug was dirty. My daughter's coffee saucer was dirty. We asked for water and 4 plastic glasses came out and we could not use them they were dripping wet and dirty. I had to use my napkin to clean one so my daughter could drink some water. The wall beside us had something splattered on it. Disappointing

17/02/2025: Oh my God! On a cold winters Monday, with the roadside strewn with monkeys carrying brass welders, we stopped in looking for a little warmth in the Bay Cafe in Dunmore east. We both had the Tomato and basil soup and a chicken toasted special along with a latte to wash it down. The soup was the perfect winters cocktail while the sambo was the ideal comfort food to beat away the Monday winters blues. The coffee was to the same exceptional standard and the staff and atmosphere were exactly as you would hope for. All'n'all the best spontaneous stop of our few days away. Dunmore east is beautiful and the scenery majestic, but the Bay Cafe makes it worth coming back.

03/02/2025: Definitely the cosiest and friendliest pub in Waterford - the little snug with the fire is beyond compare. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks with superb recommendations from Tom and the bar staff. Gigs upstairs are unreal. Best value glass of wine in a crystal glass ever!

29/12/2024: This evening, at 5:30 pm on a quiet Sunday, I brought my 16-year-old son and three of his friends to play a game of pool to celebrate his birthday. We had just done a day of bowling and go-cart racing so I wanted them to wind down and have a chat. The place was practically empty - just a couple and two older gentlemen. However, when my son went to get change from the bar, the barman informed him that he needed to be 21 to play pool??? I stepped in and asked "do you have to be over 18 to play pool?" The barman insisted that was the rule. Frustrated and bewildered, we left. I immediately rang the Mansion House next door to ask if the same rule applied there. The barman on the phone actually laughed and said, “Of course not—bring them in, as long as they’re not drinking!” Honestly, what a joke.
