23/05/2025: What a nice little find … tucked away beside Tesco in Roscommon. This lady makes the very best scones … coffee was a little bitter for my taste but what a fab little cafe!

23/12/2024: I was in waterford working on winterval and Mario sorted me out with an excellent 15" bruschetta and a great cup of soup. The service is fantastic and the food is top notch, I'll definitely be going back there!

21/12/2024: Really disappointing experience. Table in the corner was breezy. Group beside us were loud and just drinking, vaping in the snug and shouting about where they would buy a bag that night. Male staff were very friendly. One female server gave a glass of Prosecco to the table overflowing and spilling down the side. Then slammed two of the main courses onto the table. Never asked did we need sauce salt vinegar for chips and fish. Food itself was nice but desserts were way overpriced €9.50 for a tiny cheesecake, not worth it. Service doesn’t match the food and price doesn’t match service. Won’t be back

27/05/2025: Hotel is located along a busy road, you have no further inconvenience. Nice rooms with good breakfast in the morning. Cozy bar where you can also eat. You can park your car in the large parking lot at the hotel.

03/02/2025: Definitely the cosiest and friendliest pub in Waterford - the little snug with the fire is beyond compare. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks with superb recommendations from Tom and the bar staff. Gigs upstairs are unreal. Best value glass of wine in a crystal glass ever!

12/05/2025: Fantastic dinner and service. From the minute we walked in, the team did not disappoint. Immediately approached and shown to a table. The bar staff were great and service was quick. Ordered from the special menu on the board which had plenty of choice. Turkey and ham for the parents, perfect portion sizes, husband lamb - thick slices, although he would have preferred the meat to be a little pinker, that’s his preference. He thoroughly enjoyed. Now to bacon, cabbage and spuds with white sauce, my favourite dinner when I return home to Ireland. I have to say they hit the spot perfectly. Thick slices of the boiled bacon, plenty of spuds and cabbage. All ordered pudding and again portions were generous. The girls looked after our table very well and at the same time not in our faces. I highly recommend a trip out for dinner/lunch you won’t be disappointed

30/04/2025: Stayed here last night with family, and the rooms were fabulous. We booked a family room and it was absolutely amazing, so much space and very modern. The beds were really comfortable. The staff couldn't have been nicer, very friendly and welcoming. Especially the young lads behind the bar. Breakfast was superb, the staff at breakfast were great with the kids and went out of their way for them. The dinner in the restaurant was gorgeous and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for families. Very pleased with our stay 😊

13/03/2025: Best pint of Coors in the universe!!! The staff are totally amazing, they would literally do anything for you, particularly Karen the barmaid and the one eyed barman. Dog friendly pub (even provide bowls for water) and never had a bad night in the last 35 years. If you haven't been here yet, you haven't lived. 6 stars.

19/05/2025: Nice stop for lunch if you're cycling the Greenway or heading for a swim to Clonea beach. They have a great selection of wraps, sandwiches and paninis.

18/05/2025: I am disappointed that they only serve dinner until 4p.m. Especially since the days are warm, lots of people come to the seaside, weekend. They should extend this time to at least 6p.m. I am disappointed because I came there specifically for fish & chips, the best I have eaten in Ireland so far.

29/04/2025: My friend and I visited this cafe and there was a cue, seeing a cue is not a bad sign, It means that this cafe is very popular and from my experience I can understand why, the staff are so friendly and polite, then the manager engaged with customer from moment of arrival to taking us to a table even when ordering food service here at cafe Lucia is not any where else the deserve a gold for service that both staff and management provide to customers and no one customer is treated differently to another. It is a type of service that will bring me back again and again.
