The best restaurants in Waterford

22/06/2025: This is a beautiful spot to have a coffee and sit outside on a nice day looking out over Tramore bay. However the breakfast is terrible if you choose to sit inside. They do not serve food from the menu outside. We had breakfast here today and it was terrible, a breakfast roll with one sausage, 1 egg and one piece of bacon on a dry bun was 8.95. My wife had scrambled eggs on soda bread. This was 7.50 and what came to the table was a small ramekin with egg that had clearly been cooked in a microwave as it was swimming in water with three small half slices of brown soda bread which seemed like cheap shop bought stuff. It all looked very sad. With two coffees the bill was 24.50 and we left feeling very disappointed. It's a pity people can't make a little more effort if they want to charge these prices. It could be a great spot if they sort out the food.

29/06/2025: Was there Saturday before my friend arrived late and she was unhappy staff served other customers there who arrived after her been served before her... 3 staff on floor didn't even ask if she wanted food

24/06/2025: Ordered the full breakfast with no beans or tomato. Was not offered substitute items but was charged full price. Had to ask for my tea to be replaced because it tasted very strange. 2nd cup was the same. A strong fish taste from the water. I just left it.

22/06/2025: I’m over from Spain and was recommended This place. I ordered Turkish Eggs which were delicious! Our waitress Abby, was so kind and helpful, she went above and beyond and even gave us recommendations of what to do in Waterford. 10/10

30/06/2025: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Tomas Maher’s Bar – A Whiskey Lover’s Hidden Gem! If you're a whiskey lover, Tomas Maher’s is an absolute must in Waterford! I discovered a delicious local Irish whiskey here – sweet, smooth, and beautifully mixed in-house. I was actually coughing that day, and after a few sips... I felt so much better! 😂 It was that good. I ended up buying the bottle! The atmosphere is warm, local, and full of character – a true Irish pub experience without the touristy feel. The staff know their stuff and are happy to recommend something special (like that amazing whiskey!). It’s the kind of place where you come in for one drink and leave with a story... and maybe a bottle. 🥃 It's definitely one of my favourite stops in Waterford.
