The best restaurants in Waterford

06/09/2026: Mousies is a mobile food van located in a car park. But don't let that fool you into thinking you'll get second class anything here. There are many indicators that the customer is King here, including the electronic buzzer they provide you with so you can wait in your car and be notified when your food is ready and hot. We ordered a burger, fish, and chips, which were all tasty and well-prepared. The veg & sauce on the burger were in good balance, not overpowering the flavour of the burger. The chips were beautifully cooked - crispy outside, floury inside. The star of the show was the generous portion of fish. Perfectly cooked, the fish was tender and the batter so delicately crispy that I cleared every last crumb from the bag! We found this takeaway while travelling, so I won't be able to visit often. 😭 But I would go out of my way to be able to eat this food again.

06/09/2026: Avoid! Starter arrived 50 mins later after ordering. Mains arrived 1.20hrs after ordering with 2 meals missing. Waitresses didnt inform us there was no more fish batter so we couldnt opt for another dish. Melodramatic staff except for nice lady ...from the kitchen....that dealt with our complaint. No manager on staff! Service very bad. They still expected a tip! Wont be back

06/09/2026: Lovely place, very welcoming. Family owned. We love the breakfast burritos and the waffles with maple syrup. Sometimes hard to get in, so get there early!

15/07/2026: Lovely food, nice atmosphere, the staff are friendly but a bit forgetful, had to ask the chap that served us twice for my drink then twice for a jug of water for the table. It is what it is though.

06/06/2026: Food was nice but the portion sizes for the price are just so bad. 55 euro for a 12 inch pizza and a pasta dish with a portion of chips that I could count how many in this tiny bowl with my fingers. It’s gone like most restaurants in Waterford now, overpriced with tiny portions. Very small deserts that you can see when you walk in for 9 euros a pop, no thanks

30/09/2026: I've eaten twice there recently. Its shopping centre location disguises the fab eating place it is even though its spotless and has plenty of seating. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I had a breakfast thevfurst time, poached eggs on sourdough toast with smashed avocado basil pesto etc and a cup of tea, class breakfast, yum, the poached eggs were perfect, yummy. I had lunch the second time and equally tasty and with quality ingredients. I'd describe this place as a hidden gem, well worth a visit, my mouth waters thinking of my next visit.

18/09/2026: We had an absolutely horrible experience at this place. Food quality is the cheapest frozen food heated. We ordered duck it was so dry and impossible to eat. There where small pieces of other things like leftovers from other plates in it like ham, chicken, prawn. Fries were absolutely dry and cheapest quality. Chicken stew smelled like a bleach and tasted even worse. Even chicken nuggets for our child were overly dried and impossible to bite. We asked the bill they noticed we couldn’t eat anything. The lady asked if we didn’t like it. We said yes we don’t like the food. In a very arrogant manner she asked where we from? Like it would change the quality of their good! We paid i er 70€ and felt like robbed. They didn’t even say thank you for our gesture as I still think they don’t deserve these money. When you open place and call it food service make it a bit better than heating up frozen duck and chicken! I still do not understand how chicken can smell bleach and wee ot was absolutely disgusting!

05/10/2026: We had a fantastic experience at Raglan Road. Marion in particular was so welcoming and really looked after us. The food was both excellent value (hard to find these days) and very, very good. The ribeye I had was delicious and an absolute steal at €12. Will definitely be visiting again.

26/09/2025: Kinda weird. They sat us down in the dining room. An empty room, nobody was there. Took our drinks orders, gave us menus. We were ready to go. Then they told us the kitchen wasn’t open…

12/09/2026: My daughter had her 18th Birthday party here last night and she had an incredible night. From the pre party set up with the assistance of staff, the guidance we received throughout the event from Maurice, the setting has no equal and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. 07/08/2026: Staff that we interacted with were nice and pleasant.Cater for allegens and intolerances.Food was nice but pricey at the time of day we went...Lunch.Catch of the day..small darnet of Salmon,3 small baby potatoes...and I mean small and a spoonful of veg...28.95 euro.Would not return.
