The best restaurants in Cork city council

14/07/2025: What an amazing restaurant! Excellent food - our favorite meal in Ireland! Great customer service; we sat at the bar and had great interactions with everyone there. Also, get the side of mushrooms - you won’t be disappointed.

13/07/2025: We sat here on the terrace, which was completely empty to have a drink and wait for our friends for dinner. Unfortunately, eating with 6 people inside was no longer possible because the restaurant was small (made sense), we were not allowed to sit outside with 6 people because the waiter suddenly expected people at the tables where nobody was sitting and no reserved sign on it either (outside). When we asked if we could only have a drink outside to wait for our friends to arrive, we were told that we also had to order food, but we were just told that was not possible?!?! We were not at all welcome and all suggestions were declined. A very unprofessional comment from the waiter was: maybe first come and talk to me in the future maybe I could have arranged something. But if you literally have a terrace, don’t you expect people to sit there when all seats are vacant? I thought it was a very unpleasant and unprofessional attitude of this man. Would never go here just by the way they treat you.

18/06/2025: We stopped here looking for a vegetarian snack and were rewarded with a super delicious egg salad sandwich. Highly recommended, great value for money. The cider was also delicious.

22/06/2025: There is a new sushi and noodle restaurant here. Everything was rebuilt. The restaurant has completely cleaned up the old business. Everything was thrown in the trash or the previous owners took everything. Everything is now very clean. There is no dirt here. This restaurant is slowly winning over Wilton and the surrounding area because when the food is good, the service is good and the customers always come back. As you know, it takes time to build a business, but this one has already taken off and moved very quickly. Congratulations. Every day, as of Wednesday, there has been a significant increase in business. In fact, to my surprise, you can see a lot of people here ordering to take home. In the entrance hall, there are some chairs where customers wait. But don't be fooled, you can also see a lot of people dining in the restaurant's dining room. This is very good for the area here in Wilton, with the other businesses also open around here. I want to wish the restaurant much happiness and many good things for the future. I hope it has much success and much luck and that it will be open for many, many years.

19/07/2025: Really disappointing, went here a few weeks ago, you get probably 4 good but not great dishes and the others mediocre. Forgot the drink order twice too busy chatting. Did not live up to the hype no chat from server, very dull experience.

19/07/2025: If you'd told me the best vegan dining experience I'd ever experience would be in Cork I'd not have believed it. So glad we took the time, I was blown away. I'll be thinking about this meal forever.

10/07/2025: We stumbled upon Crust while walking around Cork and decided to pop in — and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely wonderful, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered hit the spot. The service was quick and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. It had a relaxed, welcoming vibe that made it perfect for a casual stop. Sometimes the best meals are the ones you don’t plan, and this was definitely one of those pleasant surprises. If you’re in Cork and craving something delicious without the wait, Crust is a must-try!

20/07/2025: Great proper breakfast and fun themeing!! Staff were great with turning tables over quickly without making you feel rushed. Definitely come before 10 if you dont want to wait a little

17/07/2025: If you ask for large portion of beans you will be given 😊. Only Tony's Bistro offers you do early in the morning full Irish Breakfast ‼️‼️👍🏼 Lime also to the tea available no extra charge for it

20/07/2025: A nice place with covered outdoor seating The host and wait staff were very nice and attentive. The mezze platter was fresh vegetables and tasty. The Nico el doner, named after the chef, of lamb was a large portion and we split. The wine was good as well. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend.

18/07/2025: Love this restaurant in the centre of Cork city and visit it often! The food is so good ...I really love the meze starter to share as you get to try to tzatziki, humus and my two personal favourites...the esme and aubergine salads. So delicious! The bruschetta is also a great choice for starter as its so fresh and tasty. The main course selection is very varied with pizza, pasta etc but I usually order the chicken or lamb skewer dish which is my absolute favourite. The baklava dessert is to die for if you have room for it!! The staff are always so welcoming and attentive....and everything always looks so clean . Overall very much a five star experience and definitely my favourite restaurant in Cork city!

15/07/2025: I judge a hotel in particular by whether the content of the information on the homepage corresponds to reality. This is absolutely the case with Mayfield Manor. I have nothing but words of praise for it: - Good and quiet location - Good cuisine - Very nice rooms with air conditioning. ... and much more.

06/07/2025: The food at Izz Cafe has yummy and flavorful food with a great atmosphere. We arrived and they were booked but they did everything they could you make it work so we could stay and eat. I would definitely recommend eating here.

17/06/2025: Food was excellent and reasonably priced, very friendly and helpful staff. We were there the day of the Cork City marathon so it was a busy day but the staff coped extremely well under pressure. I'd definitely return

16/06/2025: Restaurant frequented by locals, being outside the city. Satisfactory food, pay attention to the portions, they are really abundant. I recommend it because it is NOT a tourist place.

12/07/2025: Great apps and good wine selections. Super disappointed by the porterhouse. It lacked flavor and salt. It was a disappointing steak for the price. Apps were small. Felt hungry after leaving. The staff was great however. Super friendly and accommodating.
