06/06/2025: Hands down, our favorite spot in town. The food and atmosphere at The Black Pig are always top-notch. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service is consistently excellent. This place is an absolute must if you're visiting Kinsale!

23/06/2025: An incredibly good café. We had several drinks, all of which were perfectly balanced. Most importantly, they weren't too sweet, just right. The service was friendly. The restroom is very well-maintained. They sell some lovely products in the café, which are also exceptional and great. There are only a few seats, so grab one and enjoy your drinks.

14/06/2025: The barista Diarmuid created an inviting atmosphere, and the matcha was the best I have had in Cork so far. Beautiful personality, a brilliant member of staff. Deserves a raise in my opinion. Will come again and recommend to friends.

02/07/2025: I honestly never fancied the Fish and Chips concept: found it a tad bit too bleak for my taste, however, these guys have something really fresh, juicy and unique. It’s safe to say that this is one of the best in Ireland. 100% recommended.

19/06/2025: Best meal we’ve had in Ireland. Everything was fresh and you could taste it. From the chicken liver pate (best I’ve ever had) to the meringue with homemade ice cream and raspberry sauce. It was delicious. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend that if you come to Kinsale you do not miss this restaurant.

09/07/2025: Without doubt the best Fish and Chips I've ever had. Lovely lady serving, we managed to get a bench, value for money. A large fish and chips 12 euro, amazing value and no doubt the reason it seems so popular. Not greedy, I really like it and will tell everyone about it.

24/05/2025: This place still has me thinking of coming back to Kinsale! Thomas and staff were so inviting, friendly and attentive, the food was off the charts from apps to mains to dessert. Looking forward to next year as I trek back from the Philadelphia area to visit again. You will not be let down, make that reservation and sit back and enjoy it all! AAAAA+++++

01/05/2025: Wow what can I say. This place is a taste delight. By far the best food I’ve ever tasted and such good value. We felt so happy to have found it and would come back to Kinsale (from uk) just to be able to eat here again! The staff are also really great….relaxed, knowledgable and lots of fun!

12/06/2025: Super tasty breakfast! Got the focaccia sandwich and the mushroom toast. Excellent flavors and super fresh ingredients. Vanilla cardamom latte was the cherry on top! Everyone raves about this place for a reason.

06/06/2025: Very welcoming host. Had mushroom on sourdough with Halloumi …absolutely perfect. Home made lemonade, and cappuccino. Lovely banter with staff. Very cute interior. It felt like walking into a friend’s for breakfast.

11/06/2025: Excellent pub atmosphere and service: however I was appallingly ill despite choosing from the GF menu which surprised me; either flour was used in the rib sauce or contamination occurred on frying of the chips. Shame because it felt confident about its allergen safe offering. Be careful.

16/06/2025: Dropped by for an impromptu lunch on a weekday walking back into town from Charles Fort. Everything was delicious. Portions were generous and they had plenty of options for a member of our party with some dietary restrictions (GF, V). Service was prompt and friendly. I would eat there again without hesitation.

06/07/2025: While on a trip to Kinsale, a harbour town outside of Cork City, we popped into Kitty O Sheas for a bite to eat. The food was excellent, and when the live music started, we ended up staying for another few hours washing down the food with cold beers. The staff were great, as was the atmosphere.

30/06/2025: Stopped for a pint and to listen to the music. It was crowded and loud, which was to be expected. We did not order food, so I cannot comment on the food or service.

07/07/2025: There is potential here, but it’s a miss overall for me. Reservations require a CC to hold, which is fine, but sets the expectation for a somewhat elevated experience - which this was not. Let’s start with the best part, the service! Service team was welcoming, attentive and wonderful. 😁👍The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the short ribs, the rib-eye steak, and the dirty mash and grilled vegetable sides. Steak was decently cooked, poorly seasoned, and the peppercorn sauce left some room for improvement. The shirt ribs were okay, sauce wasn’t well rounded. They could have been so much better. The grilled vegetables were rough! The aubergines were slimy and limp (steamed before grilling?), the corn was served with a large portion of the cob still on in an awkward way, the peppers were like the aubergine, limp and overcooked, especially for a “grilled” prep. The dirty mash side was good, but I had the gravy on the side and I’m soooo glad I did, because it was way too sweet. You can’t cover up poor gravy with sugar. We decided not to stay for dessert. The atmosphere has potential, but was a miss. The playlist for me was the biggest problem, think of a whole rock playlist based on the song Loser by Beck, just kinda killed the elevated dinner vibe that I would suggest they go for. The music would have been fitting for a pub lunch maybe. Another suggestion - plants. Not a single living plant in the place, no fresh flowers, nothing. There was a chalk board, with nothing on it. ☹️. Suggest putting special here or if no specials, maybe a suggested pairing or dessert highlight, anything other than the sad blank board. Anyway, these are fixable things, but they probably will need to be addressed if they want to compete in the Kinsale scene, which is full of fantastic options.

27/06/2025: Main dining room has a wonderful ambiance. Staff were very friendly and gave just the right amount of attention to us. Food was delicious! We had langoustine and chicken liver pate to start followed by the pork chop and hake for main course with a side of the charred cabbage. Good wine list and some non-alcoholic options too. The Irish strawberry cheese was fabulously light and not too sweet. Overall, a lovely dinner.

27/05/2025: We had a great stay at the White Lady in Kinsale. Anthony and his team looked after us so well. The restaurant food was very good. The atmosphere, service and helpfulness of staff make it a place I would thoroughly recommend to stay.

24/05/2025: We went back twice in one week the food was that good with service to match it. Would highly recommend.
