19/11/2025: Right, so Man Friday—absolute gem. Walked in and it felt like stepping into a cosy coastal hideaway, all soft lighting and that old-school charm. I kicked off with huge juicy oysters, followed by scampi that was golden, crisp, and downright addictive. The back sole? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. And fair play to the staff—Natalie had the whole thing running like clockwork, no fuss, just good vibes. €96 well spent, no regrets. If you’re in Kinsale and not eating here, you’re missing a trick.

22/12/2025: Their coffee is truly unlike any other I’ve had in Ireland. I ordered the Ko Yao Yai, with subtle citrus notes, incredibly aromatic and such a pleasure to drink.

24/12/2025: A lovely location and great service with a very nice team. Stayed for 2 nights and had 2 rooms on the top floor. Marked down from 5 stars as 1) Top floor carpets and rooms could have been cleaner: lots of hair on carpet which a better hoover would pick up, quite a bit of dust on shelves, and TV was broken (aerial not attached) so couldn't get TV channels. Noise insulation between floors not great, a drunk couple on floor 1 woke us up on one night as they were in the room below. But the beds were comfy, the food in the cafe is good. It's good value for money.

19/12/2025: Great spot in kinsale. Dog friendly too! They have a garden area for those with their dog. The food, drink and service is all perfect 😊

07/10/2025: I recently took my Wife to Jim Edwards for lunch on 20th September 2025. From start to finish the experience was fantastic and the quality of both food and service was simply superb. We were staying locally and our hostess informed me that this establishment has been in business for a considerable period, that it is Jim's son who is now in charge and that this pub/restaurant has been operating at a very high level as long as she could remember. Very grateful for a lovely experience and incredible food. Looking forward to visiting again.

27/10/2025: Absolutely lovely evening spent here. Food was excellent and a very high quality with loads of lovely flavours. The atmosphere was cosy and kind. It was not pretentious at all. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you had everything and enjoyed your evening.

23/10/2025: This is a gem of a restaurant in Kinsale. I visited with colleagues on a weekday evening and had a wonderful time. Everything was excellent, especially the fish steak, which was the best I've had in Europe. The staff were friendly, and the wine they recommended paired well with it. I'd love to visit again.

27/12/2025: They serve great food all day. Very pleasant staff, an outdoor seating area and easy winter parking. The menu selection is not the biggest, but I think maybe that let's them concentrate on getting what they do offer to a very high standard. The grilled salmon is just perfect and I've had it several times now.
