The best restaurants in Dublin

12/11/2024: A very nice place to have a sandwich or something sweet, coffee, tea, etc. Wide variety of milks to accompany the coffee. The service is very good, especially one of the waitresses who is very nice and sweet. A good place to stop for a while to rest.

20/10/2024: A cafe with a pleasant, calm atmosphere, just enough people and extremely nice staff. They don't have a particularly wide offer, but you will be surprised by the availability of different types of vegan milk or other delicacies that you can have, even if you follow a diet - vegan, gluten-free, etc. Especially around the corner from Temple bar it was a lifesaver and a big surprise to find a nice and quiet place with reasonable prices. :)

24/10/2024: "Warm" and "luxurious" come to mind when we recall a recent visit to Stephens Green Club to perform at a fabulous intimate wedding celebration. Everybody at the club was attentive and helpful, and this positive energy gave us the perfect start to a fun evening of live music and an eclectic disco set. Thank you to Helen and all the team for their efforts, we look forward to many more events at Stephens Green Club.

01/11/2024: Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The food was very dry and lacked flavor, which was surprising given the positive reviews I had seen before my visit. The staff’s attitude was another letdown. They seemed unapproachable and treated us in a dismissive way, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. Good service goes a long way in enhancing a dining experience, but it was clearly missing here. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless there are significant improvements in both food quality and customer service.

12/05/2024: Cute Korean place with a small but mighty menu. Dishes are always fresh and staff are wonderfully friendly. Always a pleasure to visit for a bite after shopping. The Korean fried chicken dish for €8 (or €12 sharing) is a must try! Alternatively, they do a great bibimbap if you're feeling a bit more peckish! Chicken is Halal. Certificate on display at point of sale.

03/11/2024: Awful place! Avoid! Staff were not very welcoming and we couldn’t choose where to sit. Only option was right at the back where staff were loudly hoovering and mopping the floor, another sweeping and bleaching the stairs just a few feet away from us eating. Forced to ask them to close the back door as there was a gale force wind blowing and we had to put our coats back on. He did then close it but went into the office and turned up the awful music to full blast. I had a chicken wing that was bloody inside. Very dangerous. Obviously they don’t close at 10pm like they told us. This was all going on around 9.20pm. The food taken away early included prawn crackers which I was very disappointed about. Did not get value for money.

Which is unfortunate as I had a voucher for afternoon tea but it’s fine. irrelevant if google states if open or closed ur still selling voucher for a business that is closed and therefore unredeemable, it is the owners responsibility to inform living social and/or any other company that may be selling vouchers on behalf of the business that you are no longer active. Do you google every place of business you go to check if it is open or closed? Doubtful… a 1 star review is justified as to sell and voucher for something that is unredeemable is bad service. As I cannot comment on the food or atmosphere I will retract these stars, however my time spent going out to your business only to find it closed my time spend trying to get a refund(thus far unsuccessfully) is wasted and thus qualifies as poor service. I apologise if u find this review in poor taste.

30/07/2024: Great place, lovely atmosphere! The coffee and the banana bread were delicious! They also have delicious homemade sourdough breads. The service was good, too. My favourite part is the beautiful cups they serve tea and coffee in!

04/03/2024: Had a disappointing experience at Pawn Shop bar on Dame Street. The service was subpar, despite the place being empty, and it took over 15 minutes to prepare a simple mocktail, which was both expensive and lacking in taste. Additionally, they don't offer any food options.

23/05/2024: The staff are so pleasant and the food is prepared really quickly and to a high standard. Always a lovely place to grab a bite to eat. Would recommend the salmon bagel!

18/05/2024: Quant little cafe with a good range of foods. Everything is affordable, with a coffee, cake and panini coming into to under €15. Atmosphere is pretty quiet in the mornings, so great for anyone who needs to get any work done

30/05/2024: Went to a Celtic night at the Boardwalk and had an amazing evening, especially thanks to the lovely bartender named Louise. She made incredible cocktails - and mocktails, while being very kind and helpful. Very nice place to try it you stay in Dublin for a couple of nights.

05/05/2024: We’ve been staying here on and off for about 20 years and I’m afraid on our last few stays, the experience hasn’t been as good as it used to be. It’s still an impressive, huge bar but it used to have fairy lights everywhere making it more magical. Some of the staff both at reception and in the bar seem a bit fed up but not all of them. The rooms haven’t changed at all so although comfortable, they really could do with being updated. Impressive reception hall but as you come in the main door there’s a couple of chairs and a very scabby table. Just seems tired and neglected. Our room overlooked a side alley which wasn’t pleasant but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also no fault of the hotel is that there’s quite a few hostels all round it. On a plus side, the breakfasts are still good with something to suit everyone and we were pleased with our fish and chips at dinner one night. Vending machines in the lobbies which is handy. Toilets always clean. No Celtic nights for the three nights we were there but had a good Irish music night. It’s still nice to come back to it at the end of the day for a few drinks rather than roaming about the city at night. We will be back but it’s sad to see changes and would be nice to see some money being spent on it.
