11/07/2025: Yep, a really good, well situated, clean bar, nice staff, and food is solid enough.

10/07/2025: What happened to this beautiful bar???? Filthy, overpriced. My guess is non irish owners have taken over. Very sad to see this go down so bad.

06/02/2025: Had a tuna sandwich and coffee. The tuna sandwich bread was soggy and didn't taste good at all. I would never return again...

13/06/2025: I drove all the way to the shop as in the google says its open till 9:30pm in some specific days, but I literally saw they packed and went at 9:02 Pm. Please either edit time or stay till the end of working hours!

29/05/2025: Came to the place at 8.30Am but the store is still closed. Currently still waiting for the store to open. Please correct the opening hours if it is wrong on the Google maps Edit———— So I was waiting til I saw a staff came in the shop and went over to ask what’s the opening hours. She explained that they’re waiting to get the hours changed and offered to sell me some donuts on the spot even though the shop isn’t open yet. Excellent customer service. Bravo to her.

03/06/2025: This is definitely a pub for an older generation, who were having a great sing along with a mediocre performer. Staff were pleasant. My biggest issue is that it was a cash bar

29/06/2025: TERRIBLE: IF I COULD LEAVE HALF A STAR, I WOULD! Me and my friend came here earlier today to buy jollof rice and fried rice with chicken stew. but first of all they our order came sooo late, we stayed there for over 40 minutes and even after the order came and we checked it, we realised that they barely gave us any stew and the fried tasted very stale like it was more than three days old. the chicken? as hard as a rock. I couldn't even eat any of it. and we paid over 40 euros for this meal. it was so disappointing and it was definitely not worth such amount of money. what a waste! I dont even really leave reviews but I just have to put this one out there so I can warn people of such standards the 'restaurant' is living up to!

24/06/2025: Went for takeaway was charged 20€ for frozen okra and 2 pieces of chicken, (overcharged) whilst the people behind me got given more for 14€ asked what the price was again for clarity and was lied to my face. Avoid! They pick and choose

27/03/2025: I MAY have entered the premises without any authorization, but I've seen what they put in the bread and it's NOT pretty I repeat NOT PRETTY. I won't say what it is but if you ever feel a meaty taste on your toast, let's just say.. hmm. That's live deer. Yes

24/04/2025: Last Friday (18th April), I went with a friend to the party, unfortunately a very drunk guy started to bother us insistently, so we had to tell him that we were girlfriends but he kept bothering us, after that he forced me to give him a kiss (2 times) to which I just pushed him, there was no security staff around, then I asked for help to a guy who works there (floor staff) and between so much noise and my anger, I could only explain to him that the other guy was bothering us and forcing us to give him a kiss, to which he just laughed and replied "then kiss him" and left laughing, I find this very serious because he works there, and it was really a very uncomfortable moment in which we asked him for help. Minutes before we had seen on the screen that you have a policy to be a safe place and against harassment, this was clearly not seen or demonstrated by your staff. I really hope that you will train and coach your staff to be able to respond and help efficiently in these situations. We really enjoy going to River Bar for the music but with these situations, we will no longer recommend them as a good and safe place for women. (This is not the first time this has happened or that I have seen a situation like this, I always try to help girls who are in this situation).

13/07/2025: Strictly Not recommended. We have ordered family mix meal for 26€ and when we get its made already and food isn’t fresh when we request to change chicken piece they said its the last one we have. We ask them to give us anything fresh in exchange they give us chicken strips and same no fresh made. It was look like made yesterday. Then we almost binned everything. We have chicken strips left and we requested again to change and then they gave the same one re-fry. It was a bad experience.

04/07/2025: I enjoy the food here, but twice now, as in the last two times I've gone here - there have been small bone fragments in my food. Last week I ate and had a a tiny piece of bone stuck in my gum afterwards, which was difficult to remove; and today, now I have a fragment stuck in my throat for tha past 3 hours, which I have no idea how to remove. This is really basic quality control, and I can't be only one if it's twice in two weeks. Very unhappy.

08/02/2025: Index is gone. The security staff, who many people have mentioned before, were an issue. I was there with my girlfriend and had a bean bag with me. One of the bouncers jokingly called it a "lady bag" and kept laughing at me. I didn’t want to argue with him because I knew he wouldn’t let me in after, but honestly, some basic customer service would be nice. I paid for my ticket, which helps pay their wages, so a little professionalism isn’t too much to ask. I get that they don’t need to be geniuses, but hiring staff with at least some common sense and a professional attitude would go a long way. The security checks also feel more intense than at an international airport. And maybe try opening on time? We know you’re the only club in Dublin, so we don’t have many options, but this is Ireland—it’s windy, and it rains. Standing outside for an hour in that weather is enough to make anyone sick. I used to love Index, not gonna lie.

01/02/2025: Mind the bouncers, they will sack you for the minimal reason or not let you go in if you arrive late doesn't matter if you have the ticket already.

06/05/2025: It's a pretty good place, just small so if it gets busy which due to its location it does can be a bit much for some people, was showing the football and also had live music so yeah there's a bit of everything.
