28/09/2025: Place was pretty enough. It’s inside a hotel. I chose it cuz it was close to my hotel and I was tired from travelling. Waitress was lovely. I chose a Caesar salad that tasted nothing like any Caesar I’ve had before and onion rings that dropped grease when I squeezed them, and were inedible once they had cooled. ll in all the most disappointing meal I had in my five days in Ireland.

21/09/2025: We ordered fish and chips. They looked fabulous but the chips were inedible. I prefer chips to still have some of their original potato recognisable in them. These were overcooked and really dry. The batter on the fish was very thick. Not light. First time in Ireland so may be a local preference but was not enjoyable to we Aussies who are probably spoiled for choice at home. The best thing about the meal was the impeccable service and the hot chocolate.

27/09/2025: To be fair the rooms are fine. And also to be fair, this should not even be a hotel with the noise. It’s ridiculous and you will not sleep. Had to move coffee cup off of the table because it was shaking.

08/03/2026: Ordered from here twice and both times the food has arrived quick but soggy. Soggy is not a good quality for food especially pizza. i think its the packaging. even the chips were soggy. 1 out of 10 i would give it.

05/03/2026: Out of 10 I give it a nine, the dough was soft and the pepperoni had just the right amount of spice, very good

04/01/2026: We went for lunch for 8 people before a game in the Aviva. Service was very poor, no consistency with waiting staff. We were served by a different waiter every time. Very slow to get drinks and food. It took over an hour for the kids to be served their food. Food was average but overpriced. Tempura prawn starter had 2 prawns for €22. Kids meal €18 for 2 courses!! We were the only table in the restaurant so I’m not sure why service and food was so slow. The hotel is beautiful. The setting is lovely. If service was better this could be a great place to dine.

19/10/2025: Truly awful experience today for lunch. We had been on many occasions before and were always wowed by the atmosphere food and service. A group of 6 of us arrived for lunch today and were seated next to a group of 50 people which appeared to be a christening. The noise was deafening, children running around screaming and staff were few, and very overwhelmed. The food was really poor, the accompanying salad with the prawn tempura lacked freshness, the steak was as tough as old boots with no marination, and the ice cream for dessert was similar to what you’d get at a children’s birthday party. I complained to management and they did discount the bill, a solid gesture but not what I was looking for! We were looking for a nice meal in a ‘small leading hotels of the world’ restaurant but it felt like a cross between McDonald’s and a roadside cafe. Management need to step up, this is APPALLING, and we will not be stepping in there ever again

06/02/2026: I order a food from justeat, order a kebab and spice box, it took an hour to get it. I called and said it will be few minutes away after 30 i called in again and yer man said " he is coming just wait then hang up the fone" which is really rude. By the time i got my food, kebab was cold and the chips are like a stone cold and the chicken.. i dont think they value their costumer from what i experience. I will never recomend this shop to do deliveries as they wouldnt give a single care about you. I will never ever order from this shop ever again. Wish i could get my money back!!!

31/07/2025: We really enjoyed X Spice, its tasty dished like the Hot Box and its friendly owner and staff. Sadly it closed permanently this month.
