The best restaurants in Dublin

23/01/2026: The food was just fine overall. I was pretty disappointed with how watery the sauce was — I prefer it thicker and more gloopy, with a bit more bite and chew. Because it was so liquidy, it didn’t really mix well with the noodles, and it felt like there wasn’t much sauce clinging to them. The flavour was okay, but it mostly tasted like MSG — tasty enough in that classic takeaway way, but not much depth beyond that. Portion sizes were decent, though it could have used more noodles. It did the job, but nothing stood out, and I’ll probably be waking up very thirsty tomorrow morning. Overall, it was fine, just not something I’d rush back for. Pic of leftovers attached! 17/10/2025: First time eating from this place never again. Rice was hard like it had being cooked ages ago. Got my food home to discover that there was no prawn crackers in the bag. The food was all ready eaten before they arrived with the prawn crackers.

25/02/2026: Great experience today at Avoca, the food was wonderful and the staff friendly. Definitely recommended!!

06/02/2026: The food is great! I had the run-of-the-mill breakfast, which includes all the Irish morning favorites. The toast with the jam went well with the black pudding. Freshly squeezed orange juice, so delicious. The only reason this place doesn't receive 5 stars is that, as others have mentioned, the wait staff can be preoccupied and slow to take an order or refill water. The quality is great, but this will come at a cost. Not sure if Dublin is expensive, or if it's this place, a tourist two cents.

30/03/2026: Spice bag is decent, but can be hit or miss on certain days. Chicken is halal (according to the staff and owners).

28/02/2026: i ordered from here the worker told me my order would only be a half an hour.One and a half hours later and my order still isn’t here so i call the driver and he says he returned to the shop without telling me. I then called the worker back she accused me of giving the wrong address even though i made it very clear and told her my address more than three times. I said am i going to get a discount she the said no and hung up the phone i tried to call her back multiple times and she will not answer. And now have no idea if my order is on the way. My kids are starving i would not recommend theses this is ridiculous and i will never be ordering from here again

12/11/2025: I used to order from here every week ,lovely staff but since last week 5/11/25 when I ordered the price of the food has gone through the roof ,way too expensive now so I go elsewhere. Greed will get you nowhere, you lost a loyal customer 11.50 for a spicebag shocking

22/03/2026: I’m a regular customer and while the food is generally at an acceptable level, I’ve been quite disappointed with the customer service. What made me write this review was my recent experience on the phone. I called to place an order for collection, but as soon as I asked, the person on the phone didn’t even let me finish and responded “bro, we don’t do collection on the phone, you have to order online,” and then quickly hung up. I found this quite disappointing. A bit more politeness in how customers are spoken to would make a big difference. I hope management look into it.

04/04/2026: Worst fish and chips in my life! The fries were not fried enough, the fish tasted like nothing and the batter was way to oily. Plus the portion is way too small for 21€!!! (Thank god it was this small in this case because I couldn’t have eaten another bite of this) The best thing was the music and curry sauce to end on a good note.

02/04/2026: Had cod and chips. Fish was nice , crunchy batter , fish cooked . Chips weren't to my taste bit limp, I like them a bit crispier but that's personal choice. Mushy peas were very runny. Nice touch with the tartare sauce. But on the expensive side at £22 but its in a tourist area.

23/10/2025: It's a Starbucks in a food court in a shopping centre. I can't fault the drinks or food selection. There are usually seats free, unless it's a particularly busy time, but that's to be expected anywhere. The staff are LOVELY, friendly, polite and efficient. I dropped my coffee on my last visit, a venti mocha all over the floor. They were so kind after I'd made such an awful mess. Honestly, their graciousness and patience was heartwarming.

19/10/2025: best takeaway in Dublin - go here after every night out - unreal falafel kebab. My non vegan friend loves the lamb kebab. top spot with friendly staff. yup ricos.
