10/12/2025: Really Disappointing experience with Paramount hotel i recently visited in December 2025. The room had no ventilation and there was really bad smell in room coming from toilets like Urination, even after spraying perfumes and doing all possible stuff it felt like puking all time couldn’t sleep all night as bed was just beside toilet. The room was not so spacious it was bathroom sized rooms. Worst worst worst experience i ever had. I recommend everyone who is reading this review please consider booking another hotel as this will give you Trauma for life…

21/12/2025: I never write reviews but my experience with the new token was so frustrating that I had to write it for people to save their money and time. It's a shame because the previous token was good fun and had wonderful memories which is why we tried this one out. First off, music was way too loud and couldn't hear a word anyone said. Then, it took 30 minutes for the staff to bring out a glass of sparkling water and a cocktail "soda pop", that they serve in a can which they could have mentioned before you spent €14 on it. I understand they may be busy with other orders but not once did any staff come down to us to maybe ask if we wanted to order anything/ if they could help. They gave us menus so you would expect the staff to come around and ask you for drinks/food but guess not! The food arrived 50 minutes since we arrived which was served like it was meant for kids. I had to question myself why I was even eating the pizza I got as it wasn't good so I couldn't even finish it. The whole experience kind of ruined our evening so we didn't even want to try any of the games so we just left. The only positive I can say is that it makes you appreciate actual good restaurants/bars that serve good food and that have an enjoyable atmosphere to chat in. Definitely avoid this spot for moment.

21/12/2025: If you're expecting the same vibes as old token, then dont. The vibe has completely changed. It honestly has lost that quirkiness we all loved. We were told there were no tokens left even though we had a reservation?? The walkways are directly behind machines so it's impossible to even play. Socials said there were plenty of new games but I personally thought it was the exact same. Everything was just super disorganized, they clearly weren't prepared for Christmas.

08/10/2025: is this even a genuine apache ? i really don't accept that i ordered Vegetarian Fish pizza today i wouldn't discuss the 1 hour delay in the delivery thats possible to happen but the shape of pizza was literally when a 5 year old try to make a base with the edges bigger then the breakers on road . was half burnt was literally tasted like curry rather then a pizza the the condition of Bread ,we were literally struggling to chew i was unable to cut it through teeth. disgusting service extremely disappointed

16/09/2025: I have a complaint about this place: every time I buy my favorite coffee, it doesn't taste good. They are stingy with the caramel, or on one occasion they gave me one that wasn't what I ordered. Also, the coffee isn't so cheap that they don't put love into it... I hope it improves.

28/06/2025: A meagerly stocked franchise. The cappuccino I had was watery and unpleasant. A cappuccino should be a light and frothy morning drink, not a scalding hot insipid latte.

27/11/2025: The ingredients that I was served were from probably the day before or so How come that lettuce, onions and tomatoes, such simple and easy to get vegetables be rotten in such a shop Anyway I also paid 6.20 … for all this scrap food

05/10/2025: You might survive this place but not even worth the risk. Save yourself, avoid it. I have no idea if this restaurant is called Vela or Sheila's Palace, but I guess its safer for them to go with 2 names so that when people realise how bad it really is, they can just change names. first time i really enjoyed this buffet restaurant, it used to be great. Unfortunately, my recent visit was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. First off, the food quality has dropped drastically. Now after reading the review section, I relaised how many people are falling sick after eating here. Many dishes were either empty or left unrefilled for long periods. To make things worse, the setup is unnecessarily complicated, you have to pick half your food from one area, another half from a different section, and some items from the kitchen. It’s very inconvenient and confusing, especially when you’re trying to eat with guests. A lot of the food that was available was cold, not hot at all. The plates are tiny, almost as if it’s designed to make things more inconvenient. And some seating areas are so far from the buffet that it’s just impractical. But the worst part of my experience was when I found a piece of metal in my food. Yes, a sharp metal piece. I didn’t create a big scene because I was with some non-Indian guests and didn’t want to leave a bad impression about our hospitality or food. Instead, I quietly informed the chef, who seemed genuinely apologetic at first. He assured me he’d refund my meal and promised to fix these issues. However, after waiting quite a while (understandable since chefs are busy), he returned only to say he would refund just 50% of the bill. I refused, not because of the money, but because of the principle. I even paid for my drinks separately, just so there was no confusion that I was asking for a refund for money’s sake. What really shocked me was his final comment: “I’m sorry, but this happens.” I’m sorry, but no, it shouldn’t happen, ever. Finding metal in food is a serious safety issue. This experience was beyond disappointing, it was unsafe, inconvenient, and handled poorly. Sadly, I’ll never be going back to this place, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values food safety, quality, or basic professionalism. I am almost on the fence to report them.

30/09/2025: Food is garbage,no lights on in carpark,hard to get a spot,my car got crashed into while i was in here! Avoid!

08/11/2025: I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice and was deeply disappointed. The rice was completely overcooked and mushy, nothing like "fried" rice at all. The chicken was so salty it was practically inedible. Considering how bad it tasted the price is absolutely unacceptable. Definitely avoid.

31/10/2025: Stay away it's just not worth paying for I was here on a Sunday had to wait for curry sauce mostly all the food was cold or reheat and probably the 3rd time around I could go on -deserts were no better just don't go if u like ur grub

25/08/2025: I ordered in Ubereats. Got it delivered. I ordered munchiebox and they forgot the chicken ball, which is the best part of the munchie box. Food is good but won’t get it delivered again. Might click & collect to check my order is correct.

22/08/2025: Was looking for something different but just avoid the place. Shuffleboard tables look ok but they aren't....not level or properly sanded and they are too close together to enjoy playing. Service was just atrociously slow. Pool tables are ripped. Bar was STACKED with dirty glasses and dishes and pitchers.

22/08/2025: This place was terrible! Slow service, crappy food that gave one of us stomach problems, dirty, bad shuffleboard tables, way overpriced. Don't waste your time or money here.

09/08/2025: Absolutely terrible service from the blonde girl at the counter. I walked in the place and we were the only costumers. Had to wait 3 minutes while she just sat there doing nothing before she even look at us to take our order. After giving the order slowly and clear, we received the wrong order. Of course i didn’t check on the spot all the items, which the wrong item was the last in the bag, but with previous experience, never had an issue. When i got home, i called the shop, and trying to reason with probably her on the phone, she insisted i’d be paying for the replacement of the wrong item and delivery. Absolutely gutted with this service!! Very unprofessional!

23/11/2025: Used to love this Chinese but just ordered beef and black bean and pad Thai, no chillis on the menu warning that it was hot, yet it was very hot with tons of chilli added. Really didn't enjoy it. Very disappointed that it wasnt prepared as advertised. I often order these dishes from Chinese takeaways and never have I received it so hot like they accidentally tipped the whole chilli spice in.

23/11/2025: Ordered black bean beef and pad Thai, both covered in chopped chilies. Menu doesn't show any spiciness for these dishes. None of the family enjoyed it as it was unbearably hot. Never had this issue before with this takeaway.

10/11/2025: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent service I received. I placed an online order with Chef Ongar, and I believed the payment had been processed. However, the delivery driver informed me that the order was unpaid upon arrival. When I offered to complete the payment online, the driver's demeanor became unprofessional. He raised concerns about an incorrect address, despite my consistent use of my Eircode, and then entered my residence without permission. Following this incident, I contacted Chef Ongar directly to arrange online payment, which I promptly completed. During this conversation, I was informed in a threatening manner that my patronage would no longer be accepted. As a loyal customer at this address for five years, this is my first negative experience with your establishment. Consequently, I will be discontinuing my business with Chef Ongar.
