The best restaurants in Dublin

08/06/2025: Base has gone way downhill in the last year or two. As a loyal customer since it opened, the changes have been stark. Quality has dropped enormously, ingredients have been swapped out for cheaper alternatives, all while prices have increased dramatically. I understand with the current situation around inflation all restaurants have been increasing prices, but doing so while also providing poorer quality food is unacceptable. Sad to say I won’t be returning.

12/06/2025: I ordered a pizza to collect, I used my car and live less than 1k away, it was almost cold and it was the worst tasting pizza I have had and I am including frozen retail ones. My wife said the same. Never again. Peter P. S I also waited for the pizza.

30/05/2025: I order a pizza every Friday and and get great food and service. Never disappointed.

22/06/2025: We ordered from here for delivery. The food never showed up and the money had already been charged to the card. We had to wait until 4 pm the next day to contact them about it, when contacted they could’ve been nicer about the situation.

21/06/2025: I’ve consistently had issues with my orders from Canton City. The order is rarely correct the first time, and I often have to call back to get it fixed. On top of that, the wait times on the phone are very long, and it’s difficult to get proper assistance. I hope the management takes steps to improve accuracy and responsiveness.

15/05/2025: Wanted some Mexican and randomly came across this location as I was walking in the area. Service was pleasant, and there were a decent amount of options. Restaurant is a bit small, so if the local chavs aren't outside hogging the tables there's only a few places to sit inside. Felt like I got a good meal for the price paid, and it wasn't chain location glop.

01/04/2025: €17.90 for fish and chips with a can of coke and garlic sauce I think is quite pricey😬 however it was delicious. I gave 1 star for the atmosphere because for the whole time while I was waiting for my order, what looked like a senior staff was giving out to one of the newer staff who actually served me, and by the way was very pleasant and professional. The older senior staff was not teaching him - he was giving out quietly but quite disrespectfully while waving his hands and throwing bags around. It was painful to watch and I actually felt bad for the younger guy. I was going to ask for a receipt to see a breakdown of the stuff I got as it seemed a bit expensive but I didn’t after seeing the scene I described because I would have just stressed the young guy out.

08/04/2025: Absolutely awful , chips either burned or reheated from last night , chicken ball were the same burned to a crisp , inedible. Call shop and was told " bring them back for a replacement " . Stay well clear of this joint.

30/06/2025: I’m a regular customer to pizza max and order multiple times a week but have noticed the last two times i ordered they changed the pepperonis on the pizza and I am devestated and honestly wont be ordering again until they bring back the “old pepperoni” there “new ones” are giving the whole pizza a horrible taste and ruining it please bring back the old pepperonis but other then that a great restraunt and always lovely well mannered delivery drivers

29/05/2025: I’m really disappointed with Pizza Max right now they got rid of their meal deals. Their old deal included a pizza, two sides, two drinks, and two dips for €20. Now, it’s €24.40 without the Coke and dips. Paying more for less just doesn’t make sense. Pizza Max has always been a budget-friendly option, but at this rate, I’d rather spend an extra €10 on Domino’s for better quality pizza.

26/05/2024: Best pizza I've had in Dublin. The downside is that there are no cutlery. The pizza is cooked in the oven, there is a friendly chef-seller.

28/06/2025: Visting dublin. What the heck??? Spent whole day looking forward to this The swallow was completely watery.... so disrespectful they could not make simple pre made swallow. the jollof rice was so inauthentic and bland in flavor and made with basmati rice. The egusi soup was tasty but no beef like the picture.. one chicken thigh and 1 shaki.. this was soooo disappointing. Especially compared to a completely different nigerian restaurant experience in london.. never again

18/05/2025: Skip this vendor! Fried rice with prawns and chicken, came with "no prawns" and stale dried chicken! Rice was salty and tasted horrible. Fried turkey spicy with plantain, came with turkey that was dried and soaked in oil (how they managed to achieve that is beyond my imagination). Packaging had tags half ripped -off making it look like it was repurposed for my order! I threw the entire order in the thrash!

04/08/2024: FYI this place is closed. They took my booking and deposit and never informed me they were closing. It was for my sister's hens. Thank god for the hairy lemon across the road fitting all 12 of us in!

04/06/2025: Appalling. Ordered food, 45 minutes after stated delivery time, nothing. Ring up the place to be told "driver is out". Wait another while still nothing. When I ring back to enquire , the unbelievably rude woman on the phone states "well I don't make the food". No offer of a refund for food we've paid for, which hasn't been delivered. Literal robbery. A kip. A kip with rude obnoxious staff.

22/12/2024: We always go there and get good sushi and burgers. The Asian waiters are so kind and very fast. Will be back only for it

12/10/2024: Went to a Japanese restaurant , but it’s actually just a bar. Then the waiter says that they DONT have sushi, sashimi or any kind of seafood at all. Very dissatisfied, I ordered ramen that was bland and tasteless. I don’t recommend this place at all.

19/06/2025: A friend recommended this bakery for me. It was good at first. I bought a few birthday cakes every year for my family. Today I got another one. It was awful. I wasn’t very satisfied last time, but I didn’t think much of it. However, after this time, I don’t think I’ll ever come back to buy any cakes again—they were just too bad. Not as it used to be.

18/06/2025: Bought a vanilla cake for my daughter’s birthday but the cake was stale, it was like biting into cardboard. I’m so disappointed after spending 30euros on this
