The best restaurants in Dublin

19/06/2025: A friend recommended this bakery for me. It was good at first. I bought a few birthday cakes every year for my family. Today I got another one. It was awful. I wasn’t very satisfied last time, but I didn’t think much of it. However, after this time, I don’t think I’ll ever come back to buy any cakes again—they were just too bad. Not as it used to be.

18/06/2025: Bought a vanilla cake for my daughter’s birthday but the cake was stale, it was like biting into cardboard. I’m so disappointed after spending 30euros on this

23/05/2025: You dont see much of Dublin and after a while it gets boring. Not in Temple Bar at all. There are better ways to spend an evening, disappointed. Go bowling instead.

11/05/2025: I do not recommend booking this. I was on a stag do the weekend just gone and arranged the pedal bike tour for 9 people costing €270. The reviews and the website describes the tour as lively, you get a tour of Dublin, the leader gives good banter, stories and the pubs you stop off at are excellent. 4 pubs in total and the last one is great. Here’s the reality - you meet at the Lombard before you begin which is a great pub. Then you stop off at 2 pubs - both overpriced, terrible pubs before returning to the Lombard! The leader says hardly anything during the tour, you see nothing of Dublin and the bikes have definitely seen better days. It’s a complete rip off for €270 and I recommend not doing this!

20/07/2025: The food here is genuinely very good — no complaints about the taste or quality. But unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The real issue is that the restaurant is never open. I’ve come by on multiple days, at different times, including a Sunday at 7:48 p.m., when it’s clearly listed as open — and yet, the place was closed. There’s no official opening hours posted anywhere, and the hours shown on Google simply don’t match reality. There’s also no real service to speak of, which makes the whole experience feel like a gamble. For such a good location and quality food, it’s frustrating that you almost never find it open. It’s a real shame — great food, but you rarely get the chance to actually enjoy it.

26/02/2025: A nice restaurant with a friendly staff. We ordered the burgers and they tasted really good. The drinks were delicious and looked cool as well. The menu is not too big, but everyone will find something for themselves. Our little daughter got the fries and ate the whole portion - although she is quite a picky eater. Special thanks to our waiter Oleksiy who provided the best service and was super helpful. He directly brought a high chair for our daughter, gave us the best recommendations for food and drinks and was very friendly. We are definitely coming back!

17/12/2024: Wait staff were lovely. Food was not. I ordered the vegetarian "snack box". The warm fillet (i.e. squished vegetarian chicken nugget) just served to heat up my rocket leaves. Those rocket leaves were not dressed, as the menu stated they would be. My 11 chips were floury. My sriracha sauce was actually taco sauce, and somehow tasted watered down. I asked for ketchup sachets instead. My apple pie for dessert was cold, despite it being a wintry food in December. I am grateful to have been so consistently amused at how poor the food was.

01/06/2025: Very nice Thai Red Curry, eat anything Curry sauce based. Duck is very dry, fatty, old, and not enjoyable

25/06/2025: Have been going here over 10 years food was always excellent and service was to! But gone down hill quality of food now is appalling I used the delivery service quite a lot and as a family of 5 our it’s always a bite order so got our delivery chips where soggy and oily 5 burgers and onion rings where all cold an had to be put in the microwave Which was disappointing my daughters ordered 3 milkshakes and they never came so rang up to complain about the food and why we didn’t get the full order and was told we would have to wait another 40 minutes for milkshakes but staff member was so rude I told him l was a long time customer but he didn’t care I ask to speak with the manager but was told she was on holiday till the following week so he took my number and said he would definitely look after us on the next order for free and said manager would contact me but didn’t rang again to order the following week as was told to and they said no they didn’t hear anything and would get the manager to phone me so didn’t get any call so I have given them a chance to resolve the matter but they didn’t So that’s why I’m leaving this review I won’t be ordering from them again and neither will my friends and family !

21/05/2025: Naan and paratha were indistinguishable - both tasted like poorly made pancakes The Dal Tarka was pure liquid and full of oil The chicken tikka shashlik was ok

23/02/2025: Ordered take away, scooped half a cup of ghee off the (vegetarian) Dahl, and was able to drain it straight from the paneer dish!!! Way too much oil.

12/06/2025: A cafe in a good location with outdoor seating. But they only serve coffee in paper takeaway cups, even when sitting in. Not great.

01/05/2025: My matcha was lumpy and the person used wooden coffee stirrers instead of a whisk to make it. It tasted so powdery won’t be coming here again.

25/05/2025: Don’t order from there. I have waited 50 minutes and the order has been cancelled. Even the delivery driver rang the bell and said my food order is cancelled for some reason. I ordered with ubereats.

28/06/2025: My partners and I got the meal deal with 2 spicebags, rice, curry sauce and 2 minerals, firstly the staff were extremely rude over the phone, it was ready within 10 minutes, the atmosphere in the shop was dark and dull.Food was rubbery and chicken was overly chewy to the point where we couldn’t even eat half of the chicken.My partner and I got food poisoning from Lam Inn leaving us vomiting and with diarrhoea.I would never ever in my life order from this PLACE again!

05/10/2024: The lads are always upbeat, friendly and helpful. They cope well when there is a rush, the service is always friendly from my 100s of visits. The food is better than what to be expected for a very good value place. Copious, endless amounts soya etc for coffees
