Green Man Wines
Dublin
12/10/2024: The food and wine are fabulous we were blown away by the food , but unfortunately one member of younger female staff is terribly rude no manners not even a hello stood over us and didn’t say a word.We should have asked what the name of this staff member was because there was another young girl and she was so polite. Again food and wine are very nice but when you are spending this kind of money you expect the basics such as a hello, this staff member served us all night on the 12th of October and put a damper on our experience

Little Darlings Play Cafe
Dublin
28/03/2024: Recently attended my Granddaughters 4th birthday party here Jodie new owner has an amazing set up you are a credit to everyone who attends. All the adults were able to have a chat with a tea & coffee without the worry of the kids running off. We can't wait to come back for midterm fun:)
18/03/2024: New owner Jodie goes above & beyond we had my little girls 4th party here. She had a small bouncy castle up for us prams cars with car tracks instruments a ball bit a soft play area for baby's a tunnel for them to crawl through and lots of other toys. She went around all of the parents and offered tea and coffee numerous of times. Gave us jugs of juice and chicken nuggets sausages and chips. Everyone that was there said the same thing we could all relax and have a conversation with another parent because there was nowhere for them to run off too like in the play centers. Jodie is warm & welcoming we will definitely be back for her next birthday. Thanks so much for a great day Jodie 🥰

The Grange
Dublin
21/10/2024: Good hearty old style carvery. Nice lamb but grey. No rare beef or lamb. No Yorkshire puds. Half size meal overpriced as are soup and desserts. Needs more salads. Popular and brisk but stagnating.
29/09/2024: Avoid this place at all costs! Myself and 2 friends came for a Sunday carvery and got 3 non -alcoholic drinks coming to a total of €70, we came in for the carvery at 4pm as we were hoping to watch the football match at 4.30pm. Once we finished our food, we moved to a different table metres beside where we were originally sitting with a better view of the TV screen. What appeared to be the owner of this 'welcoming pub' came over to us very rudely and told us to leave as the pub was not a 'living room'. This is absolutely shocking behaviour from this man to customers who had just spent a good bit of money to enjoy some food and watch the match. The staff were lovely, however, I feel extremely bad for them having to work for a person like him. Would highly recommend everyone to avoid The Grange Pub. Shocking carry on from this fool of a man and certainly not a way to treat customers telling them to leave for absolutely no reason!!!

Noctor's
Dublin
11/09/2023: Great place full of character 👌
27/08/2023: Back on track we went into Noctors, a pub with a bit of a “reputation” shall we say. Straight away we stood out, two culchie (country) lads in the big schmoke, so much so a lot of the clientele thought we were coppers. Bit funny, perhaps less so when they started following us to the toilets! Least we were safe, not like they are going to whack a cop, lol!
Anyway place was pretty busy, mostly young fellas having a few jars. Ordered a Smithwicks, this isn’t a craft beer joint! Bar lady was friendly, and efficient, pint served fine, and was tasty. Did strike up a conversation with a nice young man beside us, but it was a bit distracting when literally the whole bar were looking at us. Still though, gotta love the Dubs, eh!
Didn’t get to take any photos of the interior or my pint, best not to really. This is definitely a local bar for local people, and we drank up quickly and left even quicker………….thankful we were to survive another day! (Albeit I had a drunken suspicion we were followed!)

Writer's Lounge
Dublin
24/02/2024: Went to the writers lounge for dinner. The experience was disgraceful
Ordered food and a drink. My order was wrong, despite the fact I had made it clear not to include certain items on it.. They took it back and took about 30 mins to replace it.. In the meantime my husband had finished his .
I ate some of it and complained to the server they had not put ALL of the other items on the order. I told him I didn't want any more of it and would not be paying for it, (my meal only)
The server said he would get the manager. The manager eventually came over , and displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and customer service. Instead of addressing the issue with empathy and understanding, he responded rudely saying as I had eaten some of the order I would have to pay and threatened me with involving the Garda , completely ignoring the fact that the problem stemmed from their kitchen.
When I argued that I was complaining about the food which I had already sent back he wasn't interested. . Furthermore, he then threatened to bar me from the establishment, coupled with the unnecessary mention of surveillance above me, . This created a hostile and very uncomfortable environment.
We finished up our drink and paid the full bill.
It's deeply disheartening to be met with such disregard for customer satisfaction, especially after being a regular customer. I cannot in good conscience recommend the Writers Lounge to anyone, as it's evident that complaints about poor service or incorrect orders are met with hostility rather than resolution. Additionally, the exorbitant prices only add insult to injury.
