30/05/2024: Went to a Celtic night at the Boardwalk and had an amazing evening, especially thanks to the lovely bartender named Louise. She made incredible cocktails - and mocktails, while being very kind and helpful. Very nice place to try it you stay in Dublin for a couple of nights.

05/05/2024: We’ve been staying here on and off for about 20 years and I’m afraid on our last few stays, the experience hasn’t been as good as it used to be. It’s still an impressive, huge bar but it used to have fairy lights everywhere making it more magical. Some of the staff both at reception and in the bar seem a bit fed up but not all of them. The rooms haven’t changed at all so although comfortable, they really could do with being updated. Impressive reception hall but as you come in the main door there’s a couple of chairs and a very scabby table. Just seems tired and neglected. Our room overlooked a side alley which wasn’t pleasant but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also no fault of the hotel is that there’s quite a few hostels all round it. On a plus side, the breakfasts are still good with something to suit everyone and we were pleased with our fish and chips at dinner one night. Vending machines in the lobbies which is handy. Toilets always clean. No Celtic nights for the three nights we were there but had a good Irish music night. It’s still nice to come back to it at the end of the day for a few drinks rather than roaming about the city at night. We will be back but it’s sad to see changes and would be nice to see some money being spent on it.

02/03/2025: Great Coffee Shop. Nice location and plenty of parking. Staff very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Good selection of food and fast service. Toilets clean and disable friendly. Family friendly too. Definitely worth a visit large area of seating. Nice place to drop in for a coffee and seating outside also for nice weather days. Management very helpful and sometimes well ask if everything is ok.

19/03/2025: I'm a local and I've been using this place almost weekly for a few years. I'm getting really frustrated with the portion sizes. I thought the lad serving be tonight was messing with me. He barely covered the bottom of bowl with the rice. I had to ask him twice to add more and overall, with the rest of the ingredients, the bowl was only half full. They were out of chicken, which is fine, but I got a scabby amount of beef, half of which with basically just fat. I really used to enjoy coming here, but the quality and lack of decent portion size for the price has become a joke now.

15/03/2025: Absolutely fantastic place. We arrived mid evening and the place was busy, though very warm, welcoming, the banter with the staff was outstanding. Brilliant atmosphere and what a pub should be. Will definitely be back.

26/02/2025: As the name of the store suggests, the ship-related interior was nice, the staff was friendly, and the draft beer was good. I heard there's a pub quiz every Thursday, so I'll come next time. It was also nice that there was no smoking.

23/02/2025: We are from Switzerland. Two years ago we were able to sing live with Kevin and his brother and had a lot of fun in this pub because he called us to this pub and we were able to get to know it. When we recently visited the pub to see if there would be good live music again, I was excited. I was nervous with joy as I stood outside the pub, excited to show it off to my fellow travelers. We entered and looked for a place. We went to the bar and the bartender was a red-haired man with frizzy hair who was very annoyed and uninterested in us. We want to order a beer and ask what types are available. The man looked at us in a very annoyed, condescending and arrogant way and made a hand gesture as if it should be clear what kind of beer was available. Without saying anything and labeling us unwelcome, he continued to say nothing, so we chose a beer that we hoped was available. He got us the beer, didn't even look at us, popped the beer in our face without looking at us and ran away. I wanted to ask him if there was still live music today, since I had such a great evening two years ago. However, that evening on February 15, 2025 was a sad catastrophe. The serving girls simply cleared away the glass without asking if everything was okay or if it could be something again. No sound. It seemed as if the workers wanted to get rid of us. I entered with so much joy and memories and stepped out full of disappointment with my fellow travelers. I looked at the red-haired man again and walked out without saying anything. If we hadn't gone there again, I would still have fond memories of this pub.

23/02/2025: Wow, I was in this pub again recently after a two year break. The host was so rude, really bad. I haven't experienced such insolence in a long time. I really can't recommend it, I'd rather go somewhere else. Totally unpleasant atmosphere Bad-tempered faces at the bar The service was really bad. Barely had time to place our order. The waiter immediately left as if he was happy to be rid of us. Totally unfriendly and not interested in his job. That doesn't work at all!

04/03/2025: Film times dont suit anybody with a job. Mainly 1pm and 3pm. Maybe this suits staff only. Lovely cinema and restaurant very unique building. But restaurant is too expensive for what you get. Students are a bit grumpy. However unique films shown.

04/03/2025: Very good experience. Was for a Peruvian movie screening. Had a nice time watching an awarding movie

25/03/2025: Highly Japanese themed restaurant but the food wasn’t rememberable , the service was great.

09/03/2025: Excellent service from friendly waitresses. At our request, they were served very quickly, there were 7 of us.
