Falafel
Dublin
10/12/2024: We went there after a night out because we were hungry. We bought a mix of meats and it was so small! We hardly were full after the meal. The atmosphere was also not that good, no music, no special decoration and the tables weren't clean.
08/12/2024: From the moment I entered this place, I knew I was going to like it. A warm, friendly greeting, a complimentary soup on what was a really cold day and really delicious (crispy on the outside, fluffy inside) falafels sealed the deal. I had kibbeh which had a lovely balance of spices, and the Falafel and Halloumi plate, with a cardamon tea. Absolutely outstanding food and very reasonable prices. Lovely staff too, which is always a good thing.

National Gallery of Ireland
Dublin
10/12/2024: A beautiful art museum where you should take time to look at everything in peace.
We were very surprised that such a large museum was free.
09/12/2024: This is one of Ireland's key landmarks for art and culture and a must-visit in Dublin. The gallery showcases stunning works of Irish art alongside notable European pieces. It also features engaging temporary exhibitions. Don't miss the charming café and the well-stocked store at the entrance!

The Washerwoman
Dublin
30/11/2024: Laid back & quaint restaurant, I'd say the vibe is somewhere between a cosy pub & a fancy restaurant which is exactly what I was looking for during my weekend away in Dublin. No draught beer unfortunately but the cocktails were amazing & made to a high standard (as was the food of course)! The service was 10/10 too!
25/11/2024: Four of us had a brunch in The Washer Woman yesterday. What a find! The food was simple and wholesome, made with love, from hight quality ingridients. The lady behind the bar named Bronwyn is one crafty mixologist. Her Negroni and spicy Margarita were spot on. Definately will be back again.

Brew Lab Specialty Coffee
Dublin
05/12/2024: This honestly was the cutest cafe I went to. However it was very short lived as one the employees I believe an Indian man literally insulted me and my friends to leave the restaurant. He said “this is not a library or a charity” I was extremely offended but we didn’t say anything, please note we we were paying customers. We went after a birthday lunch to grab a few coffees and a muffin and macaroons . The cafe was empty so it wasn’t like we were taking up space in a crowded setting. Very disappointed that management allows their employees to speak to paying clients this way.
Would definitely not be visiting a cafe where I wasn’t felt welcomed as a paying customer. I would say though on a lighter note one of the employees was very kind to charge my phone and tell us about the days special.
The coffees were amazing and their pastries were really nice too. Unfortunately after being insulted by their employee I’m unfortunately won’t be visiting this lovely cafe again.
30/11/2024: As a coffee snob, best coffee experience I’ve had in Dublin.
Staff super helpful & friendly

Oliveto
Dublin
10/12/2024: We booked online for a family group midweek in November. As per Oliveto restaurant website there was a lunch menu option from 12pm to 3pm Monday to Friday with 1 course for 20 euros, 2 courses for 25 euros & 3 courses for 30 euros. However when we arrived we were handed an "A la carte menu" & to our surprise was told that recently the lunch menu no longer applied, despite what the website stated. The "A la carte" main course now ranged from 24 to 40 euros/ starters or "small plates" from 10 to 22 euros/ desserts from 7 to 15 euros which is a big price increase from the expected lunch menu!
Also in small print on the bottom of the menu it is stated that "a 10% charge applies to all our tables and is paid directly to our staff" which is unclear if this is automatically applied to the bill-which was the case, This should be stated more clearly that this 10% service charge is applied automatically to the bill as lots of other tables seemed to be confused & also left tips behind on the tables.
Lastly when booking online under the "terms & conditions" there is a 30 euro charge per person mentioned if a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the booked time-this is rather steep with a 2 days cancellation notice required. Change in plans & emergencies do happen!
Overall it is a nice location but over priced for what was supposed to be a lunch menu & the portion size that were served, it was unclear that the service charge automatically applied to the bill & there was a real sting in the tail in the online booking "terms & conditions" with a cancellation required within 24 hours of the booked time or else pay 30 euros per person! I will think twice before going again.
08/12/2024: Definitely will go back.
This is a lovely setting for a restaurant in a hotel which has been on this spot for many years.Comfortable and nice bar ,the restaurant is open, noisy but the food is excellent and tasteful.I will go back.

Lundy foots
Dublin
03/12/2024: We went on the recommendation of the tour guide, and it was so good that we went again that same week.
01/12/2024: We ate in a cozy area in the back, for lunch, on a Sunday. The sat is quickly, the food arrived fast, and yummy. The bar area is more lively, but we didn't eat in that section.
