Chequer Lane by Jamie Oliver
Dublin
07/08/2026: We had a great meal at Chequer Lane. The fillet steak was one of the best I’ve had - cooked to perfection, with a delicious peppercorn sauce, sticky onions and chips. The chocolate mousse desert was a real highlight - incredible shards of dark chocolate flake with honeycomb crisp and a gorgeous mousse. Comfortable seating, excellent wine and the friendly and attentive service made this meal a real pleasure.
07/08/2026: I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend and we had some wine, which was genuinely very good. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the service. We found the staff to be quite judgmental and, at times, unnecessarily rude, which made us feel uncomfortable and took away from what could have been a really enjoyable experience.
The wine was lovely, but unfortunately the service was not at the same standard. Hopefully this can improve, as the overall experience could have been much better.

Delahunt
Dublin
18/07/2026: Celebrated a special birthday here. The staff were so incredibly attentive beforehand when discussing menu and options for private dining spaces. Staff on the day were also brilliant, our daughter has a nut allergy and they made every accommodation to ensure her safety. And finally the food was sublime, just so tasty and creative. Cannot recommend enough.
16/07/2026: If you’re looking for a great atmosphere and excellent food?! This is the place😍 and the service is warm and very attentive! A real gem❤️

Glas
Dublin
18/07/2026: What a wonderful experience! The food and service were exceptional from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented, with incredible flavors that made each course memorable. I’m so glad we had the chance to experience Glas it was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dublin. Thank you, Chef, for such an unforgettable dining experience!
15/07/2026: The restaurant is adorable, calm, on a beautiful street. The drinks were delicious and well made. The service was stellar.
However, while the food was initially pleasing to the eye, upon tasting it my fiance and I realized something was deeply wrong. The flavors were mismatched, bitter, and overall nauseating. Most dishes were difficult to finish. The vegetables themselves were cooked well, but then inexplicably smothered in increasingly bizarre and unpleasant sauces and garnishes. Sometimes it felt as though they added things because the words sounded artful on the menu, but the final effect was nothing short of inedible. For example a crumble underneath the oyster mushrooms that tasted like tobacco and sand. Then a main dish that had a thick white sauce that I'm certain was made of just water and cornstarch, with no flavor at all, which if truth be told was preferred to some of the flavors I had to endure previous to it. We were also under the impression the main vegetable would come with at least a noticeable portion of rice, potatoes, or anything which might sate the appetite but this was not the case. The beet root dish amounted to one small beet, however artfully served.
The dessert was a burnt creme brulee which was bruleed to the point of blackness and an admittedly tasty ice cream which was for no reason at all served on top of some sort of sour pickles. The meal cost us 90 each all in all and I would accept the small amount of food if it were easy to eat, but unfortunately it was difficult to finish even the small amount served. It seems as though they once had a highly skilled chef, but he must have quit and been replaced by a drunk dishwasher.

Green Man Wines
Dublin
05/05/2026: Excellent food and, of course, wine. Staff were very accommodating and sweet. They fit us in on my birthday. Will be back!
02/05/2026: Lovely evening here recently. A small but imaginative menu- tried pretty much all of the hot dishes and they were all excellent, particularly the hake and the purple sprouted broccoli. Fabulous selection of wines and friendly, knowledgeable staff who are happy to help. I'll definitely be back.

Groundstate Coffee
Dublin
26/07/2026: Came back again two years later and it’s still just as amazing!
Of course I couldn’t leave without having the pulled pork again (absolutely delicious and full of flavour)
The coffee was great and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.
It’s also in a great location, just a short walk from the Guinness Storehouse, so definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

One of the best breakfast I had in Dublin! 😋
Seriously, the pulled pork sandwich and the french toast are amazing! You must try it! 🤤
My friends tried the mushroom toast, they loved it.
Friendly staff and quick service… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
26/07/2026: Top spot for brunch in Dublin. Ludmila and her team couldn't be more charming and attentive. Fast and efficient service, and the food is top-notch.

Mister Magpie Coffee
Dublin
03/08/2026: Something happened with cappuccino, very disappointed… I come here quite often - it was the best coffee in Dublin, but I felt scammed twice last week: ordered as always - no thick milky taste 😠 First time I also had sweets so couldn’t recognize what exactly was wrong, but second time it was very clear that it isn’t the same coffee. I checked my card and instead of 4.20 I was charged 3.95. I didn’t come to economy 25 cent, I was coming to have the same nice taste 😭 if the previous standard settings were with another “formula” and something was changed, maybe better to give ppl a choice 😩 I’ll definitely delete this review if you teach me how to roll back previous cappuccino settings 🙏🥺 thanks
29/07/2026: Get takeaway coffee here regularly and food the odd time. Staff are so sound, coffee is phenomenal and is better priced than most around. It’s always hectic in the morning but they manage to make it flow. Lovely place, lovely people, lovely buzz. Maith sibh!

3 Leaves
Dublin
05/08/2026: Lads, I'd strongly advise against eating at this restaurant.
I'll admit the food tastes good, but taste means very little if the quality and hygiene aren't up to scratch. Manager and chef seem far more interested in making money than looking after their customers, hiding behind fake smiles and gesture.
What really put me off was seeing the chef still preparing food while clearly unwell. I could hear coughing and sneezing while I was waiting for my meal, which was very concerning.
I also had a chat with one of the staff members, who mentioned that the chef and manager often scold on customers in their own language, assuming nobody else will understand.
Good food should always come with proper hygiene and respect for customers. Sadly, I didn't see either here.
24/07/2026: Absolutely THE BEST Indian we have had in ages!!! 5* isn’t enough stars 🌟

Baily Bites at Kish
Dublin
10/07/2026: Service is fast and practical. You order, get a number, and wait for someone to call for your number. Took around 10 mins to get 2 Fish&Ships.
The fresh cod is delicious. Portions are very big.
08/07/2026: Before our cruise to Ireland's Eye, we stopped at Kish Fish café to grab something. We enjoyed our Cappuccino with delicious pastries. After our cruise, we stopped again but to buy something for our dinber in the shop. We found fresh fish pies, fish curry and battered fish. The prices were interesting. When we went to the till, the lady said that there was chowder at half price due to the short expiring date. So we bought 2 chowders bowls and some salmon slices. All the dishes were delicious, we have found our " fish shop" for the food and the kindness of the staff.
