Nightmarket
Dublin
12/03/2026: Excellent food, friendly service and good wine list.
11/03/2026: I wrote a review here three years ago, and after living in Dublin for over six years, I’m back to say that Night Market is still comfortably the most authentic Thai food you will find in Ireland—and quite possibly in all of Europe.
As a Thai native, I’m very picky. Most places offer a 'one-chef-fits-all' menu, but Night Market is different. They actually bring in chefs from the six major regions of Thailand, ensuring that every dish stays true to its roots. You aren't getting a generic version of Thai food here; you’re getting the real deal.
The Khao Soi is a perfect example—it tastes exactly like what you’d find in a top-tier spot in Chiang Mai, and the portion is massive. Their Duck Red Curry is another masterpiece, rich and complex, honestly better than many high-end restaurants back in Thailand. My kids are obsessed with the Moo Ping (Grilled Pork Skewers) and sticky rice, which is always a sign of quality. And a pro-tip from a local: do not skip dessert. Their Brownie is incredibly rich and dense; it's hard to find anything like it elsewhere.
The staff are excellent, the menu is well-structured, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Don't even try to compare this to your standard local takeaway; this is proper Thai culinary art. If you want the most authentic Thai experience in D6, this is the only place that matters. Still 5 stars, no questions asked!

PI Pizzas
Dublin
29/12/2025: In the heart of the most tourist area of Temple Bar, you’ll find an exquisite wood-burning authentic pizza restaurant. It arrivals anything you’d find in New York City or anywhere in Naples. I needed to get eight pizzas to go for the cast and crew of a performance just down the street at the project art center. The staff was incredible to deal with and had my eight pies ready in under 10 minutes. The cast and crew raved about the pizzas plenty of options for vegan to vegetarian to a meat lovers delight.
25/12/2025: Pizzeria opposite Temple Bar, prices slightly lower than many other pizzerias, good pizza, let's say it's on par with an average Italian pizzeria, so for a place outside of Italy, it's very good, especially if you're looking for something more Italian after a day of fish & chips and local food. Quick service and a quiet, pleasant atmosphere.

One Pico
Dublin
01/06/2026: Food was great...but frequently explanations. Pricey.
19/05/2026: I had dinner at One Pico on Saturday evening, and although I had read many outstanding reviews beforehand, the experience still managed to exceed every expectation. I arrived anticipating a memorable meal. I left convinced that One Pico is operating at excellent culinary level.
From the very first amuse-bouche, the steak tartare was superb.
I was fortunate enough to try three different starters, each outstanding in its own right. The Crab was wonderfully fresh and elegant. The Poached Organic Salmon was deeply flavourful, elevated by a fantastic treatment of peas in both whole and velouté form. The Braised Beef Cheek Raviolo was sublime: intensely savoury and executed with real finesse.
As a main course, the Lamb Rump deserves special mention. The cooking was impeccable, beautifully pink, tender, and precise, but what truly impressed me was the extraordinary pairing with the mint foam and the Mediterranean-inspired red peppers. The mint element brought freshness and aromatic lift without overwhelming the dish, while the peppers, cooked to perfection, added sweetness, depth, and an unexpected elegance. It was a sophisticated and brilliantly composed plate.
Desserts maintained the same exceptional standard. The famous Passion Fruit Soufflé fully deserves its reputation: light, aromatic, perfectly risen, and balanced by vibrant acidity. The Chocolate Tart was equally excellent.
There is clearly an excellent level of talent in this kitchen: outstanding produce, skilled execution and precise technique.
Equally deserving of praise is the front-of-house team. The service was polished, warm, attentive, and perfectly paced, exactly the level of hospitality such an impressive kitchen deserves. I must also highlight the excellent recommendations from the sommelier, with great expertise and impeccable manner.
One Pico is, without question, an essential dining destination in Dublin for anyone who truly appreciates exceptional cuisine and refined hospitality. I will absolutely return every time I visit the city.

Octopussy's Seafood Tapas
Dublin
14/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall, we had a pleasant experience, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. We waited about 45 minutes for our food, which felt a bit long considering the dishes were good but fairly average.
The seafood was fresh and reasonably priced, so I wouldn't call it overpriced. The oysters were definitely the highlight of the meal—excellent quality and very enjoyable. The chowder was good and comforting, though fairly straightforward and nothing particularly memorable. The patatas bravas were a little disappointing, as they arrived somewhat soggy. The boyfriend called it a passable grade bland meal - had beer battered fish.
Service was fine, and the atmosphere was enjoyable, but the restaurant felt a bit overrated based on our experience. One area that could use attention is the restroom, which was quite messy during our visit.
That said, we still had a nice meal, and there are some standout items on the menu. Worth trying if you're in the area, just perhaps with slightly tempered expectations.
11/06/2026: Very enjoyable! The oysters and mussels are so delicious. The sauce of mussels is super nice! Maybe it’s not best season of scampis. Still 100% recommend!

Flower & Bean
Dublin
02/12/2025: Wow this is a little hidden gem :) It is in a little random place but once you find it, it is a cozy and warm place to be! Great for kids and the food... is one of the best bang for buck deals in Dublin!!
27/11/2025: This place is gorgeous. The food is carefully sourced, well made and fairly priced, but above all delicious. Sitting by the window with a coffee in an enamel cup is a singular joy. I have noticed it is really family friendly also. The owners have created something really special here.

Red Torch Ginger
Dublin
03/06/2026: I had an amazing Thai Yellow Curry here the best I’ve ever had. Chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert was amazing as well. The vegan pad Thai was amazing also
01/06/2026: Having lived in Thailand, it's always difficult to find "authentic" Thai cuisine in Europe. But here, the food was delicious and the portions were generous. The female staff, in particular, exuded Thai charm.
Definitely recommended.

Vice Coffee Inc
Dublin
05/12/2025: A well-balanced cafe that manages to stay comfortable even during busy hours. The layout allows people to sit without feeling cramped, and the overall pace never feels rushed. It’s a good spot for slowing down, having longer conversations, or simply taking time out while staying close to the city’s energy.
02/12/2025: Modern, upbeat cafe with staff who clearly enjoy their work. The atmosphere is lively but never overwhelming, making it suitable for casual meetings or solo visits. Coffee quality is high, and the space has a natural flow that keeps visitors comfortable for longer periods.

Wallace's Taverna
Dublin
12/04/2026: Servers were lovely and the portion sizes were massive. Nice place would come back
11/04/2026: Very nice restaurant in the heart of Dublin. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered the Carbonara and the Amatriciana. There was a problem with the Carbonara and the staff was quick to offer another plate or to remove it from the bill. The Amatriciana was delicious with a great sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. We will definitely give them another try. 👍
