Kodiak, Rathmines
Dublin
19/09/2025: Lovely restaurant in Rathmines. Pizza was excellent, maybe the service should be a little bit quicker but I love it
18/09/2025: Lately they've downgraded in terms of customer experience.
This has been my local since they open. Staff was always really sound and would make classic cocktails outside the menu or accommodate certain details, last two times I went there, they were rude and seemed like they were rushing everything and couldn't be bothered even when it wasnt a busy evening.
Would hate to see them going down that path.

Nightmarket
Dublin
12/03/2026: Excellent food, friendly service and good wine list.
11/03/2026: I wrote a review here three years ago, and after living in Dublin for over six years, I’m back to say that Night Market is still comfortably the most authentic Thai food you will find in Ireland—and quite possibly in all of Europe.
As a Thai native, I’m very picky. Most places offer a 'one-chef-fits-all' menu, but Night Market is different. They actually bring in chefs from the six major regions of Thailand, ensuring that every dish stays true to its roots. You aren't getting a generic version of Thai food here; you’re getting the real deal.
The Khao Soi is a perfect example—it tastes exactly like what you’d find in a top-tier spot in Chiang Mai, and the portion is massive. Their Duck Red Curry is another masterpiece, rich and complex, honestly better than many high-end restaurants back in Thailand. My kids are obsessed with the Moo Ping (Grilled Pork Skewers) and sticky rice, which is always a sign of quality. And a pro-tip from a local: do not skip dessert. Their Brownie is incredibly rich and dense; it's hard to find anything like it elsewhere.
The staff are excellent, the menu is well-structured, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Don't even try to compare this to your standard local takeaway; this is proper Thai culinary art. If you want the most authentic Thai experience in D6, this is the only place that matters. Still 5 stars, no questions asked!

McHugh's Wine & Dine
Dublin
24/03/2026: Superb unassuming restaurant. Two of us visited on a busy but not crowded Tuesday evening. We had wings, croquettes, the venison, and a 10oz ribeye. The rib eye steak was cooked as good as I’ve had it anywhere. Total bill came to €116 with a couple of beers and dessert. Great food, fair pricing for the quality. I look forward to returning.
20/03/2026: We had a lovely meal in your restaurant this week. The staff were lovely and very welcoming.

La Gordita
Dublin
02/11/2025: Unpleasant experience last night at La Gordita for my birthday.
We arrived on time and were seated at the bar. The staff were chatting with the two couples next to us, explaining the menu and taking their drinks orders. By the time our waiter came over, their food was already arriving. No one explained the menu to us, and the waiter seemed a bit sniffy when we ordered a cheap bottle of wine.
The food itself was average. The crab salad was a highlight, but the garlic in the prawns was burnt and the Spanish omelette wasn’t a proper tortilla it was just a flat omelette topped with slices of potato and chorizo. Generally boring flavours and small portions. Staff checked in with the tables around us as they got their food - but not with us.
After finishing the tapas we’d ordered, we were still hungry. When the waiter asked if we’d had enough and we said no, he just handed us the dessert menu and said “great.” We ended up leaving after about an hour - no dessert - and felt like just getting our coats back was asking too much.
Not sure if it was because we looked young or like tourists, but the service felt frosty and unwelcoming. The host did check in once and the lady who took over the bill was nice, but overall the experience was disappointing.
Wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion. I’d be really annoyed if I’d booked it expecting a treat based on the Michelin guide. We spent €140 on five tapas dishes, were largely ignored and left hungry. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
01/11/2025: Top service and Spanish tapas. Staff were all awesome.

Walsh's
Dublin
24/04/2026: One of my go to spots when I stay in Smithfield. One of the best pints of Guinness around Although it seems like I was hitting IPA on my last visit
14/04/2026: The best and most authentic pub in all of Dublin!
Here you can get a pint for €1-2 less than in the city center, and there's often live music while you sit in a cozy corner.
We'll definitely be back!

Craft
Dublin
03/11/2025: We had the Chef’s Menu at Craft and it was absolutely outstanding – incredible value at €39 for the quality and amount of food. You get to taste everything, and honestly, we couldn’t pick a favourite starter because they were all so good. We had the pork chop main - so good and as always the roast potatoes were unreal! From the brown bread right through to dessert, every dish was delicious. We’re so lucky to have this place in Harold’s Cross – can’t recommend it enough! The service deserves a mention too - really lovely atmosphere. Well done to all at Craft. We will be back soon.
11/10/2025: Plates full of flavour. Thanks you for lovely evening

Ruchii
Dublin, 30-45£
10/05/2026: Had a fantastic dining experience at Ruchi Restaurant. We started with the lamb seekh kebab and lamb chops — both freshly made from scratch and absolutely class. You could really taste the quality and freshness in every bite.
The house special mocktails were super refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. For mains, we ordered the lamb boti, chicken biryani, and the non-veg thali — all full of flavour and very satisfying.
A special thanks to owner Satish for the complimentary dessert at the end. It was homemade, delicious, and a lovely touch to finish the meal. Great food, warm hospitality, and definitely a place we’ll be visiting again!
30/04/2026: This was one of the best experience so far in ireland. The food was amazing the quantity was good and delicious. Ambience is crazy and even they have a 90 capacity seating upstairs. Really liked their gajar halwa and raita. The mix veg and aalo sabzi was amazing. The service was also good. I told them i liked the raita and manager gave me one more raita without charging. Quantity was really good i had to get a take away box as portions were huge. They have thali in both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Will suggest to try their thali as it also has an amazing sweet dish.

Moreish Pizza
Dublin
22/12/2025: We are big fans of Garys in Dalkey - so happy to report the same delicious pizzas, super staff (as always Gary Balage Sonny ) and a fun night all round. Yummy GF pizza as well the same as Dalkey which is why we go there best GF pizza there is ! Ruth Dave and of course Joe
12/12/2025: This could be a lovely local spot however unfortunately its atmosphere seems to be ruined by the staff. Our first visit, we were treated rudely by the manager throughout the night which we tried to dismiss. More recently, not only were we berated again, she was also vocally treating her workers awfully in front of the whole restraunt. Both were disturbing experiences - do not recommend

30/10/2025: My dad bought me a coffee here the day I quit my job, I was a little flustered and forgot how to order a coffee. Lisa was like an apparition - so kind and open and lovely and grounding. What a dreamy place 💖
25/10/2025: Really kind staff, smooth coffee and delicious treats 😍
