Thomas Moore Inn
Dublin
25/07/2026: Wandered in and had an amazing afternoon! Our bartender Fiona was absolutely the best! She kept the drinks coming, was so kind and friendly, and even played some music requests for us to sing along to! Don’t miss stopping in when you are in Dublin.
23/07/2026: Had a lovely afternoon at the Thomas Moore pub. A perfect cozy atmosphere, friendly patrons, excellent drinks.
Fiona served us. She helped us feel right at home. Everything you wish for when you think of an Irish Pub. Highly recommended! I hope we get a chance to come back while we’re in town!

The Old Storehouse
Dublin
17/07/2026: My friend and I had a wonderful few hours in this historical museum and garden. We both have mobility issues but our problems were resolved by Muireann in reception who advised us how best to access the building by taxi. She was exceptional in her welcome and friendliness and it made our day.
She also had an extensive knowledge of the building/ Pierce family history etc. Well done Muireann.👏👏👏👏🙏
14/07/2026: Unbelievable. Never knew this place existed . Beautiful walks and a lovley café at the end of it all
Can't wait to go back and visit the museum.

The Artisan Pantry
Dublin
06/08/2026: It's closed for staff holidays 😕
21/07/2026: Artisan Pantry is a must visit in Lucan Village! The best coffee in the area, amazing pastres and sandwiches. Highly recommend the ham & cheese croissant, sausage roll's and cupcakes.
Cakes can also be made to order and are really top class - especially the red velvet. Last but not least always greeted with a smile and friendly service. Special Shoutout to Lauren & Patricia for always looking after us! :)

Dax
Dublin
31/07/2026: You must visit DAX at least once. Then you will return again. The whole experience is exceptional. From the time you walk through the door you are warmly welcomed by all the staff. Their attention to dertail throughout the meal is 5 star. The food is succulent, and creatively prepared and presented , always satisfying every palate.
24/07/2026: Elevated, yet charming at the same time.
For food, wine, and service this restaurant punches above its weight.
I can compliment several things about this restaurant. Service is friendly and warm as others mentioned. The gastronomy is solid and enjoyable. They did a great job of accommodating our lactose allergy by offering tasty solutions instead of just omissions.
The prix fixe menu offers three courses (starter, principal plate, and dessert) with solid choices for each course. The foie gras was well sourced, decadent and beautifully complemented with a cerise sauce to counter the fat. Also, we had the duck and the lamb for our main courses. You can't go wrong with either. Portions were filling and proportionately larger since there were only three courses.
Also, wine was reasonably priced (at least by American standards). After consultation, we had a jammy syrah blend (Château Milhau Lacugue Les Truffières) that held up well to the foie gras and both the lamb and duck.
Total price for dinner, bottle of wine, and 12.5% was 276.64 Euros. If we return to Dublin, this is worth another visit.

Le Chocolat de Frèd
Dublin
03/08/2026: Best Hot Chocolate! Great staff!
02/08/2026: Very nice mocha, and would definitely return for another. Minus 1 star for the muffins. We bought muffins, and given the quality of the coffee, and at 4 euro you'd expect fresh and tasty pastries/buns. The muffins were average so my message to the owner would be, improve your pastries, to match your coffee. Found it a bit tight in there also but not much can be done with the space i guess.

Casper & Giumbini's
Dublin
13/07/2026: We dined here last week for my father's birthday -we had booked the private room.
The food was great, but more importantly the service was amazing - Ronan and Chad looked after us really well, ensuring each and every guest was catered to.
Casper & Giumbini also have a €10 childrens menu which makes dining out as a family more attractive and affordable.
Highly recommended for every occasion.
10/07/2026: I have only ever visited at lunch time. I absolutely adore this restaurant. It ticks all the boxes…excellent ambience, excellent service, excellent food…every visit! I’ve tried the Chicken ceasar, Dover Sole, burger, different pastas, steak, side dishes (wild mushrooms 🤤)…everything delicious. I wish that I wasn’t always “the designated driver” because some of the cocktails and wines look very enticing! Definitely one of Dun Laoghaire’s MUST visit restaurants

Ely Wine Bar
Dublin
19/07/2026: Ely was such a pleasant surprise! We visited as a group of five, shared a few starters (the cheese breads, croquetas elotes), and each ordered a different main course. I had the moqueca, which was absolutely incredible, and the steak tartare.
I was genuinely impressed. Every dish was packed with flavor and felt thoughtful and unique. Unfortunately, it’s all too common in Dublin to pay a lot for food that’s bland and forgettable, but that was definitely not the case here. Every element on the plate had a purpose, the sauces complemented the dishes perfectly, and you could really tell that care and attention went into every bite.
The service was also excellent. A big thank you to Murilo for taking great care of us, and to the Croatian waiter, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!
17/06/2026: We booked ELY wine bar for our friends Hen party. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Never an empty wine glass, always filled. The food was delicious and there were many options available to suit everyone. Would highly recommend coming here for an event.

Walsh's
Dublin
13/07/2026: Beautiful and truly authentic location. A local sitting next to me explained this is one of Dublin’s historic pubs. Lots of locals, few tourists, the atmosphere is incredible, with people just genuinely wanting to spend time together chatting and playing cards. The bartender was exceptionally kind and attentive, with remarkable sensitivity. There were two of us in wheelchairs, and despite it being Friday night, he found us a comfortable table and served us with genuine care for our needs. Highly recommended!
We returned with great pleasure the next evening to watch a World Cup match, and the experience was equally spectacular.
08/07/2026: Watched a world cup game after work with a lovely pint of Guinness
