The best restaurants in Dublin

12/03/2026: Not a bad spot to stop for a bite and some music. With the downstairs bar full we sat upstairs for an early (6:30p) dinner and a few pints. The upstairs is interesting with a small stage, a bar along one wall and the other wall is the storage for their bottle club. Tables are comfortable and the food is pretty standard lower-end pub fair. The good news is the whisky is a bit less expensive than most places and the beer flows in and out of your pint well enough. Just a heads-up that there isn't table service, it is true pub service ordering at the bar.

06/03/2026: Before and after a soccer match in the Aviva both times the experience was very enjoyable.Proper old style bar staff even though the pub was bouncing and they were busy not afraid to make eve contact so you new you were next to be served.

28/02/2026: Ive visited twice now and each time has been a Friday evening after 8. -The atmosphere is great for conversation and not too crowded. -The staff were friendly and attentive. -The pints of Guiness were wonderfully creamy -AND THE BRISKET ROLL IS THE BEST SANDWICH IVE HAD IN DUBLIN Ive had a dream about that sandwich after each time I've eaten one. Proper crust from the rub, not overly smokey and the roll is a perfect match for holding up under the juices of the brisket without falling to bits and being too firm to bite or chew. It's a place that will be in the rotation of where I'll visit when I go into town. If that sandwich leaves the menu I'll never be able to return for the heartache that will come with its memory will be too painful to bear.

14/12/2025: We popped in to have takeaway bento boxes after the guiness storehouse and it took about 15 minutes the food was incredible!!!! Highly recommend and was good value for money big portions

12/04/2026: We spent five days in Dublin and it was surprising to realize how, even far from home, we managed to feel a little bit like we were in Brazil 🇧🇷. Looking for Brazilian options, we saw that there are several places in the city and decided to check out Pastel King — and it was a great choice! It's worth noting that it's not a restaurant, but a snack bar, ideal for a quick and tasty meal. The service was excellent, very attentive and welcoming, and the pastel was simply delicious, well-made and with that flavor that truly reminds you of Brazil. In addition, the place also functions as a small market, which is a very interesting differentiator. It's super well located, on the famous "market street," which makes it very easy to visit. I highly recommend the experience — it's definitely worth stopping by!

10/04/2026: Love the food here!! Quick service. Good vibes, feels authentic. The pastéis (basically a kind of crispy fried item with cheese & various toppings inside) - are delicious!! The plain cheese one is so good, we preferred it over the 4 cheese. The pizza pasteis was really good but you have to like oregano, it is with slices of tomato not tomato sauce just to note. The chicken pastéis was super good and soo much chicken. Highly recommend for some authentic Brazilian street food! I have noticed the price has gone up a bit lately. Like the 4 cheese pastéis is a bit steep for €8.49 in my opinion.

10/05/2026: Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere. The customer service was outstanding and Randall couldn’t do enough for me and my family. You can really tell he cares about the place and the people who visit it. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and perfect for winding down and enjoying a proper meal. One of those rare places where you feel welcomed the moment you walk in. Highly recommended — we will definitely be coming back again.

05/05/2026: I only had drinks but it seemed like the glassware hadn't been washed very well, it smelled terrible. The atmosphere was otherwise good though.

28/03/2026: randomly found this place while looking for a somewhat quiet place to have dinner (it was football day and half of the city watched the game) both my partner and I had Rabbit Bourguignon and it was delicious! the service was great and the waiter let us take a cheese plate for takeaway (we wanted to have a late night snack haha) lovely!

23/09/2025: Bovinity on Capel Street is a wonderful surprise as one of Dublin’s newer restaurants. The steaks are outstanding — perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. What really makes the experience special is the way the menu blends Latin American and American barbecue traditions. You can enjoy a top-quality steak alongside a rich and creamy mac & cheese, all elevated with a beautifully made chimichurri, just like you’d find in Uruguay or Argentina. The service was excellent — attentive, warm, and professional — and the staff really added to the overall experience. To top it all off, their Italian wine selection pairs perfectly with the dishes, making the meal feel complete and indulgent. Bovinity is definitely a place I’d recommend for steak lovers looking for something a little different in Dublin, with a creative mix of flavors and a great atmosphere.

08/05/2026: We had an absolutely phenomenal time here on our recent trip to Ireland! The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful and got us into our room hours early which was amazing after our long haul flight. The room was clean and quite spacious. The breakfast was to die for and a huge highlight of our stay. We wished we had tried the bar!! Will definitely stay here on future trips to Dublin

07/05/2026: Went back. Very very nice. Loved the bar and smoking area also. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. We've found our new place to stay when we come to Dublin!!!!!

04/05/2026: Have been here with friends and work colleagues and I have to say, the staff are really cool and helpful! The outdoor area is also a cool place to hang out and the staff kindly put the heaters on for us.

30/04/2026: I have been a regular customer in Black Bird for 15 years but recently was told by the "acting manager" Uisce (in front of other customers at the bar) that I will no longer be served in Black Bird. The reason given was I "made a staff member uncomfortable". I have never interacted with a member of staff unless it's to politely order a drink like everyone else who goes there. I have always been kind and courteous to the staff members of Blackbird. I am deeply disappointed that management have taken the word of a staff member and banned a 15 year regular customer. I tried to discuss the matter with Uisce, over WhatsApp and email but was essentially fobbed off and ignored. I would still like to speak with Upper management or the owner about this matter as its totally unfair and bizarre behaviour. They also banned my girlfriend who also did absolutely nothing wrong and has always been extremely polite to all staff. Very disappointing and shocking behaviour from staff and management. Extremely poor customer service.
