The best restaurants in Dublin

03/07/2025: Never had a bad meal or service here. Dog friendly outside too which is a major bonus!

19/06/2025: We stopped by last Saturday afternoon for lunch. We have been a couple of times before and the food is what makes us drive down from Finglas. Honestly the place is small and you might have to wait a bit to be seated but when the food comes it all makes sense. The prices are reasonable and the staff super friendly. Do your taste buds a huge favour and go get the Mexican eggs... wow... highly recommend

26/07/2025: EDIT: this review is over 8 years old, Pablo picante is terrible now, overcooked rice portion size is smaller and they don’t take cash. The staff who used to work there were in the main Mexican, now it’s a bunch of Europeans. Very friendly europeans but Europeans that can’t cook. This place is now on par with boojum another great place that has lowered the quality of their product. Better off looking for authentic Mexican establishments. Old review: Great place great food and friendly staff...only downside is they close at 6 pm :( (Pablos tortas that is)

24/06/2025: So happy I stopped in. I was hesitant because it was completely empty but the burrata prosciutto salad was amazing. As was my iced latte, although the plastic cup really killed the vibe. If I'm in the area again I'll be back just for that salad!

30/07/2025: My review of this gym as a tourist in Dublin. If you live near the gym, it might be worth going. However, it is desperately dirty and the climbing holds are so dirty they are black and rubbery. Furthermore, they should invest in renovations. I have been to various climbing gyms in Europe but the walls were in a shocking state, with holes and brittle spots everywhere. You are bombarded with a half-assigned consent form, with lots of personal information that you have to provide and lots of questions, only to then constantly see people there who don't follow the rules. The ventilation situation was also very strange, consisting of industrial fans that blow fine dust around. Plus the entry fee is very overpriced as you get ripped off with a €5 registration fee, never again! You get better value for money for that price here in Switzerland. Shame for a place that calls itself state of the art!

28/07/2025: Coming from the US, I had no idea what route setting in Ireland would look like. What I found out was that the climbs at Gravity Climbing Centre were very well thought through. The grading scale is a bit different, so I had to work out what was best for me, but every single route I climbed was a welcome challenge. The people in the gym, staff and patrons alike, were so helpful any time I needed something. Most importantly, the atmosphere of the Centre was incredible. You can tell that the regulars come back for a reason and each person I interacted with made me wish this was my home gym.

06/06/2025: food is like something you would make at home, over priced food cost me nearly 20 euro for a burger and chips daylight robbery, never again, McDonald's is nicer and is far cheaper!

24/07/2025: Average Irish coffee - coffee is from an instant coffee machine. They have nice outdoor seating options which is very cool.

20/07/2025: A great bar to eat and quench your thirst. There is ample seating up stairs if it’s too full at the bottom. The staff is friendly and very helpful with your orders. But don’t be confused with the other bar of the same name, which is a short 10 min walk away.

05/07/2025: I ordered spelt flour and was deeply touched by the whole experience. Every step of the process — from dispatch updates to the handwritten note with my name — felt personal and intentional. I know others likely receive that note too, but it still felt warm and real. It’s rare to feel like a human and not a transaction these days. Hopsack doesn’t just send good food — they send a thread back to the people behind it, back to soil, and back to care. Thank you for doing things this way. It means more than you know.

12/07/2025: Had a fabulous dining experience at Mehek Indian Restaurant — the food was rich in flavor and absolutely delightful. A special thanks to Gagan, whose warm welcome and thoughtful attention to my son’s preferences made it even more memorable. Highly recommended for both their cuisine and hospitality!

15/07/2025: I ordered a chicken burger and chips 8.50 for a pint of Coors was a joke when pub next door is 7.20 Food arrived and there was a bone in my chicken burger I brought it to the staffs attention only for the manager to laugh it off and say “it’s only a small bone” Been here a few times before but won’t be coming back anytime soon Bar staff are lovely and welcoming though

15/06/2025: Love this place! I live close so I love having coffee and a delicious acai bowl here from time to time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the vibe is also great. I always consider myself being lucky when a catch I free table as the place is packed all the time! There is a single issue I would like to adress my concern with is the fact that I noticed that right above the counter where the uncovered pastries are, there is an extractor fan on the ceiling wich has lots of dust around it, wich can fall on the pastries. This might sound silly, but maybe it would be good if it would be removed. Other than that, I will always be happy to return for your yummy food and coffee. Thank you and keep up the good work! :)

06/07/2025: Really poor quality chips, tasted like they had been sitting out for a while, asked for salt and vinegar, barely any added. Very poor quality for 4.35 euro.
