The best restaurants in Dublin

07/03/2026: Cold atmosphere, staff not very cheerful

16/02/2026: Be warned staff will overcharge you here. Came here on Saturday night for a friends' leaving night and the place is nice, staff are friendly. However I ordered two pints when I got there, which was €13.50, so €6.75 per pint. Later on in the night I got one pint and I was charged €8.50. I didn't check the card machine before tapping my phone, and didn't notice until the next day, otherwise I would have said it. Either this place is using some kind of variable pricing, or the barman added a tip without asking me, or just simply overcharged me, because in what world is a pint of beer €8.50, not sure Temple Bar would even be that expensive. I tried to find an email address for the bar to say this to them directly without posting it here but they don't seem to have one. The chicken goujons were ok but I only got three small ones, not great for the price. The DJ will also deafen you when he starts, and once he starts all chance of conversation with your friends goes out the window.

10/06/2026: We went expecting a nice meal. We sat down and the place was empty, we said to tge waiter we were ready to order to which he said nothing and just walked away. We ordered the steak which basically was barely visible as it was so small the plate had more salad than steak, when the waiter was asked why it was small we were told it isn't ordered enough to provide larger portions. Once we had eaten what we could on the meal we took a walk around the boat whilst finishing our drinks though the staff watch you like you are doing something wrong. The staff were just rude and not very helpful at all. The music was so loud and they refused to turn it down even slightly. Seemed very chaotic overall. 0 stars would be great for this place.

05/06/2026: We went for dinner expecting a fabulous evening. Very!!!! disappointed with the food. Poor selection. Limited! Crab cakes under cooked. NO FISH OF THE DAY Nothing to do with Ireland. Don’t bother.

31/05/2026: I was there Saturday 30th of May. Very nice pub, great atmosphere. Pricy though, €9.50 for gin and tonic and €8 .50 per pint. A killer. I don't know if I will ever go back.

28/05/2026: A great pub with a pleasant atmosphere. Good beer selection, and the food was also a pleasant surprise. The music and atmosphere are unpretentious, perfect for relaxing with friends. The staff is friendly, and I'm left with nothing but good impressions.

25/05/2026: Pearl Liang – Deceptive, greasy, and a complete rip-off I ordered the baby squid with spicy roasted pepper for £10.50. What I got was nothing like the menu described. First: "roasted" turned out to be deep-fried. Greasy. Heavy. Not roasted at all. Second: the dish was supposed to come with eggs in the rice. No eggs. Just oily rice. Nothing else. Third: they kept asking me if I wanted rice. Multiple times. Like it was a favour. But rice was not included in the price. So they were basically trying to upsell me on something that should have been part of the dish. Fourth: I didn't order any drinks. They asked me several times anyway. For a bill that would have been £17 or £21 – not the £10.50 I expected. And then: 12.5% service charge. Yes, it's written on a card somewhere. But that doesn't make it right. It's sneaky. It's automatic. And for this quality? A joke. So what did I actually get? · Deep-fried squid (not roasted) · Oily rice without eggs · Endless pressure to order more · A service charge for nothing What I did not get: · What was promised on the menu · A fair price · Any respect as a customer This is not a restaurant. 21/05/2026: One of the better quality Chinese restaurants in London. Dim Sum is very decent as is most of the menu. Service can be slow during busy times however they are friendly and efficient.

14/08/2025: One of the better places to sit down and eat breakfast in Tallaght. I tried the traditional Irish breakfast: everything was freshly prepared and very juicy, not like a buffet where you get dry or reheated food. The coffee was strong and freshly ground, and there were many other options on the menu that I would have liked to try. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

09/08/2025: This is a lovely quaint cafe. The food and coffee is lovely, the staff are very friendly and the prices are very fair. Definitely recommend this place
