The best restaurants in Dublin

11/03/2026: A friend and I went for a beer and some food. Classic fish and chips, done right. Very friendly service. The leather sofas, furniture, and bar create a really nice atmosphere. It was quite crowded for midweek.

27/10/2025: I happened into this place at the corner, thirsty for a pint and hungry for a meal. It was perfect. All I knew of Irish beer was Guinness - I wanted to try something different. The bartender was super friendly, I wish I knew her name, she helped me pick a local lager by lining up a taste of three for me and I picked the Ambush. She was great. The fish and chips were the best. Comfortable inside not too crowded not too empty friendly good music but not overpowering and it was ideal. So I came back two days later and had exactly the same, the bartender remembered me welcoming back, I sat at a table and read my book, had my meal, drank my beer - a cold rainy but perfect night in Dublin.

25/10/2025: We ordered for the first time and it most definitely won't be the last ! The food was absolutely sensational, and the tiramisu—banging. This particular night it was quite busy and we did have quite a bit of a wait for the food but yet it was lovely and hot when it arrived. This really impressed us as we've ordered from other places and food arrived stone cold, so the fact we had a long wait and they still managed to have our food fresh and hot shows these guys know what they're doing and they care. Honestly top class folks,thanks! Currently munching on the next order as I write this review 😂

08/03/2026: Held an engagement party there on a Saturday night, staff were amazing cocktails were delicious and the food was also nice. I would highly recommend we stayed from 6pm till 1am DJ was also great.

08/02/2026: I was there on 7th Feb 2026 about 9pm....the music was so loud it became impossible to talk to each other....everyone was practically screaming at each other to try and understand what people were saying...our ears are still ringing with noise damage from the music...totally ridiculous...

11/01/2026: Was there last night with my husband, we went to hear a really good group of musicians play. Enjoyed it but we encountered three of the most grumpiest barmen ever, no smiles, no chit-chat, nothing, sour faces instead, I can understand one but seriously three of them!! Place was quiet and we were sitting at the bar, but not once did they ask us did we want a refill, we could have sat there all night with empty glasses and they wouldn't have noticed or cared. It was 9.50 for the smallest glass of wine ever. For those reasons we won't be back, we left after a while and went down to the Harold House, much nicer, good music, friendly barmen and cheaper drink!!

14/11/2025: This is a place we always go to. The service is quick and friendly, the food and prices are standard, and the pub is spacious enough for all kinds of events. We live nearby and love coming here.
