21/07/2026: We’ve been looking for a place to work and despite it being full, they did find a place for us right away! The service was great and Julien was the best host we could’ve wished for! Definitely try the brownie, it was delicious!

09/07/2026: I've always loved the cake cafe but today I had quite an uncomfortable experience there, one of the servers was quite rude since we walked in, he walked up to our table and quite agressively confronted us about going up to the till to order our food as our table was blocked by wide pole and we were taken aback by it, very disappointing, would think twice before coming back.

05/06/2026: One of the best Japanese/Chinese restaurants I've visited in a long time. The food was absolutely outstanding — fresh, full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. Every dish we ordered was excellent, making it difficult to pick a favourite. What really elevated the experience was the hospitality. The owner, Eric, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel genuinely valued as customers. His warmth and passion for the restaurant really shine through. Great food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. If you're looking for a place you'll want to return to, this is it. Highly recommended.

21/06/2026: Nestled in a corner and dwarfed by the Megabikes motorcycle shop next door, you could easily walk past this place without noticing it. But that would be a real shame. Because Cafe Sofia is one of the best places to enjoy that great Irish culinary tradition. I am of course talking about"the fry" or "the full Irish breakfast". The menu has many permuations of the fry. And if you don't like those , they will change them to suit you. Service is fast, and above all friendly. And if you are not in the mood for a fry, there are other options on the menu. For example they do a very nice club sandwich. Not to be missed.

28/07/2026: We have been many times for a coffee and snack before walking around the garden but today we went for lunch as it was my partners birthday and I had the brisket dinner and it was superb I haven't had a better dinner in years so tender the beef melted in my mouth, my heart felt compliments to the chef.

06/06/2026: From the moment I arrived at The Sandymount Hotel, I felt a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The beautiful historic building and its meticulously maintained surroundings offer wonderful warmth and comfort. ​I highly appreciate the hotel's commitment to accessibility. Although there are high stairs at the main entrance, a modern 🛗 elevator is available for ♿️ wheelchair users and guests with limited mobility. Navigation throughout the interior spaces is fully adapted and seamless. Also, while the hotel is not generally pet-friendly, registered service and guide pets are fully welcome. ​The hospitality is outstanding; the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful at every turn. The dining experience was another highlight, the food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet offered a superb selection of high-quality dishes. ​Additionally, free secure private 🅿️ parking directly on-site (including reserved spaces for wheelchair users) and complimentary 🛜 Wi-Fi made the stay effortless. The location is ideal—peaceful, quiet, and perfectly accessible. ​My room was impeccably clean and cosy, though a bit too dark for my preference. The only minor drawback was the bathroom sink, which made loud plumbing noises when adjacent rooms used water. Despite this, I am leaving with lovely memories and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin. 06/06/2026: Appreciate them keeping the price down on food, excellent deals and the starters are great, but the sauces for the curries are muck, I got the butter chicken and it tastes like a sweet cake recipe with chicken and I tried the madras which was just gloopy oil that didn’t come close to resembling a madras flavour, no spice or depth of flavour just thick paste-like oiliness. Stomach is bubbling like a nun meeting the pope

13/06/2026: A beautiful hotel, with amazing rooms, and in a great location. There are restaurants and stores, as well as the dart rail within walking distance; and the rooms are spacious and immaculate inside. Customer service was amazing, and the included breakfast buffet was surprisingly good!

26/06/2026: Do not visit for lunch!! Had an incredibly poor experience here today. Booked a table for 2 in advance. On showing up, the place was chaotic - and a lot of tables looked like they were still waiting for food. Experience with the front of house waitor was awkward, with him so flustered it was verging on rude. We immediately ordered and then proceeded to wait. 35 mins later I asked where the food was (as we, like the majority of the restaurant had to get back to work). Our food hadn't been placed in the oven yet. We immediately cancelled our order. The excuse - we have a large booking outside. When I asked why we weren't told on arrival of a possible delay, there was no answer. I won't be visiting again and will be spreading the word locally.

25/06/2026: The food was excellent (pizza, pasta, dough balls, and chocolate cake) my family liked the food enough that we went twice during our brief stay in Dublin. The service was terrible especially the second night we visited, the man that waited on us had really strong cologne (I actually could taste it) I ordered a strawberry mimosa and he kept trying to just give me a glass of champagne as they did not have the ingredients "up front." They never did successfully get me that drink. Our waiter was rude, we ordered pizza two different nights and it was completely different (even though we ordered it the same way both times). We would recommend for the food, but consider carryout rather than dining in.

28/04/2026: Lovely staff. Average food. The quality of the steak matches the one from the supermarket. The only thing that makes it a bit more special is that you get it done on the stone. Some roasted veggies could be added as it only comes with mash/chips/baked potato (literally one).
