10/05/2026: Waiting 25 minutes on table order. Not one Irish person working there. Went up to ask about the order. Answer was 'I don't know'. In the meantime person passed down to the table with the order. Communication is so bad. Get people who can communicate effectively in English.

19/05/2026: A Drogheda institution, my dad ate here as a child in the 1930s - liver and chips, and it's still on the menu, which thankfully doesn't seem to have changed in years. Apparently changed hands recently to some Albanian foljks but it's as good as it ever was. Decent food and good service continue

12/05/2026: My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. As soon as we arrived, the young staff member greeted us in a very rude manner and showed no willingness to help. We ordered food, but it arrived very cold and of very poor quality, with no taste or flavor at all. In addition to that, the presentation was messy and unorganized. Honestly, the price we paid was unbelievable for such a terrible experience. I would rate it 1 out of 10, and I would not recommend anyone to go to this place, as you will regret it.

02/06/2026: Cod and chips and calamari and chips, €14.50 each. Frozen chips, fish and calamari only grand. Do not reccomended, very dissatisfied, overpriced completely for what it was.

14/04/2026: Fish was beautiful, massive portion with great crispy batter. Best I've had in Cobh. Curry is unique, been the same for years, and fairly nice :) Only complaint is it is quite expensive, 23.50 for fish and chips with two dips delivered Delivery 30 mins

07/06/2026: The worst KFC in my life. Several times they didn’t put all ordered items in, like today for example they missed to put a corn cob in for some reason and put absolutely wrong type of fries to what I ordered and paid for. Highly recommend to avoid the place.

05/05/2026: We got 2 burger, some fries and chicken wings for takeaway. They were really nice and the portions were a pretty good size. Food tasted fresh and delicious.

24/04/2026: Visited the Douglas branch with a group of friends on the way back from a hike. We frequent the Blackpool branch, but thought we'd give the Douglas one a go this time. The service was extremely slow from start to finish. We initially ordered bone-in chicken but were told it would take 45 minutes, then switched to boneless breasts, which still took over 30 minutes. The chicken itself was well seasoned, but incredibly dry and overcooked. We also paid for extra dips which were forgotten, despite reminding the staff twice about the missing order item. All the self-service sauce bottles (around 20 of them) were empty and we were told that they won't able to refill them. The staff was inexperienced and inattentive, chatting amongst themselves most of the time. To make matters even worse, we were visiting the restaurant at 5pm (nowhere near peak-time) and there were just 2 other tables occupied. The staff even lacked basic courtesies like a thank you, or a goodbye, when we were leaving. The food itself was acceptable/mediocre, but the poor service overshadowed the experience.

24/04/2026: I am a regular customer of Roosters Piri Piri and am always happy with the service and food. I’m not a fast food fan but this place excels with good food fast! From their salads to their pittas, everything is tasty and fresh. Highly recommend their Rice Bowl and their half chicken (if you’re hungry). Top tip: if you’re getting the fries for takeaway - open the box they come in immediately to let out the steam and preserve the crispiness! Otherwise they go slightly soggy. The staff are efficient, helpful and professional. The atmosphere is a step up from your typical fast food joint but far more relaxed than a dining restaurant level. I have eaten here solo and with groups of friends and it’s always pleasant.

10/05/2026: An unusual fast food combination right in the middle of Temple Bar 😄 Having Supermac’s and Papa John’s together in one location feels peak Ireland somehow, local fast food culture mixed with an international chain under one roof. The spot is perfect if you want something quick after exploring the area or after a long evening around the pubs nearby. Busy location, lots of people coming and going, but exactly the kind of place that fits the energetic Temple Bar atmosphere. Also interesting to see Supermac’s, which is basically an Irish fast food institution many tourists don’t know before visiting Ireland.

27/04/2026: Don't waste your time, 9pm and no batter or breading for fish , sausage or scampi Takes 5 minutes to make batter if you were bothered Terrible service Since editing the review is my only option to reply to the "Owners" lies There's only 1 AJs in Ballyshannon I know exactly where we were There were 2 women working, we went in grabbed a menu and were told we'd be waiting 30 minutes for food which is perfectly fine When we went to make the order, battered fish, battered sausage, scampi and chips We were told by one of the women that she had no batter or breadcrumbs left and was not making any at that time of night 9pm I don't appreciate lies, laziness or bad service You sir/madam are a lier Don't waste your time with this place when the owner clearly cannot admit to what actually took place and chooses to come on here and attempt to gas light people You could have apologised or even ignored the comment but you chose to lie and gaslight To reiterate ,we were in AJs of Ballyshannon Donegal last night at 9pm and our experience there is 100% what happened

06/04/2026: Gave us the complete wrong order and then refused to deliver the correct items. We had to make a second half an hour journey back to collect, at which point we were disgusted to find that they were planning on giving us the items that had now been sitting out for over an hour. They refused to cook new ones. We are new to the area and this was our first experience of selecting a takeaway in the local area. We shall not be returning and will have to look elsewhere

14/05/2026: I'm a self confessed food snob, but every now and then, all you want is a bacon double cheeseburger and Soermacs rarely disappoints.

20/04/2026: The young lady who served me was friendly & efficient. The burger I ordered was so over cooked it was how I imagine chewing leather might be. The garlic cheese fries were cold & swimming in a white sauce totally void of any garlic flavour and there was just a sprinkle of cheese, so disappointing 😞

29/04/2026: Used to be great, has really gone down hill. Potentially new owners? Went from something special to a generic takeaway.

02/05/2026: The most dirty fast food Resteraunt ive ever seen , bins overflowing toilets look like a seen out of Train spotting the film , floors tables all filthy ,I would keep away matter of time before someone get ill with the state of the place ,I can only imagine what the food prep area is like considering had bad the public side is ,AVOID

08/04/2026: We’ve ordered from here regularly and always enjoyed it, but the last two orders have been really disappointing. This time we got a chicken kebab tray for €10.90 and it was very poor value – barely any chips, maybe half a chicken portion (if even), and just a small bit of sauce. It’s frustrating because we’ve been good customers, but the drop in quality and portion size is very noticeable. Unfortunately, we probably won’t be ordering again unless things improve.
