19/10/2025: Barman at door nearly pounced on my partner for having an m&s bag with her. More committed to one side of the bar than the other I'd say 🍻. Turned around and left.

16/10/2025: Lovely traditional spot in Cork City! The chowder is one of the best I have ever had. A bit chunky but lovely! Unfortunately those from anti-immigrant/ gay, etc... groups seem to be targeting the bar negatively!

10/09/2025: First Irish breakfast in Ireland! I got the godfather and it was perfectly portioned, comes with tea, and I just love how thick the hash browns are here. This restaurant is bustling with locals and very busy. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, but outdoor is much more limited.

20/10/2025: The best restaurant in Cork in our opinion. We go there every time we're in Cork. It's the kind of restaurant that you go to knowing what you want to order but then you see the specials it makes the decision so hard. Particularly love the scallop salad. It's amazingly good. The thick cut chips are like little roast potatoes. The lamb curry, burger, crab salad and the monkfish goujons are also a favourite. Always good atmosphere too.

16/10/2025: Excellent food and service. The cuisine is quite mixed, with no specific theme, but they play very well with flavors, offering excellent dishes with excellent service.

03/11/2025: We weren't able to sit in or have food as it was very full. The place looked lovely though, staff were lovely and the coffee was excellent! Definitely book in advance if you're looking to eat in.

20/10/2025: Staying over night in a nearby hotel and popped in for dinner. Mary our server was tremendous, she made us feel welcome which made the experience that much better. The food was also very good. Would definitely recommend!

08/11/2025: It’s the little things that count and In many of these Fota are failing. One of our party ordered a coffee and asked for a biscuit to accompany it but was told you can’t have a biscuit until after 4- how stupid is that! At dinner steaks were only offered ho share for 2 people- crazy! In general the food was fine but not fantastic and certainly not great value for money. If you charge top prices you need to deliver top class food! Three times during our one night stay the room key failed to open the door which required another trip to reception for a new key. For a 5 star hotel this is simply not acceptable Fota resort needs to up its game and certainly improve its F/ B offering so I’m afraid it’s only 3 stars from me

14/09/2025: Great food, lovely staff, gorgeous drinks. Reccomend the beef cheek and the nine lives cocktail. We sat outside under a heater with our dog who was also treated like a guest!

23/10/2025: Bit of a con, set menu was all we were offered at €49, we had two older people who didn't want three courses, very expensive for what we got, would have been better with pub grub! Impossible to get parking too!
