12/01/2025: This was the most beautiful hotel i have ever stayed at. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. Staff went above and beyond.

11/01/2025: I love this hotel...the experience is second to none. The staff are exceptionally welcoming .Nothing is too much bother but they also take time to have an extra word with you The room was delightful and we dined in 2 lovely restaurants with totally different experiences. Both equally enjoyable.

10/01/2025: Cold bacon. Barely warm breakfast. Breakfast was served very quickly but the problem with this is that everything is pre-cooked and then simply not kept warm. The restaurant wasn’t very busy and breakfast could have been cooked to order and I’m sure it would’ve been delicious.

19/01/2025: Service was excellent, our waiters Nick and another young waiter were very kind and attentive. The atmosphere was vibrant and busy, perfect for a Saturday night. The mussels with white wine sauce were some of the best I’ve had in a long time, and the brownie and ice cream dessert was great. My only critique was that my monkfish main was nice but a bit bland, definitely needed a more flavourful sauce as the sauce served with it was a bit plain and didn’t compliment the dish

07/01/2025: Was a great restaurant, but has lost ground recently. The dropping of the vegetarian/vegan menu is unfortunate ( there was a vegetarian option on the menu while we we were there but it was uninspired to put it kindly, ). There is also a drop in the quality of the food and service while it is no longer good value for the price.

07/01/2025: 2025: Consistently superb true Cork restaurant with plenty of parking - a gem. This restaurant should be a must-see for all Cork visitors due to its beautiful surroundings, convenient access, superb food, exemplary staff, and varied menu with vegan, celiac, vegetarian, and carnivore selections. Dogs welcome at outside tables. Children treated well with activities provided and menu options. Perfect for meetings as well as parties or romantic dinners for 2. 2024: I hosted a ten person Women’s Little Christmas party at the Cafe. It. Was a delightful place to have it. Superb food, beautifully decorated, and the waitstaff could not have been more courteous or patient. We all changed places between dinner and dessert and waitstaff was very cooperative. Everything on the menu was a success for this diverse group including vegetarians.

29/12/2024: 5 star for the waiting staff, who were brilliant at accommodating, host didn't initiate contact, made us feel invisible, also the lady who made our hot chocolate just left the coffee at the bar top, didn't bother acknowledging us, wasn't nice of an experience even if I was taking a to go hot chocolate.

13/01/2025: Birthday night out. The restaurant and ambience are lovely but the food and service are lacking. After taking our orders for food and wine, we didn't see iir server again, it was as if the staff all left at 9.30 pr else they avoided our table because there was an hour gap between our starters and main course. The food was good but not up to it's price point by a long distance..it's nice pub food not fine dining as it is priced. Our waitress calculated and scoffed at our tip beside us, but the service and food were a huge disappointment on what was a special occasion, so we gave what we felt was a fair tip for that. I wouldn't recommend

20/01/2025: Myself an d my wife ate in SpitJack Saturday night. 5pm sitting, great service and excellent food for the two course option. The decor is really nice and when a lot of places are. closing it was great to see full tables. The menu was varied and we had an excellent meal. We will be back!

18/01/2025: Small downstairs but more seating upstairs. Nice feature of courtyard style views on the upper floor. Friendly staff. Good variety of food. However we're not allowed to choose a child version for one with dietary needs. Whiskey platter was a novel option.

16/12/2024: We just held our staff Christmas party in the Cornstore. Despite the fact that they were operating at full capacity with an overwhelming volume of diners, the experience was exceptional. Throughout the evening the staff remained attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in ensuring all of our team had a great experience. Their level of care was evident in every interaction, from taking orders to checking in to make sure everything was perfect. To deliver this kind of excellence with a full house and during such a busy time is a testament to their professionalism. The food was excellent, both in quality and presentation. Considering the sheer number of people being served, it was nothing short of impressive how the kitchen maintained such a high standard. Each dish came out fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. A genuine Thank you to the staff at the Cornstore from everybody at Noel Deasy Cars, you really made the night special for everybody.

04/01/2025: Don’t follow the reviews. The cook doesn’t know what they are doing. The sea bass with risotto. The risotto was nit even cooked, some bite was raw rice and some a mush. Too much salt on the risotto and no seasoning at all on the fish. Am I supposed to mush them into a ball to eat? The oyster were probably fresh, but not separated from the shell, the sea water is still on the oysters which drips while you try to separate the meat from the shell. No separate knife or fork is provided. Its a mess Crispy pork belly. 2 big pieces of thick pork belly is presented, with no steak knife. The butter knife given doesn’t cut it. This is a okay dish taste to wise. Atmosphere. Cold wind blows in whenever the door is opened which happens like every 5 minutes. I was sat right in-front of the door. Would rather eat convenient store food.
