04/02/2025: My partner and I had heard rave reviews about The Glass Curtain, so we decided to save up and treat ourselves to the tasting menu. While the flavors were undeniably sublime, the portions were, as expected with a tasting menu, quite small. We decided to supplement our meal with the cheese board, but at €26, the "selection" was a tiny sliver of what seemed to be a rather bland cheese. During our meal, an unfortunate incident occurred. We were mistakenly served a dish meant for the table next to us, who had ordered from the main menu. When I alerted a waitress, she acknowledged the error and returned the dish to the kitchen. We then overheard what sounded like the front-of-house staff reprimanding the young waiter who had made the mistake. Ironically, due to this mix-up, the couple at the adjacent table (who were completely unaware of the error) were offered a complimentary glass of wine. In hindsight, perhaps we should have simply kept quiet and enjoyed the extra dish! Overall, the experience was very expensive, costing us €245, and we left feeling unsatisfied.

04/02/2025: THE best restaurant in Cork. I have been here twice and had the tasting menu with wine pairing both times. It’s a wonderful experience. Each dish offers complex but accessible flavours and pairings. Staff are exceptional. A real treat to dine here.

03/02/2025: Hungry coming to the city so the Tonys Bistro was a first thought…. Got seated immediately, placed order and got it quickly lovely tasty and warm food . All I was missing was my fav Heinz ketchup, unfortunately not in this place….. 5 min after when I had my beautiful grilled rasher on fork a fresh bottle of Heinz ketchup landed on our table ,,,,, in fairness the owner went to shop to get me ketchup I like …. Fantastic service Will always return for more great food … Thank you John …

16/02/2025: Recently went to market lane for dinner again having been there several times before. Every time I’ve been it’s been top class - food and the service has been excellent and every visit has been great. Brilliant restaurant

15/02/2025: We walked in on Valentines Day without a reservation. They kindly accommodated us despite being fully booked, and we sat at the bar. We were served by Max - he was attentive, made excellent recommendations, and really made the evening. The aubergine parmigiana was excellent, and the bread & butter pudding, exceptional (possibly the best I’ve ever had). The Irish coffees at the end were amazing. Don’t miss this place when in Cork!

07/01/2025: 2025: Consistently superb true Cork restaurant with plenty of parking - a gem. This restaurant should be a must-see for all Cork visitors due to its beautiful surroundings, convenient access, superb food, exemplary staff, and varied menu with vegan, celiac, vegetarian, and carnivore selections. Dogs welcome at outside tables. Children treated well with activities provided and menu options. Perfect for meetings as well as parties or romantic dinners for 2. 2024: I hosted a ten person Women’s Little Christmas party at the Cafe. It. Was a delightful place to have it. Superb food, beautifully decorated, and the waitstaff could not have been more courteous or patient. We all changed places between dinner and dessert and waitstaff was very cooperative. Everything on the menu was a success for this diverse group including vegetarians.

El servicio es amable y divertido. Propietarios muy involucrados en el día a día, y todos los miembros del equipo parecen trabajar juntos maravillosamente para proporcionar una experiencia fina, divertida, amable y elegante cada vez. Nuestra última visita fue. Pequeña celebración navideña femenina con un magnífico menú a un precio muy razonable teniendo en cuenta el valor de los artículos presentados. Elegí los langostinos Au Gratin, el plato vegetariano de garbanzos y el Chocolate Delice. ¡Una combinación encantadora!

17/02/2025: I discovered Jacob's on the Mall based on a friend's recommendation and held my wedding reception dinner there in 2022, just with my family. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making everything perfect for our small gathering. Since then, I have visited the restaurant on several occasions, and I can confidently say that the food, service, and atmosphere are all a perfect 10/10. For me, it is one of the best restaurants in Ireland.

16/02/2025: We visited recently and had a mediocre evening. The staff were welcoming and efficient but the food was disappointing. Our first choice of Featherblade priced at a hefty €30 was sold out and the fillet steak at €43 was too extravagant. I had the chicken dumpling starter ( there pieces at €12.95) which were stodgy and over deep fried. We struggled to find a main course that didn’t contain pork. I opted for the fish and chips which arrived with a batter that was too thick resulting in a hard deep fried shell and a dried out center. The pea puree was hardened and cold , the little basket of chips was insufficient. My wife had the chicken with had an undercooked sausage center which she discarded . The lighting in the restaurant was too bright and the tables were too close together. We expected a lot more but left disappointed having spent €180 including a tip. We can cook much better at home ourselves. We won’t be back

01/02/2025: For my father-in-law’s milestone celebration, he decided to visit his hometown in Ireland, and our first dinner happened to be at Isaac’s restaurant right in the heart of Cork. The ambiance is cozy with a touch of sophistication, yet it is casual. We were seated right away, and we started with several appetizers to share, such as seafood chowder with garlic croutons and crispy fried Brie with chili jam and mixed leaves, together with a nice bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. For the main entrée, my eyes caught the attention of mild Madras lamb curry served with basmati rice, poppadoms, and side dishes. I found it flavorful, and the lamb was tender and went well with the basmati rice and the red wine. We had a great time here. The service was efficient, the staff are friendly, helpful, and patient, even if we stayed past the closing time. If you happen to be in Cork, this place is a must-visit.

11/01/2025: We had an amazing dining experience at Isaac’s, largely due to the exceptional service provided by Luke. From the moment we arrived, Luke made us feel incredibly welcome and attended to our every need with genuine care and attention. The level of service was truly outstanding and set Isaac’s apart from other places we’ve visited. We highly recommend this restaurant, and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Luke, you're in for a treat!

03/02/2025: This cork pub is known for its famous door stop sandwiches 🥪. Food is served until .4. 30 and all sorced in the local English market

17/02/2025: Nice vibe. Bar says it is open till 11.30pm. tried to order drinks at 10.40pm and barman said they are finished serving. Please advertise correct times rather then having to pay for a taxi to cash and it not even open till the time it advertises.

13/01/2025: Birthday night out. The restaurant and ambience are lovely but the food and service are lacking. After taking our orders for food and wine, we didn't see iir server again, it was as if the staff all left at 9.30 pr else they avoided our table because there was an hour gap between our starters and main course. The food was good but not up to it's price point by a long distance..it's nice pub food not fine dining as it is priced. Our waitress calculated and scoffed at our tip beside us, but the service and food were a huge disappointment on what was a special occasion, so we gave what we felt was a fair tip for that. I wouldn't recommend
