18/11/2025: Had an amazing group dinner 🍽️. Will be back. The Hereford burger is great.

14/11/2025: Excellent service, and the staff were very kind and attentive. I appreciated the vegetarian options, and my burger was. The beer was excellent, and the place was very quaint.

04/11/2025: Great little pub. Dropped in for an afternoon guinness and a bite to eat. Never been to Limerick before and spotted it from the end of the street as it looked like a pub we would frequent. The staff were really friendly and helping with tips from the menu. We decided on the loaded fries and chicken wings...they were seriously the best wings we have had on our month long tour. Started off with a couple of Guinness which were well poured and cold! Tried a Murphy's but wasn't sold so had another few Guinness 🙂 Would definitely recommend visiting the Glen Tavern when in Limerick.

26/09/2025: My friends & I have been talking about going to Freddys for years - Time just got away from us & we finally had the chance to go last night and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was fabulous, the staff were warm and welcoming and the food was exceptional. As a vegetarian, I struggle to get anything that isn't a standard curry or thrown together stir fry, but the options at Freddys were amazing and the nut roast was by far the best veggie food I've ever eaten in Ireland. My friends, all non veggies, said their food was divine too. Would absolutely recommend to anybody and everybody.

05/11/2025: I stopped in last night and ordered the sirloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus, the server was kind enough to allow half fries and half mashed as she could tell that I was torn by the decision. The steak came out perfectly cooked with a wonderful crust. The peppercorn sauce was creamy and flavorful, enjoyed with the steak and the fries. Asparagus were well cooked.

05/10/2025: We come here regularly and the food and service is always 10 out of 10. The food selection and price is always excellent and the staff are so lovely. It really is a local gem. Great for parties, family functions and everyday lunch. 100% recommend.

29/07/2025: Sleep like a baby on clouds... when the clouds are made of quicksand The hotel itself makes a decent impression – a friendly welcome, a really good and plentiful breakfast, coffee strong enough to wake the dead (in a good way). But then came the room... and most importantly: the bed. The duvet was less of a blanket than an exercise machine. Anyone who pulls it over themselves at night should be prepared to lose at least 3 liters of sweat the next morning – not because of bad air, but because this blanket is so heavy you could open a sauna underneath it. I briefly considered donating it to the Alps as a mobile avalanche. The mattress? Well... it reminded me of quicksand. You sink at least 40 cm – no matter where you sit down. I lost my wife during the night and only found her again under the fold of the bed when I checked out. If you like adventurous travel, just climb into bed and see what happens. But to be fair: The breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly, and everything clean. However, if you value a restful sleep, you might want to do some strength training beforehand—or bring a rope to anchor yourself in bed.

07/11/2025: Wonderful meal at 1826 Adare. Appreciated the personal touch of Wade coming to our table giving info on our choice of wine.

27/10/2025: Servers were too much. Kept coming over asking how it was but waited for answers even when mouths were full. When we were done with dishes but some remained on the plate it was almost as if they were waiting for an explanation of why the plate wasn’t empty.

30/11/2025: Really stuck for something nice to eat always went here if we where in the city not anymore soup and toasted sandwich 25 euro ok a bit pricey toastie was burned on one side and not melted on the other and the soup was salted out really poor food
