01/10/2026: Saw King of Thrash and Benediction here and had an absolute blast both times. Brilliant little venue for metal gigs — you can get ridiculously close to the bands and the atmosphere is always great. The food is surprisingly good too. Great gigs, great food, great spot. 🤘

28/05/2026: Revisited the Woodlands with the IMET retreat. It has become an annual event and I love it. I look forward to the hotel, the bedroom, the food, the grounds, the spa ... It's just magic. Every staff member is so friendly and kind and helpful. Another wonderful experience. Thank you all 🤗

25/08/2026: Very kind and professional reception desk. Rooms spacious and well appointed to include US and Continental style electric outlets. Restaurant under construction but dining still available and food was excellent. We would enjoy staying here again.

29/07/2026: We had a good stay, except for the absolute nightmare of a server at breakfast who was very rude to our group. We had a large group and they were absolutely not prepared to handle a large order. She yelled, spoke very rudely, and made unnecessary comments about how we should not be ordering from the main menu, which no one told us about before we were seated. The food for very good and rooms were comfortable, but the breakfast from hell left us with a bit of a bad taste in the end. I hope they are more upfront next time about expectations and management of larger groups.

03/10/2026: I dined here with my Mum and we were both very disappointed. My Mum had the Tomato and Basil soup which was like watered down bolognaise sauce and the single slice of soda bread was extremely salty and way too much Bread soda. Not edible and we wait it to the waiter. I had the Bruschetta which was ok. Nothing to write home about. We ordered 2 cheesecakes which were tiny served with cream that was fake. The pot of tea for two arrived with a large pot of water, two tiny cups and the teabags separately. Nowhere to put your used teabags but apart from that we could have done with a mug if you are going to serve the tea that way. I looked around at the other diners and everyone left half of their meals. The bathroom was filthy and had not been cleaned for a long time. Even the windowsills were filthy. I would not recommend the “Award Winning Restaurant “ !!

03/10/2026: This is my favourite place in Adare never fails to dissapoint ,good quality food,try the goats cheese salad followed by the scallops amazing , friendly staff too.

15/10/2026: My grandmother’s favourite place to eat. Very nice building, loads of character. I love the decor. The old style sweets are really cool. Good food, definitely worth a visit.

06/09/2026: Very nice old irish pub with very good food. I didn't know my mum cooked me irish stew all the time untill I tasted it here. My first irish stew abroad :). Very similar to romanian lamb stew.

17/05/2026: Visited the mustard seed for dinner. Lovely atmosphere. Staff very attentive from the moment we arrived. I enjoyed sitting in the front living room, having a drink before our meal by the fire. Cannot fault the food. All fabulous. Due to high price point (but it is beautiful fine dining) I would personally only visit for a special occasion. I will return for a different special occasion and look forward to trying more items on the menu.

26/09/2026: Where will I start! Service unreal, food exceptional, Guinness lovely and creamy. Girls Sasha and Aine were sharp, on point and very polite... I got roast duck which was presented on the plate like we are in Michelin star restaurant, tasted unreal! My wife got mussel's and kids goujons and chips both were fresh and tender and very good. I had one of the best Guinness in a long time in a Gastro pub, nice and creamy... Overall we definitely will visit this side of town a lot more often... Thank you The Top House...

25/10/2026: Visited this lovely restaurant today with my son. We chose well. Food excellent. Staff friendly and very attentive. Pavlova was to die for. 10/10 from us and we will definitely call again and recommend it to others 👍

07/05/2026: The Dunraven hotel is an incredibly beautiful old hotel located right on the main street in Adare. Really enjoyed the large bedroom and large bathroom. All the rooms are this way which makes it very easy to relax and unwind. I would have to say that our hotel room is easily twice the size of a typical European hotel room.
