24/12/2025: My wife and I were visiting Limerick in October from Canada, and this restaurant came highly recommended by our air bnb hosts. The servers were nice and the atmosphere matched, but the food was very slow. We BOTH ordered the chimichuri chicken, which tasted great.... However, less than an hour later we were both violently ill. Truly horror movie sick. We could not leave our air bnb and even had to change our travel plans because we were still bed ridden on day 2. This was a terrible experience and we would NOT recommend going to Freddy's. There was an email sent to management from our kind Airbnb hosts, and they never received a response to try and remedy this.

04/01/2026: We went here for dinner and the food itself was fine. The restaurant was very busy, which can often be a good sign, but unfortunately the staff seemed too rushed to really pay attention to the guests. My main issue came when we paid. We paid by card, but the waitress did not give us a receipt. I immediately felt something was off, as it seemed like the amount charged was higher than what was on the bill. When I asked to see the receipt, she only handed me the bill again and somewhat cheekily asked if there was a problem. When I later checked my bank account at home, I discovered that a 10% tip had been added without my consent. I was very surprised that this could happen. It’s not about whether I can afford to tip or not, but adding a tip without asking the customer feels dishonest and unacceptable. Because of this experience, I can only give the restaurant a low rating. I hope management will address this internally and reflect on how their customers are treated

30/11/2025: We stumbled upon Adare by chance during our visit. Lovely place with a great atmosphere. We had a couple of pints at a high table and a local struck up a conversation with us, and we had a pleasant time. Truly charming people, both staff and customers. Thank you for your kindness.

09/12/2025: I stayed with my mam last night and we had an amazing time. We bought the package deal of bed and breakfast, dinner and entry to the Mike Denver dance. We first had afternoon tea which was delicious and our waiter Evan was very friendly and kind. Later in the day we then had a Christmas dinner that was very tasty. The quality of the food and service in the woodlands is top notch. Mike Denver was a fun night and the room was also very comfortable, modern and cosy. The breakfast room was busy this morning but it was so well organised and again we couldn't fault the food or service. Thanks for a great stay 10/10. I have attended many events between birthdays/christenings here and it is always a good experience.

30/11/2025: Really stuck for something nice to eat always went here if we where in the city not anymore soup and toasted sandwich 25 euro ok a bit pricey toastie was burned on one side and not melted on the other and the soup was salted out really poor food

07/11/2025: Wonderful meal at 1826 Adare. Appreciated the personal touch of Wade coming to our table giving info on our choice of wine.

27/10/2025: Servers were too much. Kept coming over asking how it was but waited for answers even when mouths were full. When we were done with dishes but some remained on the plate it was almost as if they were waiting for an explanation of why the plate wasn’t empty.

10/06/2025: Party of 4 travelers. Stopped in for a quick lunch. My wife had risotto and I had a spinach strudel. Both were far higher in quality than the price would have implied. The staff was super friendly. Strongly recommended! Can't go wrong...
