07/07/2025: One of the best chowders we've had in Ireland, delicious stew and pie. The food arrives piping hot, yet nothing is overcooked; everything is succulent down to the last bite! Excellent service, great attention to detail. Cozy, very pleasant atmosphere. I suggest requesting a table by the fireplace or to the right of it (corner table).

01/07/2025: Slow bring out menus had to go in then slow to take our order but when we got the food i could not fault it burger chips onion rings my fela had fish and chips mushy peas have to say the food was top notch proper irish pub food and it was reasonable go all try this place staff sound nice for food

27/06/2025: Ein tolles Restaurant, riesige Portionen und geschmacklich hervorragend. Die Bedienung ist super nett und fix. Papp und Restaurant sind zusammenhängend, aber getrennte Bereiche. Abends hatten wir Livemusik von vier älteren Herren, Spezialisten mit ihren Instrumenten.

11/06/2025: What an awesome pub in the heart of Adare. We were in Adare on a Monday and Tuesday, Pat Collins was the only pub serving food on Monday night, we enjoyed it so much we went back on Tuesday and we were lucky enough to catch live music. Service and food are both great, the pub is clean, but the atmosphere is what makes it worth the stop!

11/07/2025: I've been here for intimate dates and large group gatherings. Never disappoints in atmosphere, food quality and yummy drinks. Service always exemplary.

08/07/2025: My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner and it was very lovely. The staff were friendly and nice although we had a couple of different waiters which caused confusion at times regarding orders. Since I had gone here before I wanted to try small bites like the mini lobster rolls, the burrata and a side of truffle mac and cheese. All of the food was tasty, even though I did not get a main, i found everything to be filling. I had to ask for bread with the burrata, when I read "pan tomato" I assumed it came with it. It was creamy so it went perfectly with bread. The lobster rolls would be an appetiser for most people but given the rich flavours, I thought the portion was good. Mac and cheese was great but some people might find the aroma of truffle a bit different. The taste was light and really good. Good portion for a side. The night was very enjoyable but I noticed my boyfriend looking around as if he was waiting for something throughout the meal. It turned out, he had sent in a request to the restaurant for my birthday to do something and he would pay for anything they did extra. There were a good few birthday cakes the staff brought out for other diners whilst singing but I never got one. I didn't know until we had left that he included that request but I suppose it was a little disappointing they didn't read what he had sent in the booking.

25/07/2025: This bar has definitely gone down in my estimation after a recent visit. Location is good and I found staff friendly and nice but the food is not worth the price. Mostly high tables and chairs which I saw some older tourists struggling to get comfortable on. I had the veggie wrap with fries but it really had no taste. Coleslaw was watery and the fries were not great either. A busy spot and perhaps nice for just a drink by the river but would skip the food. Toilets were nice and clean.

22/07/2025: Aangezien er op maandagavond niet zo veel restaurants/pubs open zijn, bezochten we het zeer bekende “The Locke Bar” Bij het binnenkomen al direct de Ierse sfeer met een live band. Dan het eten … als starter hadden we de nacho’s en die smaakten uitstekend in combinatie met mijn blond bier. Als hoofdgerecht had ik de Cesar Salade en mijn vrouw de salade geitenkaas. Beide waren lekker en meer dan voldoende! Nadien nog een lekkere Irish koffie! Zeer vriendelijk personeel en de rekening was ook ok. M.a.w. zeker de moeite om eens binnen te stappen

20/07/2025: We had a lovely stay here! Staff are very nice and the rooms are spacious and clean. We ate dinner and breakfast here. My mains were a bit dry but everything else was tasty meal wise. I'd recommend staying here when in Limerick.

20/07/2025: A really good hotel , great food and location. Will definitely be going back. Edit, after a second visit, I was surprised to see the same torn and dirty nets in the rooms, desperately needing replacing. I did enjoy my visit, but a little attention to detail goes a long way.

26/06/2025: We had a fantastic meal last weekend for a birthday celebration. There were 6 people in our party. Everyone ordered something different and everything was absolutely perfect. Hot food delicious and all served at the same time. Staff were very good just the right amount of attentiveness and not a bit intrusive. The only thing I can mention is that on the website you can only book a maximum of 4 people. I had to text to book the additional 2 people. This maybe something to look at. But we have zero complaints about the food restaurant or service. Keep up the good work and the staff are brilliant.

21/06/2025: Fantastic food. Staff are always excellent, in terms of attention in particular. Front of house accommodated us tonight even with a booking error. Top marks

13/07/2025: We stopped on the way to our destination and were treated wonderfully. We had delicious fish and chips and a couple of pints of Guinness for less than 6 euros.

13/07/2025: The pub has a nice atmosphere, The chilli Sin carne was very salty but ok but the cheese burger had barley any cheese on it. I keep trying to get the server attention but she keeps the head down and lots of people where trying to get her attention (her colleagues called her M but I don't know her name). I eventually got her attention by getting up and i showed her the cheese burger with barley any cheese she just laughed at it and got me a slice from the kitchen i will put a picture of the burger i was served as well

05/07/2025: Attended a 50th birthday party there this evening, there was a wedding on at the same time and the place was packed yet the service was faultless, the food was exceptional, staff very friendly and attentive, a fantastic little play ground and animals to keep my 2yo entertained, couldn't fault the place, highly recommended

16/07/2025: "Castle" is a bit of a massive exaggeration. It's more like an industrial unit with a modern stone wall where it's seen from outside, if you go outside onto the road and squint and use your imagination from a certain angle it kind of slightly resembles a castle a little bit.

20/06/2025: Rural location, very nice bar and great staff. This company also has a full catering company that operates from the same location.

10/06/2025: Party of 4 travelers. Stopped in for a quick lunch. My wife had risotto and I had a spinach strudel. Both were far higher in quality than the price would have implied. The staff was super friendly. Strongly recommended! Can't go wrong...

21/07/2025: We visited yesterday - the day of the All Ireland Hurling Final. We called ahead and asked if we might watch the final round of the Open Championship on one TV. They were very accommodating to our request and kept the drinks flowing throughout our time (4.5 hours) there. I had one of the best burgers I have ever had and the chips (French fries to most Americans) were crisp and nicely seasoned. Given everyone but our group of four were not watching golf, they couldn’t have been better at making us feel welcome.
