06/01/2026: We attended a Hermitage Green concert. The members of staff were fantastic.

06/01/2026: Easily the best run bar and venue in Limerick City. A haven for mature punters who appreciate alternative sounds and laid back atmosphere. I've not tried the food but the menu looks enticing.

11/01/2026: Enjoyed a few nice pints of Heino.

31/12/2025: Stopped here for a break on our way to Kerry. Had a seafood chowder, it was so good that we stopped again on our way back as well.

01/02/2026: Linda went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food was excellent and all the staff were top class. A very nice experience.

30/01/2026: Such a fab meal - food and service was 10/10. Anna was our waitress and was lovely, other staff were very nice and brought out candles for my brothers birthday - would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back.

28/01/2026: The food is beautiful in Pat Collins bar and the staff are friendly and helpful.

24/01/2026: Quality bar, was in here for food on a Sunday evening. Place was very busy and not surprised why. Had the stew which was fantastic & better half had the Fusilli pesto pasta which was always pretty good

18/01/2026: Very overpriced. Spent 279 for room only. Then had to pay 14e extra to park across the road. Had hassle getting out of carpark next morning. Ticket machine wouldn't work to lift the barrier up. Contacted the hotel they said its nothing to do with them. Unfortunately because of the parking situation I won't be back again. Very poor customer service.

05/01/2026: Perfect location in the city centre. Very quite and comfortable rooms. Staff were lovely.

15/01/2026: A good bar in a great location. Wide selection of drinks and a decent food selection. There were outdoor seats with a nice view of the river. They're currently undergoing renovations. We're sure they'll reopen by summer. In the evenings, there's live music and even dancing. In four years, it's never let me down. Sometimes the smell is a bit heavy. Suitable for large groups.

12/02/2026: Amazing place. Warmly greeted by the Bar/restaurant manager, very pleasant & very friendly. The place had a special energy, very calm , full of people having a great time. After I sat down and looked around everybody here looked how I felt. I came to enjoy dinner here and I was blown away. The team here are great and really make the place and energy memorable. The food was extremely tasty. I look forward to returning here sometime again in the future.

21/01/2026: Had a great experience! Stopped in for a cup of tea. Fireplace was a warming delight and the scone was great! The propietor was a lovely man who gave us a wonderful history tour of the building and explanation of Ireland's complex history as well as some great recommendations and just overall kindness! Loved it!

19/01/2026: Great restaurant, I absolutely recommend this place if you are in Limerick for a weekend. Great service, atmosphere and food.

14/01/2026: We went in December, it was quite busy, but everything was exceptional. The food was to die for, we had steak and the chicken, we could taste good quality ingredients, not extra seasoning or salt, just very well cooked. The flourless cake with pistachio ice cream just finished the evening perfectly. The waiters and the manager were very attentive.

From the very first conversation right through to the big day itself, the entire team went above and beyond to make everything flawless, relaxed, and truly special. The setting was absolutely beautiful, the attention to detail was incredible, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The staff were professional, kind, and genuinely cared about making our day unforgettable—not just for us, but for our guests as well. So many of our family and friends commented on how smooth everything ran, how stunning the venue was, and how wonderful the service felt. The food was exceptional, the rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, and the atmosphere throughout the day and evening was magical. We felt completely looked after, which meant we could truly relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding. Thank you to everyone at The Woodlands for giving us memories we will treasure forever. 09/12/2025: I stayed with my mam last night and we had an amazing time. We bought the package deal of bed and breakfast, dinner and entry to the Mike Denver dance. We first had afternoon tea which was delicious and our waiter Evan was very friendly and kind. Later in the day we then had a Christmas dinner that was very tasty. The quality of the food and service in the woodlands is top notch. Mike Denver was a fun night and the room was also very comfortable, modern and cosy. The breakfast room was busy this morning but it was so well organised and again we couldn't fault the food or service. Thanks for a great stay 10/10. I have attended many events between birthdays/christenings here and it is always a good experience.

30/11/2025: Really stuck for something nice to eat always went here if we where in the city not anymore soup and toasted sandwich 25 euro ok a bit pricey toastie was burned on one side and not melted on the other and the soup was salted out really poor food

18/11/2025: Asked for eggs well done brought same eggs back just flipped over!

22/01/2026: Ideal family meal with young kids. Kids menu had lots of options as did the adults. Quality of food was great. This is a great option for a Sunday family lunch. Will be back.
