18/03/2024: Went in for a few jars after the boxing in Castlebar. The atmosphere was brilliant, the pints were great and the staff couldn't do enough for us - we even got a lift home at the end of the night as the taxis were scarce. The visit genuinely made the weekend. Brilliant.
13/03/2024: Mike Byrne. A legend in Castlebar. Passion for sports, to be a good host and the friendship toward locals and tourists are laws in his pub. Worth every cent. Keep up the good job!

Left myself short for time and was in kinda hurry to see the house. Liked that history posts were long enough to remember, but not overdone. Amazing staff. Amazing grounds to enjoy the walk. Definitely will be back as it is so worth visiting. ❤

31/08/2023: Probably one of the best views of any restaurant in Ireland. Big hotel dining room so not v buzzy. Staff are great. Lovely flavours in the quail starter and the pork main. But they left off the crackling for some inexplicable reason and the side plate of veg was over cooked like a banquet service. Let's the meal down when the broccoli and green beans are too soft to pick up with a fork !!

02/04/2024: Love this cafe! My favourite local spot. Food is always delicious and staff are all so lovely. Cakes deserve a special mention! So fresh and always lots of options.
12/01/2024: Had a breakfast fry and tea. Everything was delicious and not a bit of grease anywhere. Eggs were perfectly soft and runny.
Service was quick efficient and despite the cafe being busy. Very reasonably priced and I would highly recommend it.
Will definitely be back.

30/11/2023: Possibly the best links course I have played. Fantastic course, well layed out, challenging but not to the point of punishing. The course is in brilliant condition and the greens were immaculate,(if a little slow, but that is to be expected at this time of year). A warm welcome in the pro shop and an excellent putting green nearby to sharpen the eye all added to a fantastic days golf. I look forward to returning there hopefully sooner rather than later.

02/04/2024: Top experience - superb seafood, kind staff and vibrant atmosphere! The oysters couldn't be any fresher (straight from the sea to our plates!), the scallops were the best I have ever eated (gave me goosebumps, no joke!) and both the ray and the pork belly were just pure perfection.
If I could go beyond 5 star rating, I would - really a place that redefines what a fish can taste like. Thank you very much for an unforgettable evening!
