04/01/2025: Can’t stop thinking about this Guinness Stew - melt in the mouth meat which is still pink in the middle, rich sauce and creamy mash. An excellent portion size too.

28/12/2024: The pizza here is grand, but the prices and false advertising leave a bad taste. Ordered three pizzas over the phone tonight, only to be charged 33% more than is shown on the online menu at collection. Over €60 for three pizzas is ridiculous. You wouldn’t pay that in NYC, London, or Paris. Shocking stuff really. I wouldn’t have placed the order if the real prices were displayed. I just paid out of courtesy but in hindsight I should have said something. It’s very bad form, and from reading the other reviews seems to be common practice.

28/12/2024: Can’t get over the prices of pizzas in this place! We ordered 3 pizzas over the phone, which we ordered off their menu online. When we went in to collect the pizzas we were charged 33% more than what was said on their website. We were charged €60 for 3 pizzas! Absolute rip off and would not have ordered them if the menu had the current pricing on it. You should really update your website to have the current pricing list of your food. Can’t justify the prices for what you get and have never seen pricing as bad as that (even in big cities), will not be back unfortunately.

01/01/2025: Fresh fish 🐟 & chips *not that hot 🫣 Beautiful generous glass of wine 🍷 Sat at the bar as there was no tables delightedto get in as I had j7st driven 3half hours .. Sean the owner was very accommodating finding me a seat 19 euros for fish & chips 😋 Waiting on dessert 🍨....

29/11/2024: lovely pub the last time I was in this pub was 2009 on a stag I think the man that owned it then since past . lovely pub great friendly staff had a pint of Murphys and it was good . I will not leave it as long before I go back again. also met Pete on the Saturday.

30/12/2024: What a fabulous place! Left myself short for time and was in kinda hurry to see the house. Liked that history posts were long enough to remember, but not overdone. Amazing staff. Amazing grounds to enjoy the walk. Definitely will be back as it is so worth visiting. ❤

05/01/2025: I brought my boyfriend for his birthday dinner on Friday and we had an amazing experience. He's quite a picky eater so I was a bit anxious but the menu had great options, both for him and for me who'd be a bit more adventurous. I ate caviar for the first time and was not disappointed! The venison for main was full of flavours and cooked perfectly. But great food is nothing without proper service! We had Stéphane looking after us and he was everything you wish for in a waiter. Funny, attentive and knowledgeable. Finally, special mention for the wine list which is one of the best I've seen in Ireland. Well balanced mix of different wines from various countries that will suit all budgets. I've seen some reviews complaining about pricing but I think it was worth every euro as the quality of everything was top-notch. Also if you go for the cheaper menu, you can count around €55 pp for 3 courses and a glass of wine which is what you'd pay anywhere else. As we say in French, chapeau 👌 We will be back!

29/11/2024: Great pub went back 2 night good music and a good atmosphere in the place. went in on the Sunday morning and we were chatting to the boss. he was very friendly and more than willing to have a chat . il definitely be back
