17/05/2025: The people with you make the atmosphere!
10/05/2025: We booked the west for communion celebration dinner and very happy we did. Everything from the set menu, service and value were second to none. We were a large group of 23 adults and 8 kids. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Food was served seamlessly by great staff. The function room upstairs is a great space. We were allowed to decorate the evening before and nothing was too much trouble for Martin and his staff. The West surpassed itself today. If you have any celebration coming up I highly recommend the west you will not be disappointed

The Helm

11/05/2025: Booked a 2 night stay at The Helm Apartments on booking.com. It was a great stay, well equipped apartment, less than 5 min drive to downtown Westport or 15-20 min walk. Upon arrival for check-in the staff helped us to our apartment, was very friendly and ensured we had everything before leaving (baby cot). The free breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Parking is just across the street and was only a couple euros for 24 hours.
We also had dinner at TheHelm one night, big portions and good food, you must make reservations at it鈥檚 a very very busy pub.
We will be back and will recommend TheHelm to others when visiting Westport.

17/05/2025: It looks high-profile, but our experience was one of haste. It felt like there was a timer on our stay. Even after desert, there was a bill on the table before we could have a chance to ask for tea or coffee.
We were directly at the windows, people were smoking outside, not very appetizing. The food was good, but not extra.
13/05/2025: Reccomended by family and didn't disappoint as food quality was superb and front of house were very attentive.

09/06/2025: Hadn't been here in years but as we were holidaying in the area we decided to go back. It was as good as I remember it. Just a shame I live three hours away.
05/06/2025: Stopped off for a snack here while out walking along the Clew Bay coast. Fabulous chowder. The new black pudding starter was great also.
(I sneak in here on my evening "stroll" also, for a chat and a pint,,,, shhhh馃槄馃か)

03/05/2025: the most disgusting pub, where bullying and Discrimination flourish, security is just a disgrace. I have been to many pubs in Ireland, Ireland is famous. but I have never seen such an attitude towards tourists anywhere. I do not advise any tourist to relax in this pub, the service is 0, I will tell all my friends that this is the worst pub in this city. If you are of another nationality, you are not allowed to enter.馃ぎ

08/09/2024: It's very disappointing because we didn't even qualify. On the Internet it is written that it is open, but we found a sign on the door that it is closed. We were detoured from the route because of this cafe
