06/04/2026: Excellent vibes about this place! I believe it was a 'Dale' spotted us coming in and immediately made sure we had seats, which was highly sound of him and welcoming. Got seated next to and chatting to a long established regular 'Nathan' who was beyond civil and a credit to himself and to the pub. Pub itself is super cool, well presented, well lit, great music, superb beer garden, very relaxed, and drinks were spot on and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend. Not just one of the best bars in Sligo, one the best bars in the country I reckon. Well done to all👌

The food was delicious, the service was warm and welcoming, and our whole group had such a great time together. And the fire was absolute perfection, especially after a cold hike up Knocknarea. 🔥 Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, we will definitely be back! ❤️

10/05/2026: A fantastic find for lunch! The service was impressively fast despite the number of people, and the food was delicious. It has a genuine, homemade feel that you don't often find in a restaurant. Highly recommended.

06/05/2026: I like the food and the staff are quick and lovely. But the atmosphere is a little less appealing. It's separated into little areas and no background music with bright lights, so it's not a very pleasant environment to eat in. Particularly the small room at the front is just really quiet, I always find myself whispering to not automatically have a conversation with the whole room. The side nooks are a bit better. I think some background music and better lighting would already make a big difference in terms of atmosphere.

05/05/2026: This is a quirky pup to enjoy a pint and some food. Good Guinness and gorgeous Oysters with one of the nicest dressings. The food service staff were superb and really looked after us, the 2 lads at the bar however serving pints could do with learning to smile and having a bit of craic. I’ll defiantly be back for Oysters here.

08/05/2026: Great family run business and polite staff and great food and handy little shop to pick up shopping and a very large car park it's conviently situated in the Castle Connor on the Ballina to Sligo Road area,they cater for all occasions👍

22/04/2026: Charming & authentic Bar Restaurant conveniently located right on the roadside of the Sligo road in the Castleconnor area. Great food, drink, staff and atmosphere. There's even a very handy mini mart bolted onto the carpark side including a hot deli. A real one stop shop. Love dropping in for a pint and a bite. We are so lucky, it is a halfway house on a lovely walk.

15/04/2026: My family stayed in the Riverside Hotel recently while my husband was attending hospital. We have stayed here several times, but this stay especially warranted a review. The lady at reception, Erin, quite literally moved heaven and earth for us. She went above and beyond to help us. She is an absolute credit to the hotel! A lovely woman, the hotel is blessed to have her!
