08/01/2026: Burger night on a Thursday is great value! The porterhouse burger was great with a glass of Malbec for €20. Looking forward to trying a dish off the main menu next time. Great spot to dine before going to the local cinema!

23/12/2025: Stayed at the Coach Hotel in Ballymote for four days in November. Had a wonderful stay. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Delicious breakfast every morning to start the day. Nice restaurant and lounge area. Can’t say enough about the great hospitality. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Ballymote area.

02/01/2026: We called to make a reservation and they were very busy but managed to fit us in. We were a little early on our arrival but they accommodated us with a table. The staff were so friendly and nice. The food was quick but delicious. Nice cosy little atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

11/11/2025: Love this hotel got a fantastic balcony room it was outstanding got a lovely treat as we were celebrating 40th wedding anniversary, the hotel is so central in Sligo, private parking underneath hotel a small fee for secure parking. Our meal was beautiful and breakfast was outstanding too can’t wait to go back. The hotel staff was outstanding and attentive great hotel to visit.

29/12/2025: It was quite busy when visited, just tried a Roast Chicken Sandwich. Not as much chicken as I feel it had a few months ago, but still an absolute pleasure to eat. Fresh bread 🍞, can't beat it.

20/01/2026: A great little place in Sligo, the restaurant was quite busy but they had a good menu and the food was very tasty, the service was fast attentive and the general atmosphere was great, definitely recommend to get a bite to eat.

10/01/2026: I love going Hooked Sligo I've the Chick Fil A Burger crispy southern fried chicken breast burger,peri peri mayo,smoked applewood cheese, iceberg lettuce red cabbage and asian Slaw in a warm brioche bun served with fries And house salad. I've pot of tea and I'll back here for sure as food is lovely I fully recommend Hooked Sligo to everyone

26/12/2025: Had fish there 22 /12/25 it was the worst meal I ever ate it was tasteless and watery .It will be the last time I'm will ever darken the place.when I mentioned it to the waitress she just shrugged and laughed with her co worker.

18/08/2025: Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our visit to the restaurant. Very high prices for small dishes without any seasoning. The burger was unfortunately very dry and not particularly well-prepared. It's a nice place to sit outside, but the music was a bit loud.

No pretense, no tasting menus, no one trying to reinvent the potato — just solid food, the kind that fills your stomach and makes you feel human again. We started with the Mexican potatoes — a Frankenstein’s monster of spuds, minced meat, and molten cheese. Messy, indulgent, and exactly what you want with the first sip of a pint. It’s not a starter that asks for approval; it just shows up and gets the job done. The steak sandwich followed — simple, meaty, unapologetic. The fish and chips came out crisp, golden, and properly fried — the kind of thing that reminds you how good bar food can be when people still give a damn. And of course, a pint of Guinness — dark, creamy, perfectly settled. It’s the punctuation mark at the end of a meal that doesn’t try to impress, only to satisfy. Lags Bar isn’t chasing trends. It’s feeding people. And that’s something worth sitting down for.

29/12/2025: Highly recommended, to be honest. The food was well prepared, the portions were generous, and the service was incredibly friendly. Two people had three courses, three beers, and a Coke for €61. The place is very small, but pleasant.

20/12/2025: Perfect stop off if coming from Sligo to Dublin. Ordered for breakfast Avocado Bread with Poached Eggs,Penaut etc.Food is great but for me little spicy. Freshly made, good quality and reasonably priced with great coffee and service. Quality food and great service.

05/01/2026: They have one handicap spot in their lot that it seems anyone can park in. If you are disabled in any way then this is not the place to stay. I even asked the front desk about it and they clearly don’t care.

02/01/2026: We had a fabulous time. My very first experience here was in the early evening and I spoke to a lad at the bar who did not want me to be there. But after going out for our Christmas dinner, we were really really pleasantly surprised. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. This was the 3rd choice. Talk about 3rd time lucky. We will be back!
