10/02/2025: If you've ever wondered how to do hard-boiled poached eggs, wonder no more! The chef at Yeats has it down to a fine art; along with overgrilled bacon and sausage, dried out mushrooms and underdone toast. A very, very disappointing "Mini Breakfast" although the black & white pudding was ok - tasty, spicy and properly prepared. The service was equally disappointing - coffee just dumped on the table with no thought of milk (which we didn't want), no follow-up, no offer of more coffee (which we did want). And then the look of horror on the server's face when no TIP was given - priceless! One⭐for the coffee which was very good. One⭐for the little tubs of jam & marmalade (always a welcome touch) Probably won't go back.

07/02/2025: Feeling disheartened after our experience at Yeats County Inn in Curry. On Wednesday, we appreciated their participation in Sligo County Council’s initiative offering free hot meals to those of us still without power. The owner kindly invited us to return the next day. However, upon arriving around 5 pm on Thursday, we found a notice stating they had closed at 4:15 pm due to a power cut. Interestingly, the power was on, with lights visible inside, and neighboring establishments were operational. We even called today, Friday, to see if they were still offering the initiative, and they stated it stopped yesterday – how convenient. It seems they may have closed early to avoid providing more free meals. This is disheartening, especially during such challenging times.

02/02/2025: Had a gorgeous meal here last night with my cousins, it was the nicest food I have had out in a very long time. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and everything ran like clockwork. Highly highly recommended

30/01/2025: I've been coming to Davis' Restaurant for 23 yrs. I have never had a bad dining experience in it. The food today was stunning, fresh, just amazing. I got the grilled goats cheese salad and didn't leave a morsel behind!

27/01/2025: Can not recommend this hotel enough have ate dinner here alot of times as well as have my child's christening at this hotel and now when I find myself at dire straights after the storm with no electric water or phone signal and a 6month old and 2 teenagers with autism they have been more than helpful for my situation, from friendly staff to amazing food (which is a must try for anyone in the area) to loverly bedrooms and very helpful staff...highly recommend 1000%

09/01/2025: Room was spacious and beds were comfortable with a nice view of the river and town. Food in restaurant was good and friendly staff. Breakfast was terrible, when we got our food served up to us by extremely rude breakfast woman it was very cold and bland. Another thing is the awful feeling you get of staff standing around watching you eating breakfast at table. Not very nice and no privacy. I counted 6 staff standing around doing nothing.

04/01/2025: Location, location and again location. Great place to stay. Friendly staff, spacious rooms. Had the breakfast, also great. Walking distance from everything. Value for money.

20/11/2024: Excellent cafe with a great selection of tasty food and drinks, with lots of choices for everyone. The service is fantastic too. Everyone I've been served by is friendly, helpful and welcoming. I've lived away from Sligo since the late '90s, but I always pay a visit here whenever I return, to catch up with family, friends, or even enjoy a solo coffee and cake. Highly recommended!

17/11/2024: We hadn't visited nook in a while but we will be visiting much more after one of the nicest lunches in a long time. The banh mi baos are sublime, its such a clever mix of flavours. Keep doing what you doing nook, there's a lot of other places in the area obviously taking influence from here, but the original still does it best. Will be back to try that Christmas sandwich next month!

15/12/2024: We sat down at 6 pm and ordered our starter,5 minutes later it arrived which we thought was quick, as soon as we were finished our mains arrived 3 minutes later , by 6.30 we had mains eating and they were trying to get a dessert order which we had to refuse because everything was so rushed we just finished our wine and left, very rushed experience felt they couldn't get us out quickly enough, kind of ran like a factory, food could have been hotter also, would not be returning, next time we want fast food experience McDonald's will do the trick
