02/10/2025: Lovely bar with a spot to sit for everyone. We came for the good food and live music. If you have the chance, make sure to see Anthony Roche. He is an absolutely amazing musician and kind person. He was our favorite musician we saw during our time in Waterford. The restaurant area is cozy and the food was perfect!

29/07/2025: I was very disappointed with the dinner I had in the Granville. Service was extremely slow, had to wait 15 minutes to order while staff stood around and bar was quiet. The staff member who took our order was extremely rude, we weren't told the specials and when I found asked a question, the staff member replied "sure I wouldn't know".
My curry was definitely re-heated as there was a skin over it when it came out and the rice was uneatable. It was stuck together and felt it it had been re-heated.
Took another 12 minutes to order dessert which was a big let down.
28/07/2025: Great service by Bonnie + Macy. We had delicious fish and chips. Accomodating and friendly. Attentive service, we didn't have to wait long

30/09/2025: Great place to eat if you visit dinner museum, we booked a table for two and the atmosphere was really nice, staff is very kind, the food was served 5 minutes after ordered, the food was OK but don't expect too much, in general taste was good but a bit overprice which makes sense for the place where is located, cocktails were really good. In general I will definitely recommend this place.

We regularly come to Geoffs for the consistency of the food. We have never had a bad meal here. We have a few meals which we choose to, from the chowder or fish and chips to the curry or the excellent specials, we are never disappointed. Plus the music and ambience is always good and the staff are excellent too.

19/10/2025: Super 3 star Hotel, excellent value. Although not many extras and frills, the rooms are large, clean and warm. Good large bed.
The best facility are the staff, absolutely super, in the lounge, at dinner and at breakfast.
The dining room us large, beautifully presented.
Very impressed, would highly recommend.
Parking is opposite the hotel, offering both long and short options.

The rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly and especially the young lady in charge at breakfast time, I asked for very strong tea and yes I got it and even a couple of extra teabags just in case, super 👌
And the the next morning when we went down for breakfast this lady remembered and made sure I got tea the way I like it.
To some this is not important, but I believe this is the the things that set really good staff apart from the others.
Well done dooleys hotel.

18/10/2025: I had booked one of their special events, it was the Celebrate the Pumpkin dinner/demo. After going to their Autumn Harvest dinner in past years we we're excited to return and had booked a hotel in Waterford. The event was cancelled, we only got notification when I got an email stating my tickets will be refunded on the morning of the event. No previous email to say we're sorry, no phone call, no heads up. Really poor management, hopefully their gardening skills are better than their people skills.
13/09/2025: The food and atmosphere and the owner at the billing station was all good
Even he gave us 10% discount for HSE worker in hospital
The lady was kind enough to modify our food as halal/vegetarian as it could be
I even asked them if they use same pans for bacon and meat stuff and they said they do it separately for sure
French toast was not too moist for me but the ice cream and beetroot brownie was too good, would love to go there for that
Over all its a beautiful experience inside and out as its a big area of plants and flowers

24/08/2025: That's not a main portion of calamari rings, no matter how you put it.
Extra point for a staff member rectifying this by selling this tiny snack as a starter (that's why 5 stars for service, too).
