06/12/2025: I really enjoyed my time at Waterford Grattan Bar. The food was genuinely delicious, and the bar team showed fantastic hospitality from start to finish. A warm, welcoming place that Iโd happily recommend to anyone visiting Waterford.
23/11/2025: Wonderful find! Our party of 4 was in Waterford enjoying Winterval and wanted some good pub food, specifically fish and chips. A quick search led us to Grattan Bar. The ambience was lovely, the service excellent, and the food exceptional. We had 2 of the fish and chips, one bacon and cabbage, and one seafood chowder. The portions were generous and the quality outstanding. We were there at mid-afternoon, and it was a welcome, comfortable, relaxing break. Definitely a place to return to!

09/12/2025: Very nice hotel and friendly staff I haven't stayed at this hotel but I do like it the staff in the bar are very helpful and nice it's great location the only thing I didn't like was that there is no leisure centre in the hotel it would suit the hotel great if it had room for a leisure centre and a swimming pools steam rooms etc the hotels in waterford city that do have a pool do not do a day pass for other hotels and that's a very big disappointment.

I got there 1h (20:30, Google says 21:30, and this information is provided by the restaurant) before closing and the server told me that the restaurant would close in few minutes...

Any other city and you could expect to pay double for what is being produced here.
The breads alone are a talking point. 10/10

28/11/2025: People generally enjoying themselves. Service was poor at bar including manager who couldnโt be bothered. Food was very late and cold. Many empty tables despite the excuse being โvery busyโ. About average for a corporate tourist trap.
26/11/2025: In connection with our visit to Guinness Storehouse, we decided to have our lunch here. It did not disappoint ๐ the food was just delicious and tasty ๐ recommend to visit here for some food. Of course we had a Guinness beer to go along our food ๐บ๐

The food was absolutely incredible, and I love that I can get lentils, nuts, and seeds straight out of a jar instead of wrestling with yet another plastic pack. Love the refillable household items, and Irish produce.
So simple โ so genius and so delicious!
