15/03/2025: Living in this beautiful town for 25 years has witnessed this bar that I love very much. I give this restaurant a thumbs up for its delicious food, considerate service, and very comfortable environment. You must come and experience it. Open the window from morning to night. love very much

The Burnaby
Greystones
27/03/2025: Food is ok, bit overpriced for pub grub. Service is top notch. However, €7.10 for a pint of Guinness is criminal. Greystones must be the new Temple Bar.
23/03/2025: The lads who served us, have the right personal approach to customers, they take the order and follow it through; they serve, they check, they manage the bill, like a family owned business :-)

Jacobs Well
Rathdrum
02/04/2025: While the customers all seemed local at the time we were there, we felt welcome in the pub/restaurant. Food and beer were very good. We had braised beef (resembling Irish stew) and the burger. Service was excellent.
18/03/2025: Had a lovely time here. Had been here many times for a drink but never food.
Didn't disappointed.
A great atmosphere and lots of people around. A sports bar with lots of televisions.
A small area at the end of bar/lounge for eating but there is also a bigger restaurant.
Lovely selection on the menu. Specials also avaliable.
Staff very efficient and helpful. Great value.
Highly recommended.

Hunter's Hotel
07/04/2025: Long time family tradition.
Food still fantastic.
Staff brilliant.
20/01/2025: One of my favourite places to visit in Wicklow, whether just to stop in for a stroll around the charming gardens and have a pot of tea and a warm, freshly baked scone with jam, butter, and cream, or have a celebratory family luncheon. A place of immense atmosphere that brings you to another time, it is like a portal to a world that barely exists anymore, with fantastic, kind, and sometimes wonderfully comic staff that could be straight out of a Flann O'Brien novel... it's no wonder this place attracts writers and painters and artists of all kinds who use the rooms and grounds for peace, good conversation, and inspiration. The food is delicious and they grow many of the ingredients they use on their land. Visit Hunter's to have an experience you are unlikely to receive in any other modern, fashionable Irish destination hotel or resort. A truly one of a kind place, untouched by time. Long may it be so.

The Coach House
Roundwood
06/04/2025: At lunch outside. Very decent spot. The menu does feel like they added a load of French words just to justify the very high prices. The cheeseburger was ok. Its "fancy word" was Wagu but it wasn't far off any other mid quality burger for me.
The chips were perfect. Great Guinness. The outdoor area was very noisy with the extractor fan on since they were BBQing things that day. Ruined the outdoor chill vibe a touch. The service was top notch, they add a 12.5% service charge so we didn't have to tip but worth noting they add it to the bill.
30/03/2025: We stayed here for a night just after Christmas December 2024. We were doing a hike in glendalough and had been here for lunch before and thought it seemed like a nice place to stay. Really very disappointed by the experience.
First of all they only had a lunch menu available for dinner and they closed the kitchen at 8pm. They never told us this when we booked. We didn't fancy eating lunch for dinner so we ordered the most dinner like thing on the menu which was a steak which cost €40! Then, after the dinner was over we did get to relax by the fire for a little bit which was lovely but they kicked us out by 9pm and we had nowhere to go but our tiny room! It was so disappointing l
No residence bar. No nothing. They didn't even tell us the code for the door to get out. We wandered though the town in search of a pint but it was grim so we just went back to the hotel. The staff were still there chatting so we asked if we could have one drink but the womab said no! So we just went back to our tiny bedroom and went to sleep by 10pm. Then we were woken up by someone coming in at 4am (the walls are like paper you can hear everything). It seemed to be the guy who works there and lives there (he must have found somewhere to )!
The next morning the breakfast in the cafe adjacent was nice but the room was absolutely freezing.
Definitely not worth €225 a night to eat lunch for dinner, no residents bar and an absolutely tiny room with paper thin walls. Would not recommend and would not come back.

Philip Healy
Wicklow
17/03/2025: Such rude bartenders, DO NOT go there
15/03/2025: My father and I came for lunch, at 12:30 p.m. we were among the first in the pub. The waitress who greeted us was so attentive. We were lost for the choice of beers and she offered us 2 local beers which she made us taste before choosing. We appreciated the gesture. The plates are very generous, we enjoyed ourselves and we came on the day of the Ireland/Italy rugby match, the supporters were there, very good experience, I recommend this place.

The Bridge Tavern
Wicklow
11/04/2025: Highly recommend this place for the very warm welcome, the entertainment, food and room all made this a great place to stay. Definitely coming back. Thanks to all.
06/04/2025: I don't normally do reviews..but stopped in today for a roast beef dinner..my God.. awful..obviously vacuum packed beef pre cooked and dry poor mash potato..staff were only college staff who to be fair looked like they would rather be elsewhere..no leadership on the floor..mentioned the poor food..might as well have spoke to the wall..used to be a great place to go for some food..but has fallen down on quality food and staff massively..my advice? Get some good chefs in..and start cooking from fresh..or yous will be in trouble in a years time

Sika
31/01/2025: Stayed at the hotel and had a wonderful meal in the Sika. The food was delicious and our thanks to Eva for her excellent recommendations.
07/01/2025: We stayed in the hotel and had dinner here.
Food was good but there are some points to improve.
After sitting us the hostess mentioned that for dinner there was a five course meal menu served, but when opening the menu we discovered that there was a 2 course meal option as well that was never mentioned. This was a more suitable option since we were stuffed from earlier lunch in Sally Gap.
Also after checking the menu we realised that there were no vegetarian options. We had to request the vegetarian menu to the waiter that there were never mentioned before.
Moreover, menu options could be broader.
Our waiter was very friendly and efficient but there was a slight delay in our mains and nobody approached us.
It was an ok experience but it didn’t meet our expectations for a five star’s restaurant hotel.
