The best restaurantsof irish in Wicklow

10/08/2025: Our family of 2 adults & 3 kids enjoyed a lovely meal here recently as a treat while camping in the nearby campsite. The curry & linguini were delicious, the pizza's are large enough for the kids to share two. The staff were friendly & efficient. We would highly recommend Byrne & Woods.

06/08/2025: At 6:00 PM we wanted to make a reservation for 7:30 PM but were told it wasn't necessary. At 7:30 PM it was full and we would have to wait an hour. No excuse, that's a shame.

30/07/2025: Went there with five friends, my first time. We had lunch in the garden. Food very good, all were happy with their choice. Best of all was the pleasant, courteous and friendly staff !!! Thank you!

15/07/2025: I don't understand why they say the food will be ready in 20 minutes on the phone when ordering and when you go to collect you are waiting an additional 20 to 40 mins, especially when other customers for collection show up afterwards and get served quicker. also while waiting in there you can hear the other customers having a conversation saying that they have been waiting a long time and also saying that they have been waiting along time because they don't know them. Should it not be first come first served and not served on a personal level of knowing someone?

12/07/2025: A hot summer's day, and we needed a quick meal and a cold pint. Both were available in a clean and welcoming environment. Efficient staff and delicious food.

13/08/2025: Beautiful and charming old style hotel and restaurant. The restaurant is open for lunch on the weekends and high tea is available every day. The gardens are absolutely stunning and service is very lovely. The high tea experience is a real treat, sandwiches and cakes, scones and tea or coffee or prosecco. A real lovey treat in a beautiful setting. The hotels also offers rooms with breakfast options. Tranquil setting.

05/08/2025: This is one of my favourite places for afternoon tea (never stayed so cannot say anything about the rooms but suspect they have a old world irresistable charm, as the whole place does!). It feels like you are stepping back 150 years into the Victorian era. The garden is wonderful! Go before its is overtaken by the modern age . . .

13/08/2025: breakfast is crap! food quality isn’t good and the service was appalling as people who came about 10 minutes after us received their drinks and breakfast before us. our drinks arrived several minutes after the breakfast. place is not the cleanest either.

10/08/2025: It was a planned dinner, we were just passing Round wood after a long mountain walk, and decided to stop for an early dinner. Having already been to the Round wood store we had said we owe to try the Coach House restaurant. Well we haven't been disappointed at all. We had a great time, some amazing food and we were served with many smiles. It is not exactly cheap but it is well worth it. Great quality of Irish products are served here, and amazingly prepared and presented in the plates. I highly recommend the fish options. I went for the monkfish which was delicious. I highly recommend.

08/08/2025: Wonderful birthday celebration last night in the restaurant. Excellent service, delicious food, particularly starters and dessert. Lovely location, looking forward to repeat visits.

11/07/2025: Popped in for dinner, and I was glad we did. Good menu with a fine choice, excellent and friendly service. A fine meal was enjoyed by both of us. A traditional pub grub eatery that can cater to everyone. Thoroughly enjoyable.

07/07/2025: My husband and I went in the Jacob’s restaurant. The staff was very friendly and polite! The food is so delicious and dessert was incredible! Also they have a lot of kind of pints !!! Highly recommend this place ! I’ll be back soon 🤩

03/08/2025: Bar staff couldn't even pull a pint of Guinness, no interest in being there, roast of the day and fish and chips were good but burger meals were microscopic and expensive, won't be back far better and cheaper food and drink to be had elsewhere in Wicklow town 👎

08/06/2025: Terrible service as there was 15 of us coming to get breakfast. The blonde woman taken our order was very rude to us, particularly myself, as I wanted to order a chicken fillet roll with and the way she explained to me that I can only have 2 items instead of 3 items on a chicken fillet roll was unheard of. She was very unpleasant and it made it awkward for us. The rest of our orders came but mine. I waited patiently for 30 mins but nothing came. One of the family member asked one of the waitress if my order was taken, turned out it missed out after taking my order. Also 10% service charge was also charged to the bill as there was over 10 people. Certainly will not be coming here again as the old lady with glasses was terrifying rude.

01/06/2025: Definitely not what I thought it'd be. There were no descriptions to explain what came with a meal, geared more towards locals and frequenters. Food was just okay, nothing to write home about. The screaming child did not really help either with it being early in the morning. Staff was kind enough eventually.

17/07/2025: This spot is a really great tourist destination, it’s easy to get to, has decent food and pricing, and has a good view. You can either sit at a high top, booth, table, or the bar. It is indoor seating and the menu is short but tasty! The service was quick and the servers are friendly. I would definitely recommend to go with family or friends!😊
