15/01/2025: We had made a reservation at this lovely restaurant for our one night in Kenmare. We were seated on time upstairs , which was a quiet and cozy room with only a few tables. The wine selection was good and we had a wonderful meal, easily the best meal we had on our entire 10 days in Ireland. We started with the pear, pecan and blue cheese salad, a nice portion, easily split for two people with just the right amount of dressing. The Mancini balls with goat cheese were very tasty. Our meals were delicious , the hake with potatoes and leeks and the lamb ragu. All of it was outstanding. However, the service was terrible. Our waitress, Emily, was impatient and rude. We asked a few questions as it was our first time dining here and wanted a few moments to look at the menu. She rolled her eyes at us the first time and the second time when she returned with our water when we had a question about the wine. When we asked if we were bothering her, she said no but proceeded to ignore our table the rest of the evening , notably chatting and serving other tables nearby. We are not difficult patrons and are very engaging and gracious to those that work hard in restaurants. We didn't let it ruin our meal. Her lack of service was reflected in her lack of tip and we did speak to the manager on the way out when he asked us how our meal was. I would return because of the outstanding food, but ask for a different server.

12/01/2025: Number 35 is a true gem in Kenmare town. The Black Soul dish was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Neil, the head waiter, was incredibly knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations, enhancing the whole dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing evening. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and service!

06/01/2025: Esta es una pequeña joya de un restaurante / comida para llevar. Nuestra comida era absolutamente delicioso como siempre y el personal es muy amable y atento. Si estás en Kenmare, es una visita obligada.

25/10/2024: Una persona solo puede tomar tanta comida de pub en Irlanda y cuando descubrimos este restaurante tailandés en Kenmare, (siendo la comida tailandesa nuestra cocina favorita), aprovechamos la oportunidad para cenar aquí... La comida era absolutamente deliciosa, una de las mejores comidas tailandesas que he probado... El servicio era bueno, el servicio bueno, a un precio razonable, buena cerveza y vino también. . . Muy recomendable. . . Incluso le hice un cumplido al gerente (ess) de lo buena que estaba la comida y dije que hagas lo que hagas, no cambies. Ella agradeció mucho el cumplido.

19/01/2025: Mi esposa y yo llegamos a Kenmare para pasar una noche en Sheen Falls y decidimos conseguir algo de comida antes de ir al hotel. Ambos tuvimos el desayuno de sartén y sin duda uno de los mejores que hemos tenido! Excelente presentación y servicio también. ¡Muy recomendable!

19/01/2025: The food was very good. The meatloaf was pleasantly spicy with the delicious pepper sauce. My wife enjoyed her fish and chips as well as the chowder.

31/12/2024: Este fue el mejor filete ribeye que he probado en mi vida. Volví la noche siguiente y lo tuve de nuevo y fue igual de bueno. El café irlandés también es el mejor que he probado. Recomendaría 10 / 10!

05/01/2025: We had breakfast at the cafe, very delicious vegetarian and vegan options. Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere.

10/11/2024: Nice service, good vegan food, and short waiting time despite the large number of guests. A very nice place worth visiting and trying the dishes served. Even for meat fans. The location is also very nice. Close, but off the beaten path, which makes the place very quiet. The menu is so diverse that everyone will find something for themselves.

27/12/2024: My family and I have been coming to the Like Tree for YEARS. The best food in Kenmare. Absolutely delicious - chicken wings, Black sole / Shepards Pie and finish with crepes.

12/02/2025: I stayed in Kenmare Bay Hotel with a group of friends recently. We stayed in one of the lodges which is a stones throw from the hotel. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The lodges are spotless and so cosy, we felt so relaxed. The town is literally a short stroll from the hotel, where you have more restaurants, cafés and the most beautiful shops. Highly recommend a visit to this hotel. I'll be back again!

24/01/2025: Visited Casey’s at Christmas when I was in cork on a family break. We went with no reservation and they were very accommodating and gave us a seat straight away. The server was really nice and very helpful. The food was delicious and came very fast. The spring rolls were to die for and full of flavour. I will definitely visit again and would recommend.

01/01/2025: I went to the restaurant on New Year’s Eve 2024. It was recommended by friends of my parents. The food was delicious I was surprised. It was beautifully presented. The staff and atmosphere was great. It may have been a bit loud but the what do u upset on New Year’s Eve in a full restaurant. A great local stable I hope for long. If you’re a picky eater I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m not picky but I am a pescatarian but it had plenty of fish options too, even with the medium menu. The decor is nice and simple.

31/12/2024: We stayed above the restaurant for 2 nights and dined at the restaurant on NYE. The food is thoughtful and super delicious, the service was lovely, couldn’t have been more attentive. Altogether probably the best meal we have had in Ireland so far - the chef is clearly very talented. It was the most expensive meal of our trip through just to add so maybe save it for a treat. Rooms really clean, spacious, big comfy bed. Would recommend for sure! Thank you 🙂
