The best restaurants in Limerick

10/05/2025: Absolutely disgraceful experience. If I could give Zero stars I would. While at this pub today, my sister and I noticed a dog locked inside a hot car. We brought it to the attention of Eileen, the owner, who casually brushed it off with, “The dog is fine, the owner’s just having a drink.” No concern, no action, just an arrogant tone and complete disregard for animal welfare. Forty minutes later, with the dog still in the car my sister went outside to check on the dog. Eileen came over and asked me, “Where’s your friend?” (not realising we’re sisters). When I said she was outside, she immediately asked, “Is this about the dog?” I said yes and she snapped, “Tell her to stay out of it it’s none of her business.” She then went outside, raised her voice at my sister in front of other customers, and told her again to mind her own business. Her behaviour was loud, confrontational, and deeply unprofessional. It genuinely seemed like she had been drinking herself. On top of all this, Eileen defended the man who left the dog in the car who was also drink driving. She knowingly served alcohol to someone getting back behind the wheel, which is not just irresponsible, it’s illegal. Frankly, her liquor license should be reviewed or revoked. To make it even worse, this family-run pub has a clear pattern of racism. White men are greeted with warmth and smiles while men of colour are treated coldly and dismissively. This is completely unacceptable. Eileen's attitude was arrogant, aggressive, and shockingly unfit for someone running a public business. She showed no concern for animal welfare, the law, or basic decency. This is a toxic, unsafe environment please avoid it completely.

07/01/2025: Best craic , fantastic renovation, excellent bar staff and parking told by my visitor from eu they had the best served cold Guinness in ireland. Fantastic atmosphere here! . 5 🌟 highly recommend. Grainne Gillespie. Limerick city.

19/02/2025: Stopped in on my way from Tralee this evening. Just wanted to complement the young girl working behind the counter this evening. Very nice pleasant girl, thanks and a wave from her as I was leaving. Very rare these days!!

24/06/2025: Got a delivery from here tonite and wow super fast service, delivery was exceptional and phone was roasting when it arrived. Will be ordering again! Well done

20/06/2025: Lovely food. Great vegetarian and vegan options. I had the tofu spice bag. The blonde waitress with the tattoos was lovely, incredibly helpful and friendly.

23/06/2025: Food always good , never had any issue , guys taking food orders need to get a serious refreshment on customer service skills, 4 times I had to tell the I wanted stuffed crust on my pizza and still forgot it when repeating back the order , when I enquired about making an adjustment to my meal that was available on just eat over the phone the response I got was “order on just eat then” which I thought was very unprofessional. If you are not happy with taking orders please look at a different profession. :)

13/07/2025: shouted at by staff for asking to use the bathroom as a paying customer. Incredibly rude staff warned to leave the facilities as i found them that staff weren’t willing to clean them again.

15/05/2025: This Restaurant is exactly what we needed. Great food: free crab chips, free fortune cookies and free jug of water. The ordered food was absolutely scrumptious! Very kind service!

27/03/2025: The experience was neither great nor terrible. The food was served hot but was overly salty. The cheese spring rolls stood out they were excellent. The restaurant has a local Chinese feel but is somewhat outdated. Service was pleasant, with a friendly server. However, the music was excessively loud, almost overwhelming. One notable concern was the pricing of canned Coke. The restaurant charges a premium while also benefiting from Ireland’s recycling scheme, effectively making extra profit beyond the listed price.

23/05/2025: Food was good. The seating area was very cold due to both front doors being left open due to the closing mechanism on them. The clean up staff were constantly closing them to try to keep out the cold.

25/03/2025: Sunday lunch.... I went with my 7 year old son. The food is really poor quality,prices high and the service was awful shocking. The waiters told us to wait for a minute to get the kids menu and after a long 12 min I asked them about it . The menu wasn't printed yet! They have very little options for the kids , anyway so we ordered chicken goujons with chips and seafood chowder for me. I can safely say it was unpleasant! My son got 4 chicken nuggets instead of the coujons and very tiny portion of chips. The chowder was so watery and small , absolutely no seafood and I got one piece of bread and 1 butter in the same plate as the chowder. My son went to the waiters to asked them for more bread and they gave him one slice with 2 butters. I didn't complain at the frist time when I was asked by a meber of the staff (he was a supervisor on duty ) but when one the waiter back and asked us for dessert of something else my son was in the bathroom, I explained to her the food wasn't nice, the portions are extremely small,very price for 4 chicken nuggets,there weren't chicken goujons and I really was very reluctant to order anything else because of the poor quality and quantity of the food. Suddenly a guy came across with an attitude was nothing short of ignorant, arrogant, and completely rude . He was blaming me because I didn't tell him the food wasn't nice when he asked us. In fact he was so overreacting in front of the staff and my 7 year old boy as he was back already from the toilet. This guy is far from suitable for front house of a restaurant / and have no idea how to treat costumers. He needs a especial anger management and customer service training course asap. The personel in the restaurant completely ignore us and I have to go myself to find someone to pay the bill. We left the place and I left an complaint to the the senior manager who was Anthony. Very disappointing experience.

25/04/2025: This pub should be avoided at all costs. While the pints are cheap, it is not worth visiting. Anyone giving this place 5 stars needs to get their head checked. Open drug use in the toilets and the whole pub is filthy. I even won't describe how dirty the bathroom is...
