24/05/2026: The courier was delivering sushi in the sun with no special packaging — and sushi has raw fish in it. No cooling bag, nothing. The raw fish smells strongly, the sushi is falling apart, and it looks like it was made in unsanitary home conditions rather than in a restaurant

10/05/2026: Went for a quick lunch on 3 separate occasions in between swim competition sessions. The line was very long, 2 ppl behind the counter, extremely long wait times until you order at the counter and you cannot order food unless you know your table number? Wait times for for food extremely long. For some reason pizza option stopped being available at the moment it was my turn to order despite the ppl before me ordering 2 pizzas. Only positives the food is OK and prices are reasonable.

25/04/2026: We had a really disappointing experience here on a Saturday during the day. There were six of us, and we were refused teas and coffees etc. solely because we had a child with us. What made it worse was that there was another table right beside us with a young teenager, so the reasoning didn’t add up at all. It felt completely inconsistent and unfair. For a place that’s open during the day, you’d expect a more welcoming and reasonable approach. Safe to say none of us will be returning.

03/04/2026: What a horrible judgemental owner. I walked into this pub tonight looking a bit worse for wear due to the weather and my outdoor clothing but I was very polite and the owner spoke to me like I was the gum on his shoe. I clearly was not the clientele he desired in his pub. I asked him why he asked me to leave and he told me he did not need to give an answer and to not come back. He then proceeded to escort me to the door. I then went to Collin's bar where I was welcomed , had warm conversations and had such great craic without judgement.

13/05/2026: Absolutely would not go here again. Tried to bring my nephew as a birthday treat on a Wednesday evening and was told that children were not allowed in after 6pm. There was nothing on the website or signage inside to say this which left me with a very disappointed child.

15/02/2026: Visited level up at the weekend with high expectations. Went around 2pm which is the 'family friendly hours'. Staff service and food/drinks are great but the majority of the machines were out of order. The claw machines are completely rigged to lose and there was a pitiful quality and amount of teddies to be won anyway. Two of the three pool tables were taken up by couples who hogged the tables and just kept playing game after game. When I asked the couple who'd been there the longest how many more games they would be playing, one of them just shrugged their shoulders and smiled and said 'i don't know'. There should be a limit to the amount of consecutive games that can be played during family hours. What was supposed to be a fun afternoon ended in a waste of money and left an excited teenager deflated.

20/06/2026: Had a headache all day. Took everything going and nothing worked. Rang them up and ordered a chicken noodle soup for under a fiver and now I'm cured. They know what they're doing! Lovely people as well ❤️🇭🇰❤️

14/04/2026: The food isn't worth the price. The place is very old and needs renovation, and there's an off-putting smell upon entry. The tiramisu is half-frozen. The service is great.

11/12/2025: The Jack MC is easily one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in Ireland. The quality of the ingredients is top notch and the fries are excellent! I would highly recommend the Locke Burger.
