24/08/2025: Fantastic service and banter with Anthony at the bar. Superb service and have to say Anthony was the friendliest and most accommodating bartender I have come across in a long while.

04/11/2025: I was very disappointed when I went here because I cannot consume MSG. Their menu was not available online so I went there and literally every item including mixed vegetables and soup has MSG. Had to go elsewhere

28/10/2025: This has to have been the nicest Chinese I have got in years. It was absolutely freezing when we walked in & the woman immediately turned on the heating. Spring roll filled with fresh veg & plenty of different meats ( I wasn’t a fan of prawns in it but this is just a preference). Sweet & sour chicken. My goodness! Rich rich sauce, chunky & fresh veg and the chicken was moist & luscious. Rice, chips & noodles were all just delicious. I cannot fault this place. My first time being here. I will be sure to come back! The lady waitress was fabulous. So friendly & accommodating. Reasonable pricing

05/10/2025: The Alt Pastor Tacos with Chipotle Sour Cream was the best and most flavourful vegan dish I've had at a fast food restaurant. It was actually spicy! I loved it. The store was extremely busy so coming in prepared is recommended.

30/09/2025: Probably the saddest nachos I've ever had. Served like in a plate resembling the American prison food you see in the tuff movies. Tasted accordingly

03/05/2025: I have passed by Sunflower Bakery a few times in the past and, today, I found out it was to my detrimental coz the food is fabulous. I bought a Rhubarb With Crunchy Crumble topping & a Hazelnut sauce, chocolate éclair. Both were atrociously delicious..., Manna from haven

04/04/2025: Compared with other "bakeries" around, hands down the best in the area! Real sourdough, scrumptious pastries like croissants with different fillings, to die for! Delicious and made from really good ingredients!

25/10/2025: We bought two buns today and the wrapper slipped while she was picking up the second one so the girl put it into the box with her bare hands. Then same girl went on about doing her best not to squash it so "we wouldn't be back giving out". Worth going back over basic health and safety with staff. Buns tasted stale

04/10/2025: A great Irish pub in Adare. We were looking for music and a little nosh, which they don't really have, especially on weekdays. They do have music on weekends tho; however, it isn't a dining place. It is a bar, but a very clean open, comfortable space. Big Al took care of us - made a couple calls and got great Irish music...later a woman with a harp came by and joined our little trio of gentlemen! We had 24 people in our group on a golf birthday trip. Al was able to get a few platters of bar food (chicken, sausages, and fries), even though he said we could bring in food ourselves. The place was packed with our crew along with other locals and travellers. Big Al (he is very tall!) was taking care of everyone so graciously and easily. It was a perfect celebration to finish our 10 day trip..our group left the next day. If you have a chance to visit, say hello to Big Al with gratitude from the Americans!

22/08/2025: Beer was good but too much noise

15/10/2025: I get a Coffee from here usually once a week, either an oat cappuccino or an oat flat white. I’ve noticed that the coffee can differ in taste quite a lot, depending on who’s making it! I’ve had great coffees and ok ones. Today, I got an oat flat white and it was so bad, I had to throw it away! 🫣 I wanted to go back and tell them but unfortunately, I didn’t have time. So disappointed after spending €4 on it. I’ll have to see who’s serving the next time! 🤷🏻‍♀️

24/06/2025: Unfortunately, I can’t recommend working with Barry Flavin. He has owed us payment for over 12 months and, despite more than 20 emails and over 50 calls, we’ve received no resolution. He repeatedly promised to pay and never followed through. As a small business, we rely on fair and timely payments to keep our team running — this kind of treatment is not acceptable. Be cautious in any business dealings. We are now pursuing legal action to recover the amount owed.

25/09/2025: Last week I went and got chicken black bean sauce with rice and sweat and sour chicken. It was absolutely amazing it cost almost 40 euros and for that 40 euros they were able to go to the Sahara desert and get the diarrhea of a Ethiopia marathon runner who survived on curry and Bulmers cider since birth. They then put it into a box, managed to get it back to Castletroy and sell it to me for the bargain price of almost 15 euros.

14/09/2025: Got can of coke for 2.50 coke was flat and bearly cold imported from whatever country watch out getting drinks there :/

23/08/2025: No idea why people rave about this place. It was very busy at the time I was there, so I didn't mind queuing for the 10 minutes. Although the system was terrible, (they had to stop taking orders as they ran out of buzzers to give out, so when you reached the front of the queue you had to wait until a buzzer came back - woeful setup but anyway), I eventually ordered two acai bowls, with nutella, and one with no banana. 40 minutes passed, I went back up and asked if there was an issue, as I thought my order had been forgotten. I was told that they had to find somone to make them (???). I obviously didn't look too impressed, so I was offered a free slice of cake, which I gracefully accepted. After another 10 minutes, my buzzer went off, and I went to collect. Both bowls had banana, and both were covered in peanut butter, not nutella. At this point I was so sick of waiting, I just handed the bowls, and the free cake, back and asked for a refund, which they gave me no problem. Very disappointed that I wasted so much time, the way the place is set up is completely to blame. Once it gets busy, it's a nightmare. 2 stars as we had eaten here the night before, and the food was fine, but extremely expensive.

31/07/2025: A glorified take away. Food was overpriced and underwhelming. The place lacked any atmosphere.

10/08/2025: Simply the best Chinese for miles around. The ribs are stunning like everything else. Don’t try the rest because this is the best. Simon

16/09/2025: The waiter was wiping his nose on his hands and handled a handful of cheese for my friends chips straight after we were like omg He was then handling his snotty tissues and just put it back in his pocket and kept on what he was doing didn’t even use hand sanitizer And the front staff including the waiter just mentioned were so sour couldn’t even get a smile out of them despite us being polite to them

13/09/2025: Better coffee than previously. Prices are also more reasonable, compared to its period as an Eddie Rockets franchise. Long narrow layout, better mask wearing by staff (none when I visited) would be good.
