The best restaurants in Limerick

24/03/2025: The food is delicious. The employees are nice. Very very dirty. The toilet is also very messy. It is not very pleasant to clean in such a dirty environment. The advantage is that the pizzas are great.

20/03/2025: If I were in ikea, I could understand to make my own kebab from scratch but home delivery? Bearly any meat and salad. Fries were good.

13/03/2025: Had a hernia repair on my stomach. The doctors did a great job and the nurses was top notch. One nurse saw I was nervous and calmed me down, talking to me about travel etc. They were just absolutely amazing. Can't thank them enough.

23/02/2025: Went in with a completely busted shoulder and was sent home in a sling to wait 10 days for a follow up appointment at UHL , had a fractured elbow at the same time and they never X rayed it. The surgeon said I should have been put in an ambulance and sent for surgery right away 😡

30/03/2025: This is really a fun place and if you don’t have a lot of money, you can actually go there and play board games for free. All age groups were there.

11/01/2025: Can't believe this bar is still here I'm from Killarney but worked in limerick city around the corner from this bar that was in the eighties one man ran it that time, real gentleman he used to cash our cheques every Thursday, would really love to call there again it hasn't changed since I was in there last.

15/03/2025: 16 minutes ago New I came to visit limerick for two days and was a bit peckish so dropped by to wok to go. Took a large spice bag to go but started eating it at the restaurant. Then I noticed you get the large spice bag and a drink for 9.7 or something. So I sent my husband to get the drink. We paid €12 for the spice bag and the curry sauce. This Asian woman at the counter initially gave him the drink and then literally took it back saying she can’t give it as we wanted takeaway and it’s only for people who’d eat at the restaurant. 😂 I found this really weird. It’s such a simple thing like why would you do behave like that with a customer over a drink. I was excited to find a place that serve decent Asian food but if you treat customers like then maybe people should skip it.

05/12/2024: Professors were unprofessional and unqualified. Most of them did not provide any marks throughout the semester, I would think I’ve handed everything in and haven’t heard anything so I must be doing okay but then get a terrible grade at the end of the semester. They assigned completely pointless, time consuming assignments that were a waste of time. It seemed like they were just making the grades up based on what they thought of students. Gerald O’Farrell was the most arrogant and worst teacher I’ve had and should not be employed in education. I studied here for a year as an international student in 2022. It was over crowded to say the least. Parking is a disaster and living close enough to not need it is very difficult as they don’t have actual residences for students. The gym was the worst gym I’ve seen in an institution of this size, it reminded me of a high school weight room expect they charge students to use the gym on top of tuition. As an international student many of the professors would discriminate and make jokes about us attending and not share the necessary information for us to properly complete assignments while they ensured the local students had what they needed. These points were brought up with the department heads, Tony Mahon and others at the time, by me and other international students but they literally laughed at us and said that “they aren’t going to change the Irish education system for us” and to “get on with it” Choose another place to study.

07/10/2024: About to graduate and have a lot to say about the place. TUS Moylish or LIT is about as disorganised as it gets. It is extremely overcrowded. It's facilities are lacklustre. I was a class representative for my course for multiple years. I had to email many many times about lectures being unclear on assignments, lectures not doing their jobs to correct standards, and at times being vindictive towards classmates of mine. I am dyslexic, and the disability support within this college is poor and disorganised. Often times I was only contacted days before exams to ask about what I require, resulting in mistakes and non ideal solutions. In forth year I was forced to do my exam in a room separate from my classmates despite emailing and asking many times to do it in the normal lecture hall alongside the rest of my course. These emails never got answered. That leads me onto the inability to contact anyone at the college office by phone, normally being put on hold indefinitely. This is during normal working hours, not during lunch. The college parking is extraordinarily inadequate, to the point where if you don't arrive at least 40 minutes early, all the spaces will be taken. This is also true for the canteen, where seating is full throughout lunchtime with no alternative areas to sit. If you have severe asthma you may want to look elsewhere too as every entrance and exit will have smokers constantly, making entering the college suffocating. There have also been plenty of cases of individuals vaping inside the lecture halls and labs with no repercussions. We are planned to have a graduation at the end of this month, but no information as been emailed to us, leading us to have to email many times for any form of answers. Most of my classmates have began work and need to know what days to book off in advance, yet TUS has no urgency in letting us know when to book. I would like to add there are some amazing lectures too, and I wish them the best. They were what got us through the college experience. But I can't recommend TUS in it's current state. Here's hoping they improve eventually. TLDR: This college has issues at so many levels, I recommend looking elsewhere before getting stuck for 4+ years.

01/04/2025: The burger was okay—nothing special but not bad. Fries were average, and the service was just fine. The place was clean but lacked a welcoming atmosphere. Decent for a quick bite, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way for.

07/03/2025: Bean a Tí Bakehouse & Café for the first time and had a lovely experience. I bought a coffee, a loaf of bread, and a cheesecake. The place is very clean, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The coffee tasted great, but since I was new, I didn’t realize the milk was already on the table, and the staff forgot to mention it — a small detail, but worth noting for first-time visitors. Overall, the customer service was friendly, and everything I tried tasted really good. I would definitely visit again!

25/01/2025: I visited Bean a Tí Bakehouse and Café, Limerick and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. While the cakes looked beautiful, I was let down by the customer service. The staff didn’t seem very welcoming (specifically, an older lady with short grey hair) and I felt like she wasn't attentive to my needs. I was trying to ask about the cakes, but she pretended not to understand what I was asking, even though I clearly knew the name of the cake. I noticed other customers have also had issues with the same staff member, please see the reviews below. It’s essential to employ people who want to work there and are committed to making customers feel valued. Disappointing experience overall. I strongly believe it's in the best interest of the business to consider replacing her, as customer service should be a priority. It was also frustrating that the cakes weren’t properly labeled. Given the many competitors in the area offering better service, I hope Bean a Tí Bakehouse and Café takes steps to improve their customer service! I won’t be returning.
