12/06/2025: Just had a wonderful dining experience at the East Room. We were celebrating a graduation and decided to splurge on a fine meal. No better place to spoil a smart graduate. Picky GF diner was most happy with her options.

22/06/2025: Had an amazing meal at The Curragower Bar and Kitchen — this place seriously hits the spot. It's right by the river with views of King John's Castle (major bonus), and the vibe is just chill and welcoming. The food? Unreal. Tried a few vegetarian options and was genuinely impressed. The Eden Burger is packed with flavour, the risotto is creamy and comforting, and the summer salad is super fresh and zingy — perfect on a warm day. And don’t even get me started on the sticky toffee pudding... rich, gooey, and absolutely lip-smacking. You need to save room for it. Parking can be a little hit or miss since it’s close to the city centre — give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot, especially during busy times. All in all, great food, lovely staff, and one of the nicest spots in Limerick to kick back with a pint or a proper meal. Highly recommend!

05/07/2025: Food was amazing! Had the steak. Cooked medium rare perfectly. Big group and everyone enjoyed the evening. The staff are very experienced and the meal went flawlessly.

02/07/2025: I visited this restaurant recently and was disappointed by the poor service experience. While the food was fine, the service I received felt unfair and inconsiderate. Our table had several empty plates for quite a while, and unlike nearby tables that were promptly cleared without needing to ask, no one came to clean ours until I specifically called a staff member over. What made this more upsetting was that those other tables received attentive service without asking, while we were clearly ignored — despite being polite and respectful. As a customer, I expect to be treated equally, regardless of how I look or who I am with. This experience left me feeling unwelcome. I hope the restaurant reflects on how they treat all guests and makes their service more consistent and respectful.

07/05/2025: This is a cool little spot with great coffee and a chill vibe. Perfect place to grab a coffee or a quick bite to eat. The lunch was amazing

23/05/2025: This take out restaurant was fantastic!! Food made with love, by amazing women, that was DELICIOUS!!! We stumbled on Luigi's looking for a lunch out of the train station and what a find. I decided to get the chicken nugget box. It came with lots of yummy fries (chips), a delicious onion ring, and yummy, satisfying nuggets. The food was fresh, quick, and yummy. The women working there were amazing! Fun! and took their work seriously providing a great product, at a very reasonable price. Such a great find!

23/05/2025: Absolutely love the cheery atmosphere of this place. FFF (Friendly fast food) = Great memories. Close to the train station. Right across the street. Fresh chips that are made specifically to order. Hot and made to order. Yum. Seriously. You must try this place.

17/06/2025: Very cute. OG hipster vibe (in a good way). They had a chair my granny used to have in her house so I made myself very cosy. The staff seem to have a great relationship with customers and were lovely

08/05/2025: Amazing music, only a 15 minute wait when they were short of staff and I ordered a feast, also the service was so stellar! Doublechecked the order, made sure I got everything, and threw in an order of plantains for free. The food was piping hot all the way home and packaged so well, everyting was wrapped up to not spill. The food is as authentic as it gets! The proper amount of spice and all! Very reasonable prices as well! The portions are quite large!

22/06/2025: We stopped in on the warmest day of the year to grab a pint and cool off for a bit while checking out Limerick. Rob our bartender greeted us warmly and took great care of us while we enjoyed our drinks. Rob chatted with us while we drank and we enjoyed the conversation. He shared some history of the bar and provided us some wonderful recommendations for local shops and dining. Do yourself a favor if you’re in Limerick and visit Ma Hogans to grab a pint and a chat. Say hello to Rob for us!

30/05/2025: This was fun, and the barman couldn't have been more adorable (and he helped me fix my Gaelge!) We sat out front and people-watched, and there was certainly plenty to watch! The Guinness was great, too!

28/05/2025: A great pub! There's a great atmosphere and the burgers are good. However, it's unfortunate for foreigners to come and try local beers and end up with a Heineken on the waiter's choice!! Also, if you're ever a little thirsty, as they say, don't ask for water because you'll have to pay for it no matter what! It's a real shame because the pub is nice and well-located if you want to visit King John's Castle.

04/06/2025: Some of the nicest coffee in limerick. Great place to meet people or to relax at break/lunchtime. Staff very attentive.

26/05/2025: Incredible place. The best coffee and food I have ever had at a cafe in my 19 years of living . Brilliant staff especially the young man who served me coffee (I think his name is Louis but I’m not sure) but everyone working there is incredible as-well. Probably one of the best cafes in Europe and that’s an understatement. When I’m in the cafe I feel as though I am in Saint Denis that’s how good the atmosphere is.

10/06/2025: Horrible experience here Friday 6th of June. 30 of us booked from cork weeks in advance via email for 9.30pm. 2 of our group had arrived and tables were set up with our name all set for a great evening. Me and 2 more of our group were the next to arrive and the bouncers immediately said “not tonight lads” before we had opened our mouths. I repeatedly explained we had paid 100€ booking deposit and had many emails booking our event. The bouncers repeatedly tapped the sign on the door saying management can refuse the right to entry to anyone. I calmly and repeatedly asked for a reason and I got none. They didn’t say too drunk, they just didn’t give a reason. The event was booked for the beginning of my stag. I was wearing normal going out clothes but I had a rainbow captains armband on my arm for a bit of a laugh for the stag. Unless there is some sort of homophobic element to being turned away, we could not fathom a reason. I asked for a manager and one man appeared and did the same tapping of the sign the previous bouncer had done. I once again explained that my booking deposit was taken of 100€, I explained that we had bookings and emails. 2 members of our group already inside had sent pictures of the tables with our names on them and he would not give me a reason for refusal. When I asked the manager for his name as I said I would be emailing he said his name was “Jerry flannery” to which the other 2 bouncers laughed hard at indicating that he was not Jerry Flannery the owner of the pub. A quick google search showed his real name is Will Morgan. I will admit after travelling for 2 hours and having my event ruined I passed a comment about their parents being proud of 3 men in their 40s turning away a pre booked party for 40 in an otherwise empty pub. I also mentioned I would be sending an email and doing a review to which Will just laughed and once again tapped the sign. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful carry on from the bouncers and “management”. I hope the real Jerry sees this and realises his management and bouncers have a great laugh of turning away €1,500 worth of spending that the group of 30 of us spent down the road at Charlie Chaplins down the road who were happy to take us and save the night with no trouble at all. Feel free to check in with Eddie in Charlie Chaplins the bouncer who has much more accommodating with our stag group despite us not having booked at all or paid a deposit.
