The best restaurants in Louth

05/07/2025: Nice, small, friendly club, more interested in sailing than posing . Quiet spot, away from the tourists and daytrippers but the pubs, chipper, restaurant and supermarket a 5 to 10 minute walk. No onsite restaurant any more, sadly.

01/09/2025: I ordered a large spice box, it was very salty and couldn't be eaten. Chips was also hard and food tasted like leftover food from yesterday. I called and staff was very rude and wouldn't even allow me talk suggesting I wanted free food when I haven't even asked for free food. I would avoid going here or ordering food from them again.

26/05/2025: Arranged a Sunday lunch visit for four family members including a 90 year old who ordered the lamb which was "extra". Two of us had Turkey and Ham and one had a burger. The lamb was tough and clearly wasn't fresh but the worst was a side of cabbage which was so obviously off and had been masked with some kind of cream and peas added in. I told the waiter who said he would "let the kitchen know". Sid anyone speak to us about it? No. Did we get a reduction in bill? No. Will we be back? No.

06/07/2024: Amazing restaurant with amazing fresh wholesome food. Well worth the drive from Dublin. We should all be supporting our small local business working hard especially when they serve food like that ❤

30/06/2024: After a very successful lunch on a whim, we booked and came back for an evening meal to celebrate our anniversary. I am so happy we did, and will make the same booking next year. The food is outstanding. It seems there is generally a meat dish, a fish dish, and a vegetarian dish to choose from with sides that are in season. Staff are super friendly and full of advice. The wine is reasonably priced and served at the correct temperature. It's a great spot for couples, but they also cater to larger groups. I would not say the experience is expensive, but it's not cheap either. However, you definitely get what you pay for! Because the menu changes every fortnight, this is a place you can visit again and again and be consistently both surprised and satisfied. My new favourite restaurant.

17/08/2024: Brilliant service. Staff were amazing! Food was 5 star and my steak was cooked to perfection! The pepper sauce is to die for and I can’t wait to get home and give it a try making it. I won’t have my pepper sauce any other way. Will definitely be back! Thank you.

09/06/2024: I still can’t work out how the food, service and atmosphere could all be so poor. It was so bad, in a way it was a fun night because it was comical. The worst meal I have ever had.

THIS was UNREAL!!!! i couldnt wait to dig in couldnt even get a photo of the food i inhaled it no chewing needed the chucken was that soft everything was nicely coated with a layer if curry i was delivered this by a young gentleman by the name of sizzles i always thought that he worked for new world he actually came to my house and picked me up before getting the food he said “ ill deliver u to the food” what a sweet man<3
