The best restaurants in Mayo

08/08/2024: Food was excellent and so was the service . Will definitely go back there and now we know also that we can order online and just pick up the food .

12/07/2025: We called in here for tea while in the town. Service was good and friendly. The tea and snacks were nice. Good quality.

31/05/2025: Very nice atmospheric cafe, service at the highest level, the kitchen is very clean, everything is fresh and tasty, perfect for breakfast or lunch, the service was fast, and finally, the coffee is simply incredibly delicious

15/08/2024: Garlic bread as a starter: cheese supplement: €1. I'll order it without cheese. "But are you sure? Because it's really dry without cheese..." "I'm not a fan of cheese." "What if it's really not strong? Because it's really dry without..." Anyway, I ordered it without. But damn, it was dry because there was no dressing in the accompanying salad! Vinaigrette? Or is just oil too much to ask? I ordered a main course next. I waited for someone to clear my order to find out about desserts... No one came in 10 minutes! I left.

17/02/2026: This place is really special and so well run. The owner Linda and her sister Helena treated us like their family coming into their living room. Great music on friday and saturday night. Was in there again sunday waiting for a taxi and they wouldn't charge my friend and I for tea and coffee. This is the best of old Ireland, great to see our heritage and culture kept alive. Katie L.

03/08/2025: -a truly fantastic breakfast&coffee but the real stars of the show are the staff. Wonderful special mother daughter team who made us feel so welcome. Would happily eat breakfast here everyday for the rest of time. Class

27/06/2025: Very charming café, super friendly and welcoming staff who let us bring our dog inside. Delicious sandwiches, especially the tuna melt! 👌

30/11/2024: Changed the wrong tyres with good tread left on them, went back again and asked him if the road was okay after the snowstorm and he said its perfect. Went up there and it was completely flooded, all the snow melted and it looked like a water stream pumping down, got half way before I realized and pulled into the neighbours house. Me and another guy had to turn around cause the water was bumper height and it was only getting worse. Risked my car and my safety just to get a few euro.
