14/05/2025: This is a proper Ballina pub, cosy, as pubs were when I was younger. Great Guinness, poured perfectly, not too cold.
Nice folks in there of an older outlook but engaging and friendly.
Derek and his wife are no nonsense decent people.
08/04/2025: I'm a hard working Irish man working a job that the majority of Irish people refuse to work in and that is the care of elderly in nursing homes for many years. I arrived to Ballina for the night after sightseeing the Mayo coast. Without having previously taken a drink of alcohol I was refused service at this pub saying "I had too much to drink tonight". The real reason was my Limerick accent and what one local barman said to me. He believed me to be belonging to an "ethnic minority" which means to us Irish as the Travelling Community. And so what if I was!? I have been up and down my country of Ireland and as a middle aged man I have never experienced any type of discrimination before. Close minded bigots.

Four Season's, menu
Knock
29/05/2025: When we were on our pilgrimage trip to Knock, we stayed very close by to Knock House Hotel. We stayed for a week. We were visiting Our Lady Of Knock/Basilica. During our stay, we regularly had our evening meals at The Courtyard Restaurant. Often, we were served by Sami.
We found him very welcoming. He quickly found us a table to be seated down even during the busy hours. Sami & the staff were very happy & helpful in attending to our menu orders daily.
Sami stands high in our esteem.
Visiting & having our evening meals at The Courtyard Restaurant has made our dining experience a happy one. The evening meals were delicious in taste.

07/04/2025: This is situated in the Knock House Hotel which is a 3 star hotel. The seafood chowder was not just excellent but excellent value as well. Attentive and friendly staff. Very quiet while we were there as ot was well after lunchtime.

19/11/2024: Food was lovely as usual, service was good, but once 8.20pm came, we felt like we had to leave, staff started cleaning up & setting the place for breakfast, mostly residential people there, I just felt pushed out.
13/10/2024: We dined in Porto’s for a birthday meal and we have a lovely time, the food was lovely. We had a very kind waitress, Hattie, she was extremely helpful and attentive
