29/08/2026: Cashew Beef was red (undercooked), just lightly seared. Chicken curry chunks were pink inside (undercooked). Chilli chicken was rubbery, very tough. Gross. Never ordering here again

28/02/2026: Can't thank the man at the Westport train station today enough, for the most wonderful experience for my two sons first trip on the train... he was absolutely amazing with my boys and made them feel so special gifting them with Irish Rail certificates and train hats they were thrilled and really made my sons 3rd birthday ever so special,I didn't get this man's name but I hope he see's this as I can't thank him enough very thankful for such a great experience 🙏

05/05/2026: Called here, for the Trad session and was very impressed, so nice to see all the young .musicians practicing for the up and coming Flagh, good luck Castlebar, the main musicians were great, and the dancers, what a memorable evening, we will go back.👍

The Guinness is exceptional, easily among the best you’ll find anywhere, poured with real care and consistency. Add in the friendly service, the family-run feel, and the traditional music nights, and you’ve got a pub that captures the true spirit of the west of Ireland. If you’re visiting Castlebar and want a proper pint in a proper pub, this is an absolute must stop!
