24/07/2025: For many years we have celebrated our family birthdays and anniversaries here and have by and large enjoyed most of these special occasions. However, just recently we went there for our son’s birthday and even though we are known there as regular customers who have often brought large groups there, the level of miserliness extended to us has declined even worse than usual. While the food was good I found it unacceptable that my son and daughter who had noodles INSTEAD of rice were charged an extra €3 each whereas if they had rice that would have been included. That being the case, the rice could have been left at the table anyway as my wife and I could both have eaten more rice than we were given. The ice cream is one miserly scoop and when I asked for an extra coffee I was charged €3.75. In the interests of good customer relations and in view of the large bill amount one would have thought that the extra cup of coffee (instant coffee!) could have been offered complimentary. Everything here is dolls house portions, the prawn crackers, the rice, the ice cream (the type one can buy a four litre tub of up the road in Aldi for €3.99) even the milk accompanying the tea & coffee……all minuscule. I think we’re going to be looking for an alternative which after 20 years is rather unfortunate but we just don’t feel appreciated in this place run by people who would appear to have the DNA of Silas Marner.

10/06/2025: Thai Yummy Chinese Takeaway is a fantastic local spot for delicious food at great value! The portions are generous, the flavors are spot on, and everything is always freshly prepared. Whether you’re craving Thai or Chinese dishes, they have a great variety to choose from, and it’s consistently tasty. The staff are friendly and efficient, and orders are always ready on time. It’s our go-to for a quick, satisfying takeaway that doesn’t break the bank. Highly recommended if you’re looking for quality food at a reasonable price!

04/08/2025: We had a brilliant family day out at Leisuredome in Ashbourne. The kids really loved the laser tag, bowling, soft play, and arcade. Plenty to keep them busy and burn off energy! The whole place was really clean, spacious and not too loud and the food and coffee were genuinely good, much better quality than you’d usually find at family entertainment centres. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and a lovely addition to our holiday. Highly recommend!

01/08/2025: Another review rating, this is actually My mum's child. this was actually the best place I usually come with my best friend every Month/3 Weaks. The food was very good, they have Milkshake, ice cream, Pizza, French Fries and coffee. The soft play was the favourite in the world, nothing beats a good play club. This is actually my favouritethis is actually my number one favourite place, but unfortunately, it said the place is closing down soon, Which is sad.

21/07/2025: Ordered the Venezia pizza, it was soggy - clearly undercooked. They got the toppings all wrong, it comes with salami but they put some nasty thick sausage on it instead, and cubed white onion (should have been thin sliced red onion) it was disgusting. The chicken tenders are poor quality, they're very small and chewy.

01/07/2025: Very bad. We ordered a pizza yesterday around 7pm, after 2 hours of waiting we tried to call. No answer. So we wrote an email. Today we received a phone call with an apology that their system went down, but that they cannot return the money (€30), but we have a voucher worth €15 for the next order 🤣🤣 We will never order from them again. They can keep the voucher.

12/08/2025: During a super busy breakfast rush I brought in my Elderly Mother after the Blessing Of The Graves, What i witnessed was the worst I ever experienced or saw in a restaurant all my life. Filthy, dangerous, and run by the rudest owner I’ve ever met. I stood there watching the chef hack up raw meat right beside fresh veg on the same board NO cleaning at all. That’s how people end up with food poisoning. The owner with black hair was just as bad rude, cold, and made me feel like I was a nuisance for even being there. I genuinely felt sorry for the young waiters, who looked overworked, stressed, and scared to make a mistake. Between the disgusting food handling, the toxic attitude, and the awful atmosphere, this place should be shut down.

26/07/2025: Got a takeaway delivered, very friendly delivery person, food was delicious, will order again .

07/07/2025: Asked for spicy chips and the seafood platter, literally only 5 chips in the bag had seasoning on it while the rest of the chips were bland. Sea food platter was tasteless mushy batter with again no seasoning, It's like it's illegal to season food in this restraunt. If im paying over 30 euros for food I excpect my food to be seasoned!
