09/12/2024: Very good quality and excellent service

09/09/2024: I both stayed here and enjoyed dinner and a few beers in their restaurant. The inn is great, I had a room in the back courtyard and it was full of amenities, washer, refrigerator, sink kitchen setup. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Food at the restaurant was fantastic, highly recommend the carbonara. Great location if you are going to see Bru Na Boinne or Newgrange. Also great spot if you are looking for a non touristy traditional Irish pub! Was only 40 minutes to the Dublin Airport, 10 minutes to the highway.

14/02/2025: Used to be my favourite food place in town for years. Food was lovely. How ever purchased a burger a few days ago and there was 2 short brown hairs in it, couldn’t finish any of the other food I bought because I was overall disgusted.

15/01/2025: I've been in twice, bought something small 1st time decided to go back and spent €50 for a family treat, I thought the woman serving me was ill mannered and unfriendly, almost sensed she purposely misheard my order 3 times. The chips on this occasion should never had made my bag as they were burnt scratchings and lots of them. We threw most in the bin. I would not recommend due to girls attitude behind the counter. Something not nice going on behind those eyes.

03/01/2025: First time here, so thought id grab a coffee, cappuccino always love trying new coffee spots and finding the perfect one. Has good flavour but i do like it alittle more stronger but was good.

19/07/2024: We stopped here at the end of our tour of Bru na Boinne. We had seen a sign for their 'award-winning raspberry scones' and had to try them. They were incredible with fresh jam & butter. Our family also got the roast vegetable soup which they said was the best soup they ate in our entire time in Ireland! They had a variety of sandwiches, baked goods, teas & coffee. A perfect way to end the tour!

18/03/2025: Absolutely disgusting took over hour to deliver they said 30-40 minutes than food came freezing than they sent me fresh food and it Was thrown together absolutely horrible chicken horrible chips once again freezing and noodles were terrible this used to be a lovely Chinese gone down hill so much won’t be ordering again was not eating

17/03/2025: Overall, it's a lovely place to visit and meet friends. Always enjoy my visit here. I feel that this place and many more fail young Mam's and Dad's when it comes to highchairs. They are provide the chair but not always fit for use. They can be very dirty and as they are hard plastic they are sometimes cracked. These chairs are easy to keep clean as they can be washed/hosed down. They should be checked daily and replaced often. They are not expensive. I'm a grandmother and mind my beautiful granddaughter so I speak from experience. It would be beyond upsetting if she got hurt. We have started to bring our own booster to avoid having to use the restaurant chairs, she is 14 months so it's possible to keep her safe and part of the experience.

13/03/2025: Myself and partner went there for breakfast this morning considering the doors open at 10am we were there for 10.10am. Normally I wouldn’t have a complaint however we were highly disappointed with the food this morning. I got poached eggs on sourdough bread. And himself got a full breakfast. Let alone the cost of this breakfast the food was not worth the price. The sourdough bread was rock solid, we couldn’t get a knife to cut it the white pudding was burnt to a crisp and the bacon had an eyelash hair stuck to it. We literally ate 3 mouth fulls and left very disappointed, and still hungry afterward. There was zero effort put into our food this morning and if we are going to pay the amount we paid I’d expect an awful lot more! I will be staying away from here for a while as this was supposed to be a proper treat which turned sour.. you may need to consider refreshing your chefs breakfast skills!

28/12/2024: My preferred Chinese take away. I have never had any issues with the food or service. I recently had an issue with an online order, my fault not the restaurant. And they went out of their way to resolve my issue and sent another driver with the required replacement. Very much appreciated and grateful for their assistance. Food enjoyed by all.

07/12/2024: Ordering there for years and yrs. Used to be the best takeaway in the village. Unfortunately it has changed recently and flavours are not the same anymore. For example, my favourite starter chicken wings with garlic, chilli and salt - good price and a takeaway box full of yummy wings- I used to order an extra hot portion, wings were fresh, not covered in a thick dough but lovely and moistured by fresh onions, fresh chillies and garlic, extra hot had African chillies added and the dish was absolutely amazing. Ordered it today after a while and got few bits of wings covered in a thick dry red dough, all flavoured with powders like chilli and garlic. You would not be able to see fresh chillies in it anymore. Onions were also not fresh but a frozen mix of onions, sweet peppers and carrots! The usual mix u can find in any Thai restaurant lately...packed in a small paper box....for a higher than usual price...sad to see something good like that gone that bad, flavours and dishes matching all other takeaways in the area...I understand the price has gone up but the way of serving and cooking should not have to change as it was great. Pls bring our old Thai Yummy back as it was one in a million before it became one like million!

17/01/2025: If you’re in Athboy, this is definitely one of the best spots to visit. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The food is delicious, with every dish its full of flavor. Overall, it’s a great choice for anyone in the area looking for good food and very welcoming staff this is the best one in town and I personally like their kebabs but everything else is good. And the prices are very good and reasonable compared to others I've went too. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

23/02/2025: Placed order. Was told that order could not be filled. Asks for manager ( Betty ) was told she was not available. Young weekend staff were extremely cheek/cocky. When order arrived I did not recieve prawn crackers. Was told I got some already which I clearly did not. The staff need some directions in dealing with customers. While the food was sufficient… the demeanor of the staff was something to be designored.Will not b mor the staff is something that needs to be addressed.

11/02/2025: Our go to takeaway , mega box is great value and the Singapore noodles are great always speedy delivery , they have one driver who is great if your hands are full he evens closes your door for you , have not had a bad experience so far

07/11/2024: Was staying at the Ardboyne hotel but couldn’t get the United game on. Messaged this pub to see if they was playing the game and they got back to me straight away. Glad I came down, Mick & Tara looked after me and the wife, great characters in the pub and great drink offers. Highly recommend 👍

30/03/2025: A prank on the customers. Lemonade without lemon, 2 plates were ordered only to find out later that they were actually brought in one plate. You order coleslaw, it is confirmed and when the food was brought they said they didn't have it. One of my worst experiences in a restaurant, especially Romanian, where you expect to be treated at least with common sense. As for the food, nothing to say, good. Just send your employees to a good manners course please (at least during the program). NO TAX VOUCHER GIVEN IF YOU PAY CASH. The note is made by hand, like in the market.
