The best restaurants in Meath

09/09/2025: I ordered an 8oz fillet explicitly cooked rare, waited 40 minutes without a check-in from the wait staff, and finally received a steak cooked between medium rare and medium (see photo). Another table next to us ordered burgers, which looked quite good however!

27/08/2025: Great meal of chateaubriand for 2, and a sweet dessert for my wifes 70th. Fun environment, good service, tasty food, and fair price.

09/11/2025: For visitors to Navan, I'll clarify that the establishment has two areas: the pub proper and a separate restaurant. The former looks simple and suggests that patrons are there for a drink (and why else?). The restaurant is a contrasting experience, perfectly suited for families with children. The food is quite decent, so if you're looking for a simple meal without touching any alcohol, the establishment offers that option as well. In the restaurant area, the only clue that The Round O Bar is a pub is the few beer taps on the bar. The menu isn't particularly specific, offering an international, but most importantly, delicious selection of dishes. I ordered a Viennese burger and was pleased. My companions weren't disappointed either, despite some initial skepticism from one of them. Incidentally, we also drank beer.

21/12/2025: The food was great, lovely big portions for a good price. Went to order dessert waited 20 minutes to order then another 30 minutes for it to come out. Then asked for the bill off one girl, she went off and over to another table and started chatting away to them, didn’t come back to us, I asked again for the check off one of the boys and he went off never came back, another 15 minutes later I got fed up and went up to the bar and asked the girl behind the bar and she looked more pissed off then I was and wasn’t very pleasant. Would be a very nice place if the service was a lot better. If we had walked out without paying then they’d come running.

03/01/2026: My 3rd time going to Prime and each time I have gone the service has been amazing and the food/drinks delicious. Such a nice environment with friendly & attentive staff. I have ordered something different each time I have gone and I have never been disappointed

24/12/2025: From Starter, Main Dish to Dessert 🥰 absolutely fantastic and tasty. The lamb shank is the best, it's so delicious. Good venue for Christmas party, birthday etc. The staff, very friendly. We had our Christmas party here and stayed until 9:30pm and the restaurant just waited for us to finish. I highly recommend this restaurant. The price is reasonable. There is a parking free for 3 hours and nearby some shops.
