17/05/2026: Lovely little hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The bedroom was as described. Plenty of sockets and charging points. I'd prefer a bigger TV but this is a minor inconvenience when everything else was lovely. Only one small window opens. We slept well with one open in May and as low as 6C at night. There is no AC so I think I would struggle to sleep here in the summer time. We did have a strange experience after our first night. We had a lovely breakfast and went back to bed for a snooze with a do not desturb on the door. We were woken by housekeeping saying it was time to check out. We sent them packing as we paid for another night. We went down for lunch & our card was cancelled by the time we went back to the the room. It seems the system had us for one night's stay despite paying for two nights. We were given a new card and everything was fine again. The price for the room, bed and breakfast, for two nights was very reasonable. Particularly as we stayed Saturday & Sunday night I'd be happy to to return BUT I'd genuinely be worried about room temperatures in July and August with only one small opening window and no AC. I honestly believe it would be too hot for me in the summer months

16/05/2026: Absolutely amazing place, first visit and well worth every penny and will definitely be back. The ribs are the best we have ever had. So tasty and plenty of them and then desserts are so nice. The staff are really nice , friendly and make you feel so welcome. A must visit for anyone.

19/04/2026: Just called into Abigail in the Cottage Inn,Laytown for a very delicious and outstanding value take away cappuccino (€3.40!). Delicious coffee and the seating outside is lovely on this sunny Sunday morning. Next time you're laytown...go to the Cottage Inn for a coffee. It's worth it

16/11/2025: I know there was a Irish rugby match on at the time, but it was just as bad when it finished. Greedy owners packing customers into a narrow long pub with one exit and an even smaller laneway to the side Small bar meaning constant piles of glasses and bottles as people try to order their drinks (which you then had too battle back to your table and hope didn't spill them) Should be a staff member/bouncer om the door with a clicker counting numbers or common sense to see when bar is full

22/12/2025: Great spot! My friends Martin, Dylan and The Bruno introduced it to me a few months ago and what a pleasant surprise it was, if you are enjoying a few pints of Smithwicks you can enjoy a Clems kids meal for a cheap price and lots other options. The owner Paul is a classy traditional man who is a gentleman to deal with. Would recommend to any passerby and hoping they extend the pub or turn it into a franchise. Toilets are lovely aswell.

25/04/2026: Pleasant fine dining style experience at the heart of Navan. We began with a couple of starters. The tossed chicken tenders was one of the best we had in a long time, absolutely delicious. We had calamari as the next starter which was decent. For mains, we had basil cream fettuccini with prawns, stir fry Asian chicken noodles and penne with tomato sauce. Basil cream was luxurious and rich, however the prawns were a bit overcooked for my taste. The penne and noodles were basic, nothing special. We finished with sticky toffee pudding and crème brulé and both didn't disappoint

11/04/2026: Had a lovely experience in the gate today!! The women who greeted me were so lovely and really made my experience 10x better. The food being great was a huge plus as well !! Definitely recommend.
