The best restaurants in Meath

15/04/2025: Lovely atmosphere. Quality of the ingredients was high and the food was tasty. Unfortunately though, 3 of us felt that our meals were quite small. Mentioned it to staff (who are very nice to be fair) and was simply told "sorry about that. Unfortunately though, it's not a nice experience to leave a restaurant hungry after paying around the €30 mark for a plate of food, hence the 3 star review. Had the pork tomahawk, salmon and duck.

23/03/2025: Took a chance on a free table on a very busy St Patrick's day at the Vanilla Pod. We received a friendly welcome, were seated immediately and orders taken promptly. I enjoyed the goats cheese and peach tartlet and my friend had the steamed asion inspired pancakes. While the pancakes did arrive in a steamer they were not warm and the separate dish for the filling was a surprise. Main course was salmon and slow cooked beef, both of which were very flavourful and filling. Another surprise was the shared 'deconstructed' hazelnut meringue desert. We expected a roulade type meringue! Overall a very tasty and enjoyable meal. The only thing which we found strange was that the hanging area for coats (which were kindly taken as we were seated) was in a public area outside the toilets, so maybe not a secure place 🤔 .

26/04/2025: Really nice lunch here the other day. Staff are lovely, setting is nice too. Slightly overpriced in my opinion and would be great if they opened a few late evenings at the weekend.

24/04/2025: Lovvvveeed everything here🥰❤️ had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Everything was perfect, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

18/05/2025: We went to Sweeney’s for the first time and safe to say I’ll definitely be back. The staff were the loveliest people and so helpful and the time management was second to none. You definitely get what you pay for. Couldn’t recommend more

19/03/2025: Nothing available on the menu Arrived on Sunday at 2pm. I was given a menu and we both picked sandwiches. 10 mins later the waitress said “oh sorry we gave you the wrong menu. There’s no sandwiches available.” I then picked roast beef and was told there was “none left.” The menu is awful and 90% seafood which I’m allergic to so we had very little to choose from. I got my son chips as he was starving. The chips were disgusting. We won’t be back.

28/04/2025: I got served by a lovely girl who just started. She couldn't of been more helpful. Food was great and portion sizes were massive.

16/03/2025: It's an original restaurant for the French. You can get your alcoholic drinks from the grocer opposite. The food and welcome are friendly ..

18/02/2025: A bit pricey but ice cream is good we went for brunch and orderd waffles which were great. Service was good. Overall good.

07/01/2025: The Navan branch of Melt is a huge disappointment. I usually visit with a friend every once in a while for a treat and every time I go their waffle and crepe machine is cleaned and turned off, cofeee machine is turned off. This evening I went at 9pm and they were closed although advertising they are open until 10pm. Really disappointing as I used to enjoy going but service has completely gone down hill also not to mention staff are very rude and unwelcoming. Numerous times I’ve went at 9:30/9:40 and went in and been told they’re cleaning up and closed.

03/03/2025: Proper Italian pizza, none of your American rubbish. Great starters, sides and pasta meals to choose from. The staff on the phone are very friendly as are the delivery people. I don't know them, I'm not related to them, I'm just being genuinely honest.
