21/12/2025: The service was timely and the food portions were generous and delicious. We highly recommend it.

08/12/2025: Visiting for the first time, I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The beer was good and fresh. However, I was disappointed that the waitress took our beers while we had stepped outside. We had purposely left our belongings on the table, and the waitress had been informed that we were leaving for a moment and would return. Therefore, we were quite surprised to come back and find that the beers were gone. The waitress should have been more attentive. The second time, I had a steak cooked medium, but the meat was a bit chewy, although tasty. There should be special, sharper knives for steak.

04/12/2025: I organized a big event last summer in Caffrey's and the staff and management were a disaster. I definitely don't recommend this place.

26/11/2025: The hotel definitely has a great atmosphere, I liked the decor, the rooms are large, the breakfast is delicious, the staff is very nice and helpful, this is what every hotel should be like.

28/10/2025: Sat in with my girlfriend on Thursday afternoon and the food and service was fantastic. The waitress was excellent informing us of the sauces, wines and explained to us about how the chef prepared our mains. You can tell a lot of pride and joy goes into this establishment and it reflects in the food and staff. Definitely will return and I recommend the saag paneer it was the nicest I've ever had.

23/10/2025: Lovely place we visited driving through. Had bangors and mash with a pint of Guinness. Yum yum yum!!

25/10/2025: I've passed through Trim quite literally hundreds of times and never knew of the existence of The Coffee Works. It was just a fiat white and a scone, but it was a good flat white and a good scone. I'll be back.

13/08/2025: A great Irish Pub. No food (you can buy it elsewhere and bring it in to eat), but a great atmosphere. Heavily populated by very friendly locals. We were there on a Wednesday, and treated to an evening of traditional Irish music with musicians coming and going all night. We made fast friends with Gavin and his wife who were celebrating his dad Sam's birthday. we could not have been welcomed more warmly or treated any better by all there.

15/11/2025: ⸻ I recently visited this restaurant and was extremely disappointed with both the food and the service. To start, the garlic bread had no garlic at all — just plain warm bread with zero flavour. The garlic mushrooms were cold, as if they’d been sitting out before being served. The service was just as poor. We were never asked if we would like any drinks, and we had to ask for cutlery and even salt, which should be standard on any table. Basic things were constantly missing. The mains were another let-down. The lasagne tasted like a block of baked cheese, with the bottom burnt, and it lacked any proper sauce or seasoning. The carbonara had absolutely no flavour — just a bland white sauce, and the pasta was swimming in it, making it heavy and unpleasant. Even the facilities were disappointing. The tap in the men’s bathroom barely works, and the ladies’ toilet didn’t flush at all. Overall, it was a very poor experience from start to finish, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.
