The best restaurants in Meath

12/06/2026: We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. The staff is amazingly helpful. The ONLY reason we didn't stay longer was because they were fully booked. Food was some of best we had in Ireland. We will definitely stay here when we return to Kells.

10/06/2026: Had afternoon tea here for a friend's birthday. Staff brought out a desert with candles and sang happy birthday and also offered to take photos which was greatly appreciated Food was lovely and service was great, only negative was they did not offer fresh tea and coffee during our visit. The only parking available on the day was council parking which is not connected to the hotel and the exit out of car park to the front of the hotel had no footpath.

01/08/2026: We went for dinner on Friday evening (yesterday). The food was good, and the service was amazing! We were treated very well with the two waitresses from the moment we arrived. They found out it was our anniversary and we got a little surprise firework with our dessert, nicely decorated with a congratulations message by chocolate piping around the plate. The early bird portions are large and a glass of wine was icluded that made the price very reasonable. Super great experience, thank you!

06/07/2026: A beautiful restaurant as part of the Headfort hotel in heart of kells , always a favourite of mine , excellent food and drinks and friendly service by top class staff , definitely worth a visit , Fiona looked after us very well along with her colleague , thank you

14/09/2026: Been here a good few times over the years. Food has always been decent but the prices have gone up and the portions gone down. Dessert prices are ridiculously priced. 9.50 for triffle. Keep it Then I was charged 1.50 for water and a splash of blackcurrant. Taking the piss. Owners need to cop on

27/04/2026: Lovely old pub, it's great how they've managed to keep the character of the place. Pints are great and the aesthetic is really unique. My favourite pub in Navan.

30/08/2026: Great pub but i have to say once the Dj came on after the Musician. Its like the Dj is stuck on songs from 15 years ago. Oh my goodness shocking. Was like wedding music. Playing pitbull from like 10+ years ago and Abba Songs or DJ Ötzi - Hey Baby. Cringe worthy playlist. needs a new catalogue

15/09/2026: Such a great vibe at this restaurant! Lovely, engaged staff and great food. Ioana was our server and made excellent recommendations based on what we liked. We had a pizza, mushroom soup and cheesecake, and everything was superb. The cheesecake especially was absolutely delicious! We sat outside with our dog with Trim Castle as the backdrop. Just perfect!

13/09/2026: We stopped at Flambé after exploring Trim and had a really nice experience. We had our dog with us, so the dog-friendly outdoor seating was perfect, especially with the great view of Trim Castle. Our server, Ioana, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we had a lovely chat with her as well. Good food, beautiful setting, and genuinely friendly service — definitely a nice place to stop when visiting Trim.

20/08/2026: Order: Meat Feat Pizza Price: €15.50 - Good Value Taste: Great wood fired flavour and fresh toppings. Time: Took 10 - 15 minutes to receive food on a quiet day. Staff: Very Friendly

06/09/2026: In a world of mediocre cakes it is such a relief to find a genuine home made bakery that’s huge on flavour & freshness and reasonably priced. Ordered a red velvet cake for my little boys birthday and it was proper, old school red velvet, soft and fluffy & moist and delicious cream cheese frosting. The girls behind the counter couldn’t have been more helpful & a pleasure to deal with. Will absolutely be ordering again. Also bought brown bread & stuffed cookies when I was collecting the cake & they were devoured, such a beautiful bakery!
