10/07/2025: One of the best Pubs I've been to in years.. phenomenal Guinness Outstanding Barman..

07/06/2025: We had soup and sandwiches. Sandwiches were substandard, cheap bread, and tasteless fillings. Soup was vegetable soup and was bland and thick with bits of soft bread floating in it. Certainly, they were not croutons. Cups were mismatched and not the cleanest. Staff were helpful.

26/07/2025: Just had a brilliant time kayaking on the Boyne river in a big group with really fun instructors. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out! They thought of every detail and managed to teach all of us (with varying abilities!) to successfully paddle our way down the river with many laughs along the way! Thanks🙏

21/06/2025: Went for a Friday evening meal here recently. Fabulous venue both inside and out. Really pretty buildings and grounds. Decor is very calming and tables are nicely spaced out. Staff are attentive, professional, friendly and well trained. Food is really delicious. Superbly presented and the ingredients are fresh and flavoursome also in keeping with the season. We started with some homemade breads. Followed by starters of queen scallops and monkfish. Both delicious, fresh and just the right portion size. We then received a complimentary gin and lemon sorbet to cleanse and prep us for main course. I went for Roasted Cod with butter beans and my husband went for beef we got some vegetables on the side. Fish was beautifully cooked. Soft and still really moist but not transparent. Paired really well with the butter beans. (Chef kindly accommodated no butter for me) Beef was absolutely delicious. Again cooked to perfection. We finished with the cheese board ample to share. Definitely worth making a visit and enjoy some really fine dining. Only down side was the restaurant wasn’t overly busy so atmosphere was tempered and the night ended early enough.

21/06/2025: Food was OK but staff works as a robots and not pleasant. No smile, no talk. Even was asked by business owner to be quite at our birthday party. Waiting for starter 1h45min and alway had to ask to be approached. Not my choice. Not recommended for parties .

14/06/2025: The food I had was fabulous, a half portion of vegetable tagliatelle. The problem was I had to wait so long to get it once ordered. Had to sit outside because inside was full (not a problem though as weather was OK and I was parked right outside with a dog in the car). When the waitress took my order (fairly quickly) she should have told me there'd be a long wait as they were a Chef short. This was explained to me only after I went inside to ask if I'd been forgotten (waiting half an hour for my food). They were apologetic of course, but no good to anyone who's time restricted. They said mine was to be prepared next. The food was so good I would go back there if in the area.

15/07/2025: The food was good. The service was abhorrent. We made a reservation for 7:15 (three people) and got seated right away after a table of four. A table of two got seated after us and then a table of five or so after that. They were fairly busy and seemed to have a big wedding party group in the back going. We were sat down with menus and the lady who sat us rushingly said what the soup of the day was and that someone would be by to grab our orders and bring water. We waited. And waited. And waited. The tables that were sat around us were seen, had there wine orders taken, had their food orders taken, had received there wine and then there starters all before any server came to us with water or to get any type of order from us. I had to wave down a waitress who was skirting by us after bringing starters to a table in front of us ( the table of four who sat down right before us) I told her we weren’t sure who are waiter was but wanted to put in a wine order. She looked a bit annoyed or frazzled? But took our order. The waitress who might have been the manager because she wore a different outfit than the other waitresses was the one serving the other tables around us but not us. About 10 mins later ( 50 mins after we were sat) we got our drinks and put in our food order. (All the other tables that were sat around us were already eating there starters). We then waited. And waited. And waited. At this point we had been sitting for an hour and a half. Had drank all the water they gave us, and all the water I had in a separate water bottle and still no food or drink refills. I had waved down the waitress and asked for her to refill the water and she never did (twice that happened, three times I asked and only once did she fill it). At about 8:45 we finally got are starters. (Many of the other tables that came in at the same time as us and after us had already ate and left). Then at 9:15 ish we got our main course. The waitress brought out my steak and my other friends main course but not the Caesar salads another friend ordered. We waited 10 mins and eventually had to ask where the salad was and then they brought it out. *I want to emphasize that this entire time, the other tables were being waited on constantly without them having to wave a waitress down for service. But my table wasn’t being waited upon unless we got someone’s attention and even then, they seemed annoyed at helping us. * Finally the waitress who was dressed differently than the rest and waiting all the tables around us came over after I was looking for help for the millionth time. She boxed up our food for us but also seemed unhappy to help us. We then waited for the check, which I had to go up and ask for. The waitress brought it to us and just said someone would be by to check us out. We waited again, just sitting there staring around and no one was coming so I had to wave the same waitress down about 10 mins later to get checked out. In total we were there for over two and a half hours (7:15 - 9:55) Only spent maybe 25 mins of that eating and the rest just waiting. I wouldn’t be as upset if it seemed like everyone there was waiting but we were the only ones not being waited on, not being checked on, nothing. It very much seemed like we were purposefully being ignored. Again I would say the food was okay. My biggest complaints was with my starters. I ordered the mussels and the soup of the day. The waitress brought it over and dropped a piece of the bread for my mussels on the ground, said she would bring me another but never did, that bread just sat on the ground all evening. And to top it all off, they didn’t bring me a spoon for my soup. So I got to eat it with a mussel shell. If I could give them negative stars for service I would. I am overwhelming disappointed in it especially considering the price range of the food with the service one would expect and in contrast in what a wonderful time everyone around us was having because they were getting adequate service.

12/07/2025: We had a lovely evening at Flambé, where Carolann’s team were so friendly and welcoming. We shared the Mussels starter and had Sea Bass and Goats Cheese Salad as mains. There was a new Rosé on the menu at a very reasonable price, a bottle of which perfectly suited the warm summer evening on the small patio overlooking the castle. Apple Crumble dessert rounded off the evening. It was our first visit to Trim and to Flambé and we were so lucky with our choice of dinner venue. Great music selection as well! I wish the whole team well for future success of the business.

17/06/2025: We discovered this place by chance. Good service and reasonably priced pints. We had breakfast this morning, and everything was great, with generous portions. It has a terrace next to the river and the city bridge, which is very picturesque.

05/07/2025: What an absolute warm atmosphere. The smile when you come in and the cheerful service. Whats not to love about this small town lodge. Food is amazing, had the spicy chicken wings and it was just on point. In house chips with mayo sauce hit different.... You ahould try it. I give this place a 20 out if 10.

22/06/2025: It's terrible they didn't have the pizza we ordered, they brought a completely different one and it was frozen from the store I don't recommend it at all, it was the first time I ate such a bad pizza

31/05/2025: An amazing cafe in the centre of Navan. We were welcomed by the lovely hosts. They were so friendly & we had some lovely conversation with them. The food was delicious. A very cozy spot. We would 100% come back here again :)

09/05/2025: Absolutely lovely food. We always go here now. The staff are so friendly, nothing is ever a problem. The price is very reasonable,the service is amazing. It just won't be beaten.

20/04/2025: Gem of a restaurant! Love to come here when in Meath, fabulous menu and extremely reasonable price wise. Fab food, great portion sizes. The interior is lovely and cosy with a warm atmosphere and really friendly staff. Highly recommend!
