07/06/2025: Amazing! Now this is authentic (southern) Ireland. 🇮🇪 ☘️ ancient forge and delicious Guinness. Blessed to learn from Johnathan about the sacrifice of the Irish soilders at the siege of jadotville 🙏 . As neutral parties they carry the brunt of the UN peace keeping missions. The smoking room reminds me of my cigar bar back home. ⛳️ 🍻 9pm on Saturday is the time 🎉

22/05/2025: Wife and I held our day 2 Wedding Celebrations here. Paddy Swan and his staff really really looked after us! Staff taken our floral arrangements, vases etc and laid them on tables for us. They then safely stored them for us to collect the next day. Really nice touch. Pints are fantastic and the craic with the locals was brilliant. The setting and atmosphere of this place is superb and it all added to what was a fantastic experience for us and our extended families and friends. All of whom held the pub in the highest regards. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of any sort of function in the future, or even just to drop in for a pint! I would like to extend my gratitude to Swan's Bar again for how well they looked after us! A day to remember!

24/07/2025: Outstanding Indian food,had the Madras with lamb, rice and garlic naan. Lamb was very tender. If in Trim overnight definitely go!

19/06/2025: We had a fabulous lunch here with our family of six. Everyone's meals were spot on and we were very glad to have found the lovely spot. Wish we lived closer so we could become locals here!

17/06/2025: Any time i am in kells i all way's pop in food all way's good but sad to say the last time i pop in the lady that served me was a little rude any body can have a off day this would not put me off going back ......

19/06/2025: Fabulous breakfast- recommend the Builder’s Breakfast for the full Irish breakfast. Cappuccinos and lattes were beautiful!

19/06/2025: Nice place to stop for lunch. Tasty food, reasonably priced, friendly staff and a clean premises. There was a few tourists in which added a nice buzz. Not a massive menu but options to suit most.

22/06/2025: Stopped in on the way back from Killua Castle and was pleasantly surprised. Very cute spot, nice service, and the food was really good. I had chicken wings to start and the superfood salad with chicken as my main — loads of flavour in the salad. The wing sauce wasn’t quite to my taste as I’m used to buffalo, but the wings were nicely cooked. I’ll definitely be back.

27/05/2025: Rude waiter, didn’t like when I called him for anything. Asked for another glass of wine and when I didn’t receive it asked him again then he put it on the table without a word. He was not happy. Service is chaos , kitchen seems also to be under pressure, asked for garlic potatoes but got them when my dinner was gone as they forgot them.

20/07/2025: I was so impressed with the team in Ashbourne, especially the manager he was so helpful, so attentive, and most importantly very friendly, there was 13 of us and we all could not fault them . Food was just delicious, very reasonable, waitress knew exactly the days specials. I’ll be back 5**** highly recommend Ashbourne 50/50L
