28/04/2025: Wow wow wow what a wonderful place. From start to finish the weekend was amazing for our friends son wedding. Location beautiful, food amazing and Staff were unbelievable! They could not do enough for us David was an absolute diamond even found my sunglasses for me. Thank you for making it so wonderful x

08/05/2025: My boyfriend and I went there for lunch, and the food was really good. The girl at the till was very nice and explained to us how to order. As for the other staff, I can confirm they were working around the kitchen, as we saw them coming out to clear cups and serve food. In addition, the place was quite clean, and the staff were extremely friendly. Also, if I have to recommend a dish I will recommend what I ordered for myself, I tried the buffalo Chiken ciabatta. It’s really good, I will definitely come back again!

07/05/2025: Quite disappointing. I blame management for poor training on staff. one girl doing food running, taking orders at the till and making coffees while other staff stood around doing nothing while there was tables that needed to be cleared. if your going to have that much staff on please make sure they are trained and not leaving one person to do everything as it effects quality of service!

11/05/2025: Whites of Stamullen village. Located in the centre of this small village. Car park to rear. Food was excellent as was the service. Very clean and nice decor.

10/04/2025: Such a quaint pub in the heart of Trim. Popular with all the locals and a must visit for visitors. Great for celebrating special events as well! Great trad sessions on a Friday!

20/04/2025: Just home from La Bucca,in Ratoath...we pop in every now and then...they open at 4pm..which suits us as on way home from work at that time....the last few times we noticed an extremely nice young girl serving us...so friendly, pleasant, accommodating with admiral manners....I eat small meals...often only having 2 starters and it's never a problem...today she was exceptional when I was only having 1...pleasantly didn't mind at all...I asked her was she local...from Ashbourne...on way out Management was at front desk...and I mentioned I would like to Compliment..I think he said that's Lorraine..so Lorraine you are a asset to La Bucca, Ratoath...THANK YOU for your impeccable service..and oh, the food is great also....Marie H

27/04/2025: My favorite season for a rambling Sunday Afternoon drive is spring when nature is showing you all things are possible and the country roads are blooming with lush growth which was how we ended up in Athboy. I have wanted to embrace the physical presence of Athboy since as a teenager my pals mother traveled regularly from the Donabate peninsula to McElhinny's in Athboy for the finest fashion. It was a serendipity experience to find this wonderful restaurant on the site of the iconic fashion store. We were in the mood for a good food experience and we found all we wanted here excellent food lovely staff in a modern comfortable dining space. I like to find the good around me in life and showcase it because I believe in being grateful and appreciative and this restaurant clearly works hard to make customers believe in them. We had a wonderful afternoon in Athboy and the Cafe Sabrosa helped to fill our mind body and hearts with a flowering of delicious experiences.

07/04/2025: Swans Bar is everything you want from an Irish Pub, welcoming, homely & endless craic ! Paddy & his team went above and beyond to ensure our day two wedding celebrations went to plan. The pub itself has so much character, with an incredible outdoor area. The staff led by Emmett were at hand all day to accommodated all our requests. We did not get the Djs name but he deserves a big shout out also, playing floor fillers all night to suit all ages. To top it all off Paddy offered a shuttle service from the nearby Pillo Hotel for us & guests which really was the cherry on top. We can't thank Paddy & his team enough for giving us a day 2 that we will never forget ! Thank you, Shauna & Raph

02/04/2025: We had a fantastic evening in Swans for Day 2 of our wedding. We got married in Ballymagarvey and got in touch with Paddy as Swans Bar came highly recommended from a friend. Paddy went above and beyond for us - from helping us organise music and catering, to providing a shuttle bus to and from our hotel. We had an incredible evening celebrating with friends and family in a private function room, and once our music finished up we were able to go into another area of the pub where there was live music playing. We had an absolutely amazing night - all of the staff were so friendly and helpful and we really could not recommend Swans bar enough.

10/03/2025: Great spot for the weekend with kids. This place has a boutique coffee shop (closed Monday-Tuesday), the animal farm, and the farm shop, where you can get almost everything, including wine.

20/04/2025: 20 euro's for 2 pastries and 2 coffees. Queried the price and was told there's a sitting in fee. I've been here many times and was aware of the 50c change for the coffee. But this is new for the food.

13/04/2025: I truly recommend you to stop by Gorgeous Patisserie. We stopped by to have breakfast before doing a hike. The pastries, cakes and coffee were incredibly delicious. We also ordered fresh sourdough. The quality was amazing, the staff very friendly and the prices were reasonable. I will come back for sure.

15/04/2025: I previously visited this restaurant and was very disappointed with the quality of the food and most importantly the attitude of the maitre d. I did a review at the time and for some mysterious reason it has been deleted. Based on feedback from some friends I decided I would give it a go again as it is the only restaurant in the village that is quiet and comfortable. Although we had booked well in advance and had asked for a table downstairs we were told we had to go upstairs with no explanation or apology from the maitre d. As it turned out the staff upstairs could not have been more helpful or friendly and took our order immediately. The bottle of wine (a cheap Primitivo) was quite expensive but drinkable. The steak for the Surf and Turf was ribeye rather than fillet and came medium well instead of medium rare as ordered. All in all the food was edible but the friendly young waiting staff carried the evening. The Maitre D should stay at home and let the staff run the show. He has no personality and certainly one of the grumpiest I’ve met

29/03/2025: Just walked nine as a family of four and we were accommodated with a cosy table immediately. Food was excellent. Very tasty and great portion and the service was friendly and super efficient. We will definitely be back soon.

15/04/2025: Lovely atmosphere. Quality of the ingredients was high and the food was tasty. Unfortunately though, 3 of us felt that our meals were quite small. Mentioned it to staff (who are very nice to be fair) and was simply told "sorry about that. Unfortunately though, it's not a nice experience to leave a restaurant hungry after paying around the €30 mark for a plate of food, hence the 3 star review. Had the pork tomahawk, salmon and duck.

23/03/2025: Took a chance on a free table on a very busy St Patrick's day at the Vanilla Pod. We received a friendly welcome, were seated immediately and orders taken promptly. I enjoyed the goats cheese and peach tartlet and my friend had the steamed asion inspired pancakes. While the pancakes did arrive in a steamer they were not warm and the separate dish for the filling was a surprise. Main course was salmon and slow cooked beef, both of which were very flavourful and filling. Another surprise was the shared 'deconstructed' hazelnut meringue desert. We expected a roulade type meringue! Overall a very tasty and enjoyable meal. The only thing which we found strange was that the hanging area for coats (which were kindly taken as we were seated) was in a public area outside the toilets, so maybe not a secure place 🤔 .

05/01/2025: Lively and friendly with good music and regular live acts. Decent beer and whiskey selection. Always a nice vibe with an older crowd normally.
