Have been here a few times. It's one of the few places in Navan where you can count on having an enjoyable evening out for diverse ages, along with very tasty pizza. As some others have mentioned, please don't skimp on the pizza toppings, sometimes its been lacking. However, the great staff and ambiance brings us back. Overall, a great place and highly recommended!

Colin and Emily were very attentive, knew their stuff about the beers and spirits.
Colin went the extra mile with our pizza requests. We'd happily return.

28/08/2025: I travel from Dubai to Roscommon at least twice a year and I take a detour by Trim to have Pascal’s smoked cod. Remind’s me of my childhood in Trim. My brother has come from New York and the first stop is the Castle Chipper.

21/09/2025: Wonderful little restaurant with a decent selection on the menu. Early bird discounts on dining before 1845. Wonderful service from all staff who tended us and the food was absolutely delicious. We were made to feel very welcome and cared for throughout our visit. Lovely ambience, would highly recommend a visit

05/10/2025: Will never order from china garden in navan again. Terrible service. Horrible food. Wrong order and bad attitude when you complain. Was supposed to be salt n chilli ribs but chicken arrived. Chicken balls were dry like cardboard. Lesson learned.
26/09/2025: As always the food was amazing but Susanna was serving us in the takeaway and I have to say what absolutely fantastic service it was, she ensured our order was correct and helped out so much. She was fabulous.

12/10/2025: Dined there yesterday. Forever grateful this place found a space for us to eat after being rejected by fully booked restaurants. These guys did everything to sit us without a booking. We were starving 😄
Cousy atmosphere, very fast service. We had wings as a starter and burger as a main. Wings were 10/10. Burger was good, but I would add more sauce — it was a bit dry. Skinny fries were 10/10 as well.
Also, just a small note to management — wine service isn’t there. Young staff don’t know how to serve wine properly. But that’s just a detail.
Overall, 5 out of 5.
21/09/2025: Food was nice unfortunately non existent service didnt make it an experience to remember. Took ages to take our order after we sat down. Nobody checked on us .When we were done nobody cleared our plates , i wanted to ask for dessert for my little one birthday but i gave up.

18/10/2025: Booked a table Thursday for Saturday night for two at 8pm. Arrived to find our table had been cancelled as a large party came in. We were told a cancellation email was sent which it wasn't. The same thing happened to a couple right in of us too. Cancelling people's bookings because a larger group arrived is wrong. Eating in eatzen over 17 years. We won't be back again.
29/09/2025: Went for lunch yesterday. Food as always superb. Absolutely fantastic value. Had 3 excellent courses. The attention to detail on the desserts is unbelievable. Just love this restaurant. Keep up the good work 👏

20/08/2025: Proper chips, and they always arrive hot and fresh. The southern fried chicken is so good really well seasoned crispy coating and the chicken is never dry. Fast delivery plus they do a €2 bottle of chipper vinegar :)
