23/08/2025: Went here with my girlfriend and friend. It's a lovely cafe. They do very nice sandwiches and the bread they use is just georgous. They do amazing soup also. Definitely worth a try even if it's your first time because you won't be disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff

16/06/2025: Back to normal after Covid, like it never closed, great night out any day of the week, busy at the weekends, some live music to be heard at times too. Visiting Oldcastle, make sure to put it on your list.

04/08/2025: The Gate is hands down my go-to spot whenever I’m in Navan. It’s the only place I trust for proper, freshly made food that hits the spot every time. The homemade soups are absolutely delicious, full of flavour and clearly made from scratch. I had the chicken Caesar salad on my last visit and it was perfect: crisp lettuce, juicy chicken, and the dressing was just right. Their wraps are always fresh and generously filled, you can really taste the quality. The service is super friendly and welcoming, which makes all the difference. You feel looked after from the moment you walk in. Whether you are popping in for a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxed lunch, The Gate always delivers. Can’t recommend it enough!

04/08/2025: We stopped into The Gate Restaurant in Navan as a family of four and were absolutely delighted with the experience. From start to finish, everything was spot on. We had two fresh scones to start, warm, buttery and just the right amount of crumbly. The full Irish breakfast was perfectly cooked and piping hot, the club sandwich was packed with flavour, and the fish and chips were fresh and flaky with a lovely crispy batter. The service was brilliant, friendly, quick and welcoming and the menu had loads of great options for everyone, which is no small thing when you're feeding a family! Plenty of choice, whether you're after a light bite or something more hearty. Coffee was also very good, rich, smooth and served nice and hot. We’ll definitely be back. A gem of a spot in Navan.

26/05/2025: I recently popped in for a quick treat and was greeted by the warmest atmosphere ever. The girl at the till had the friendliest and kindest energy, being served by her was a treat. I would recommend this to anyone in Trim, what a lovely establishment!

05/07/2025: Hubby had breakfast and we both had lunch today on a visit to Navan today... we also had a coffee in between and all 3 were absolutely gorgeous.... piping hot fresh breakfast... Danny says white pudding was to die for.... The coffee I had was absolutely sublime... gorgeous coffee.... and the omelette and sweet potatoes fries and dannys toasted special exceeded expectations too.... service was excellent and food couldn't have been better.... also got some sexy protein bites on the way out.... Highly Recommend.... well worth a visit.

10/06/2025: Great spot for good pasta and pizza and also very reasonably priced. Great value as the pizzas are large and the pasta is a large portion. Large pour in the glass of wine which was nice to see. Very friendly staff. Will go again.

The team went above and beyond for us, so friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. Thank you so much for making the night so special! We honestly couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Absolutely outstanding venue and service!💚
