The best restaurants in Meath

12/11/2024: 1st class pizza and the sweet potato fries very good too as are the patatas bravas. Great to have with a drink in the bounty.

09/09/2024: Nice casual place, ideal stop to get a bite after a walk through the Trim castle grounds.

07/05/2025: Lovely place lovely staff. Worth the stop off. We were there from early till 4 eating and drinking. We weren't rush it was a lovely relaxed dining experience.

28/04/2025: Arrived just before 4pm and was told kitchen closed at 4pm and menu states up untill 4.45pm online and 5pm closed. Was giving a dessert menu. I decided I would order a coffee and a scone and a child's ice cream. Was told scones are only served at 12 and was on the menu I was giving. Also asked for a child's ice cream and was told don't do ice cream. So ended up ordering a dessert for a 2 year old which cost €7. Coffee was nice. But to be honest I was disappointed. Everything was either a no we don't do and when leaving at 4.50pm there was people ordering more wine so can't understand that just before 4pm we were told no food been served and food been brought out at 4.20pm to other tables. We ended up having to drive else were toget food. It's a pity for a such a nice Saturday afternoon that it closes so early.

25/03/2025: We had our engagement party here a few weekends ago, and the staff at O’Connors went out of their way for us! A perfect spot for a party. Thank you all so much, we all had a great night!

10/05/2025: Stopped in for food and pints on way back from Trim. Pints top class and food was very nice.

17/12/2024: Found Earls by accident. I just happened to pay by. I had the breakfast, which was exceptional and great value. The brown bread was very very tasty. The staff were so friendly. There were all sorts of pastries and breads. I didn't indulge which gives me an excuse to call again. Highly recommended

15/03/2025: Friendly, tasty good value good. Tasty not fancy but affordable for a gentle dinner out. Very worth supporting as there’s nowhere else in Layton. Are here Friday and Saturday while attending Archery Ireland in Gormanston. Enjoyed finding this decent restaurant trying to survive and build a future. Well done to the kitchen and waiting team. Don’t give up.

28/10/2024: A great friedly local. Our second time to visit this establishment. Very friendly owners and the locals, too. They don't serve food here. Gents toilets stink but are fairly modern. Women's toilets are fine. A bit of bleach wouldn't go astray.

28/04/2025: Stopped hear for dinner. Ordered cod in batter and was terrible. It was like frozen. Friend ordered the beef burger and said same. Very expensive for what you get chips were very small and no side salad with burger. Gone down hill.

25/04/2025: Attended a wedding at the Darnley Lodge a few weeks ago, the whole event from start to finish was a resounding success, from the brilliant, helpful and friendly staff, to the excellent food and service, I literally could not find a fault in the whole day. I would highly recommend the Darnley Logde to anyone who might be thinking of holding an event or wedding reception there in the Future @David keeping doing what you are doing you have a winning formula!!

30/03/2025: I have eaten here previously and enjoyed the experience, this time was different. There was no management the staff were young and to be honest uninterested to the point of being rude. Food was mediocre for the price, sadly will not be going back. Not many places to eat in Navan so this is disappointing. 4 out of 10.

01/03/2025: We had a group of 15 for food at Crave and it was great. They were so helpful and the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was great.

13/04/2025: Ordered a cake for my sisters baby shower, beautifully decorated and tasted amazing highly recommend!

06/04/2025: I ordered a beautiful cake for my sister's surprise baby shower . It was beautiful decorated in pinks and blues and beautiful piping and butterflys with a little teddy on top . Cake was just devine it was a vanilla sponge cake with jam and buttercream. Everyone enjoyed the taste of the cake and Sayed it was delicious.
