The best restaurants in Meath

26/08/2026: Silly system of waiting to see a staff member to hand you a menu, then sit wherever you want and then get back up too order (but then a woman came in and she was seated and menu put on table for her) The girlfriend enjoyed her fruit scone (good to be asked if wanted it heated), then I had seafood chowder which was tasty, the brown bread with it was spongy and tasty (as far as I could see you can buy it at the counter) Signage could be a lot better, can only see one when you're actually turning into the garden centre (love the branding on w with fake grass etc behind it) Average prices and helpful friendly staff Recommended as plenty of parking and outside the town, especially if a few people meeting up

18/07/2026: visit 8 days ago, i was very disappointed in regards to the service around the clearing and the cleaning of the tables when people have finished eating and have left the cafe. 98% of the young floor staff do not pay attention to clearing and cleaning of the tables when customers have left. I was sitting outside at a table which remained uncleared and unclean despite the floor staff delivering food to another table beside me and just walking away. When my food was served they just put it down in the space in front of me and then started to clear the table, a sachet of butter had melted onto the table and was left there, and the table was not cleaned and there was still cans and glasses left and never removed. The staff are young and seem untrained in the basics and that is just mot good enough as it seems to be happening regularly as i would be a frequent customer. it is such a shame as it is a lovely place to go to and would get a 5 star review if it concentrated and focused on providing good service.
